Saying no, so I can say yes... this is excellent and I love the reference to self control and the fruit of the Spirit.

Truly touched by this message. Many of us start well, have a average in between and finish shabbily. The story of the John Stephen Akhwari is amazing. If he has the zeal to complete for his nation, we should exceed that for a greater reward awaiting for each one of us. God chose us not only to start well but to finish well. We have to PRESS ON and focus on Jesus, our biggest and greatest reward.
    God Bless you pastor.

Surely this is a false gospel. Skip is pulling Bible verses out of context to appear that it is talking about the rewards which believers will receive in heaven, but actually it is about attaining heaven or not. It is true that salvation is by grace trough faith alone, but also that everyone has to repent (turn from sin) to have a genuine faith which in turn will result in being born again (spiritually regenerated) which will be proved in moral conduct and repentant heart onwards. Anyway, here are two examples of the passages Skip quoted partially but are clearly taking about salvation of those who turned from sin and believed in Jesus for salvation and those who did not repent when they believed or fell into disbelief and unrepentance afterword's which lead to spiritual death and consequently hell.
    Matthew 16:25-28
For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works. Assuredly, I say to you, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.”
    Revelation 22:12-15
“And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”
Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.
