Picking a name for another human being is SO difficult!! This is a name they will keep for life. You have to ensure it doesn't sound like it's made for an animal too lol
Saying that, Once my husband and I found out our daughter was a girl, She was immediately named Leia Elizabeth. She is 10 months old now and it fits her perfectly! xx

I have an Isla and although I still love the name she is the 3rd Isla in her class. If I had realised how popular it was going to be I would have chosen something else if I'm honest.

I love the name Elodie! I've never heard that one before. Jude and Max are such nice, classic, but cool names for a boy.
I'm obsessed with baby names even though I am 14 hahah .

my daughters Amelia and it doesn't phase me that others maybe called that too as she's unique. these things shouldn't bother you. if it's a name you like then you should just use it.

I absolute just fell in love with the name Elodie, I have a little girl I named Edison so I'm trying to stick with E names for possible other children and I think that just one a spot!! Its so feminie, pretty and elegant!!
I was just casually watching and suddenly my name pops up at the end 😂 and yes if you where wondering every single time someone says imagine I always think they are saying my name! But most people shorten my name to Imi or ginnie

my parents considered initials, syllables, everything and that was 40 years ago. in a book from the 60's full of baby names, the intro talked about these things, too, so.... but oh my goodness, isla is such a lovely name! never heard it here in my part of the states.
When I was born my parents knew no one who had my name now everyone seems to be called Isla! 😂😂

I love the name Polly, it's been one of my favourite girl names for a while now! Reminds me of Polly Pocket which I loved when I was young :) for a boy I love the name Jake, I just think it's lovely. Jake Payne sounds cute! Xx

We are currently 5 months pregnant trying to figure out baby names! Made me laugh hearing you talk about possible bullying variants of the name, as we are doing the exact same thing! It's so hard, and it is such a big deal. I think Elodie is a beautiful name though x

amelia has become such a popular name. growing up i was the only one in my primary school then there was only one other amelia in secondry school. i use to love having an unusual name but now i hear it everywhere. i love some of these names so much x
I have an Amelia whose 18 months old! My whole pregnancy everyone told me not to call her Amelia because of it being so popular but I just loved it so much I couldn't help it haha! We call her Mia now, and actually have been really surprised there are no other Amelias in her nursery xxx

Awwww I love Archie & Albie! You should sooo call the new baby Albie 💙 I have a girl called Maisie Mason! Love when the first initial is the same as the surname. If we have a boy in the future his middle name will be David after my Dad, but I agree I wouldn't use David as a first name I don't think as for me it's very much a dad or uncle name like you said lol. One of the names we loved for a boy was Archie Jude but it sounded too much like attitude if you said it quickly. We've ended up with a Jack Henry and a Georgia Poppy x

Our eldest is 16, we called her Shannon-Jo (I don't hyphenate her name, but she does), our youngest is coming up 13, we called him Reece (I wish now I had called him Reece Jack). I work in a primary school now and I honestly think, if I ever had to choose a baby name again, I'd base it on how many of that name there is at school and (this is quite shameful) the behaviour of the child. We've had a few troublesome ----- (I won't say the name) throughout the years, so wouldn't use that name, etc.

Well my name is Polly and I have never met another Polly. Although I hated my name growing up. I loved my brothers names which are Ewan and Charlie. I think Cole, Blake, and Freddie are lovely boys names 💙xx
I totally get the hardness of pairing names with "Payne" my other halfs surnames is "Pain", there's a lot of names you cannot pair it with it.
Isla was very unusual almost 22 years ago when I was born and was until recently. Now it's all over the place and that's really strange for me haha!
I totally understand what u both mean when i had my little man 2 years ago now i was over thinking baby names, easy to do. As you said your child has the name for life thats what made me really stuck on names to.
Well that was strange, stumbled across this video and when I heard you say Elodie I was so stunned! I'm half French but I've still never met another Elodie in the UK. Also my name almost never gets shortened - occasionally get called Elle but most people stick to Elodie.
