Hi Mark, nice video, do you which this spots are belong to? I checked with RASAAA the spots before the viaduc are not marked in our map? Any advices? Cheers see you around the Dee
did you put squirmy on point ? also is it at all possible to show your spots on a map? hopeing to get on the top part of dee by forestry carpark next week, have you fished this and any suggestions would be great. cheers
Usually, I fish at Llandderfel, near Bals, when the river is running off. Best fished when the Bala gauge is below 0.5m. Also, the Corwen beats above where the Alwen joins should fish OK when the Bala gauge is below 0.5m.
Beat Map link which has the country park pools on it I fished in the video www.llangollen-maelor-angling.com/pdf/Maelor%20Angling%20Trevor%20section.pdf
Hi Mark, the level was 0.85m on the Manley Hall gauge. Currently, it's 1.1m and dropping slowly at Manley Hall, which is still a little too high. When it gets to
Thanks Andrew, that is very helpful. I always look at the the Corwen gauge. I'll start looking at Manley going forward. I think I'll try and get out on Tuesday. Fisheries are fine but you can't beat a day on the river. I have been considering the tributaries of the Dee that the Corwen club control but I don't know enough about them really. @@hawker-overend5404
Love the video I think it was on that stretch when they held the World Championships in 1990 and everyone was in shock at the Czech nymohing method being used

Does nobody keep fish for eating nowadays?
What level was the river at? I am really keen to get out on the Dee again but it seems to be continually flooded. Thanks

@@JWFitnessHealth It is a good beat but in the summer the fishing is spoilt by Country Park visitors swimming in the river.
Does it cost you to fish that beat ?
Yes - It’s the lower beat of Llangollen-Maelor angling club and you can get a day ticket
