What about the back side??? If it gets pulled then the hair will get pulled out won’t it?

You can only use this method if there is no way of the back being pulled in any way. So don't use it on anything you'll use or wear if the back is exposed. Other than that, most of the time the back of embroidery is not something you would touch all the time, is it? If you hang it on the wall or frame it, the back is save and nothing can pull out any threads.
