I love to see you do this educational stuff. You got me into chess some years back with your lectures for the Saint Louis Chess Club and this kind of content scratches that same itch. Go Ben!
Hi Ben, I’ve just started playing chess few months ago and since then, I watched a lot of your videos and I learned a lot from you. One thing that I always keep in mind is you say not blundering is the most important thing, if you don’t blunder and makes good positional moves every time you’ll win. So I try to see my opponents intentions and what it’s threatening to not make tactical blunders, and then I try to improve my positions every move so that I can have a slight advantage towards the endgame, but at my level, when the game goes on, my opponent will very often makes a blunder and I win the game easily. I want to say thank you for providing these amazing funny and instructive videos so that beginners like me can learn chess easily. Coz when i first started playing chess, I try to learn online, and most of the videos are about openings, traps and tricks. But tricks are for kids, and I learned much more as a beginner by watching your classes about principles and other ideas from the chess club. Again, thank you Ben for making me appreciate the game of chess and to learn more about it.( Sorry if my comment is hard to understand, I’m not a native speaker )
Learn the sicilian with vegan Santa.
Thanks!
that was a good video by Ben, liking this format
Good. I was just thinking of learning smth about (transfering my black play to) Sicilian, and Ben is the guy I enjoy listening the most, by far... One can actually hear something humorous from him. Ergo, perfect timing.., GO BEN!
Sicilian is fun but you need to have nerves of steel. As Ben showed, you get some very unorthodox king positions. There's a lot of games where my king ends up on f7 or e7 and just chills.
Sir, I love your chess, I cannot agree with your boxing theory. C4 is explosive. Knife F5. Boxing is far more civilized and gentlemanly than your weaponized commentary.
Were you Hans coach?
Actually there was a neurologist that proved getting hit in the head over long periods of time causes brain damage. I don’t remember the name but I know he was played by Will Smith in a movie. I also can’t remember if it was boxing or football. Probably both
CTE
I like this new formula. I was annoyed by the non chess non pop cultur stuff. Go Ben !
boxing is not a sport
A vegan who thinks boxing is bad is basically a meme at this point.
