Ratio of speed of thief to police man 4:5 so ratio of distance 4:5, given difference of distance = 100 meter. That's why police travelled 500 m. And thief travelled 400 m
ratio of distance 12.5/10=5/4............1 unit is 160m then 5 unit is 800m i.e answetr
D=distance b/w P to T*[speed of policeman/diff of policeman and thief speed]
D=100*[12.5/12.5-10]
D=100*[12.5/2.5]
D=100*[5]
D=500Km
but this method is only gud for finding distance, but not as much efficient for finding time taken
