The Game Chasers are 2 friends hunting for retro video game in flea markets, garage sales, game stores and people's homes! And they are a bunch chodes - Ігри
This was great!
Thanks homie!
meh was missing Dodongo
i see melvor and i stayed for the whole thing
All Legends
Melvor is fervor
I enjoy his personality too!
Melvor rules, he always have good and cool topics
Yeah Melvor is like a powerful magician and I must watch his exploits
I didn't know I wanted this, but yes, this is exactly what I need in my life! I would love to see more podcast style videos from you guys!
You got it!
I enjoyed this alot.. can't wait for the next one
This small 20 min conversation is better than 99% of crap on UA-cam. Love you guys, Thanks for the content!
😎
Exactly
because this is the great old youtube. not that reaction shit now a days. Original content.
I love these videos and miss them, miss having melvor around with the guys and can’t thank y’all enough for this
I've been watching you guys for almost 10 years . Hard to believe time went by so fast. Stay the way you are , everyone loves you guys.
Your guy’s podcast immediately jumped to the top of my weekly queue, can’t wait for more. 🎉
More to come!
A Game Chasers podcast is something I will literally be more into than even the regular hunting episodes. It has been tough losing the CUPodcast. I would love to have y’all take a whack at it!
CU Podcast is awesome. Hopefully we can help!
I'm a bit out of it apparently, I stopped following the CU Podcast a while back, but I didn't realize it stopped. What happened?
@@Riceking10 Pat dgaf about games anymore. Ian as well. Ian doesn't work at a game store anymore and rarely plays anything but pinball now.
I'd listen to you guys sit there and talk for two hours twice a week easily. I'm genuinely excited to see more of this in the future. Hope to see more of it!
Topic for next talk: how conventions and Retropalooza have changed and how it became a business initiative for Jay
Either in a humorous or serious tone, you guys being genuine is the best part of your videos. No fake bs or trying to talk to the audience like they're children. Just grown men speaking their minds on all things nostalgic. Cheers.
Great idea guys! I would listen on day1 every episode. Who remembers the chode cast? Chode podcast?
YES! This is like those bits in Game Chasers episodes when you guys start talking about something random during interviews and I always loved that. Keep it coming!
I'd love more of this. Even one where you guys collectively talk about old episodes once in a while or take questions from patreons would be great.
Man, this format is just fantastic. Really hope to see more.
A game chasers podcast with you guys just shooting the shit. I would love to see more of this!
Talk about how Retropolza came about. Love hearing you guy’s stories.
I would totally watch you guys talk
I cant say you guys got me into collecting but you guys were the first youtubers i watched when i did start getting into collecting. I sidnt know about anyone else, and if i did watch another channel it would only be because you had them on your show. Been a fan for a very long time. Keep these type of videos coming.
👍
Awesome to see the podcast finally happening! Can't wait for more episodes!!
Podcast talking about starting a podcast, and I liked every minute! Definitely doesn’t need to be 100% video game related , but just y’all just BS-ing together is all we want
been watching you guys for years now since the first Game Chasers episode. Any topics regarding the current state of the video game industry, behind the scenes stories, funny stories outside of the gaming topic, or even any personal topics regarding your personal lives, if you guys are willing to go that far. Either or i'll be watching most definitely!
Im 32, not a collector at all. Shoot im broke. Reason why i always watched you guys is you all made me feel like i was in my childhood again. With my older cousind saying and doing dumb funny stuff. Brings me right back to good times.
Absolutely love this. Great hearing from you guys and your take on the state of things. Looking forward to the next one!
Love that you guys are making more context. Guys help me through some dark times. Thank you
Living in the UK, it's feels near impossible to find anything that isn't at the expected or inflated price.
Watching you guys, Pixel Squad, others, it gives me that satisfaction of finding something cool, rare or cheap (or all three) even though it's not me.
Massively jealous, but still in awe.
Ikr. UK sucks for finds. Especially after COVID. All my old spots have evaporated or shut down. Everyone has an ebay in their pocket. Charity shops lump it all online for inflated prices.
@pyrastanjord4353 a nearby auction house had some great condition SNES games the other week, and I got outbidded massively. 3 days later they're all up on ebay for about £100 more.
I completely agree with you guys on collecting. I narrowed down my collection. I love finding rare games in the wild and I resell to make extra money. So, now I have the best of both worlds. I still get the thrill of the hunt, while still have a small collection of games I actually want to play.
Your 12+ years game chasing is the content and topics I’d like to hear about. This is why wrestling podcasts are money, their experience is the content. This was fantastic and looked really professional with the cuts to speaker, kinda like sitting with the producers after an episode of a popular show. Keep it up guys. 👍🏻
I watch a lot of gaming videos, I come across you guys every once in a while in my algorithm. I watch sometimes. This was the most enjoyable to watch, especially in the background. It was just good discussion and not a build up, or a "get". Good job guys, looking forward to seeing this grow. Glad you and PixelPlus are doing this, there's not many podcasts in the video game world.
I really liked this. Looks like you may have captured enough for future episodes as well :)
Good to see Melvor back. Good idea for a show like this, hopefully it sticks around.
I like the idea, I will certainly watch it. Would be very helpful leading up to Retropalooza to hear what is planned.
Life long fan here...appreciate you guys
I wouldn't mind just casual conversation since y'all already have chemistry together. Topic can include any recent stories you want to tell maybe some stories of the past, any recent news stories, any recent shows, movies, or even games.
I would say just talk like y'all normally talk
Please do a podcast. I would 100 percent listen to it every week
props for innovating and trying something new....digging it...been watching you guys from the beginning
I like the format of the "the way game chasing goes" i liked tmnt memories, maybe work in lists. Etc. I think people like to hear your stories just growing up. Gaming memories people find they can relate to and feel like they are remembering with friends. Maybe blockbuster stories. Things like funny things that may have happened while game chasing behind the scenes. Whatever. I think people will listen to about anything. Game chasing, toy chasing, star wars talk, etc
Awesome, you guys need to do more of this.
I’ll listen to you talk about anything! Love it
We need more of these! Just guys be longer closer to that 30-40 minute mark like normal podcast
Oh this is awesome. My favorite game chasers episodes are ones where you’re just hanging out and joking with each other. Can’t wait for more of these
Mine too. The finds are always secondary for me.
@@TheMelvor Melvor! I’m a big fan man, looking forward to more content from you all.
Cool Idea Fellas! Any update on the Gamechaser Movie Orders?
we watch for your personalities. just riff like you guys are chilling and we will all love it. this is a great idea guys
Thing about podcassts compared to an actual show, is you'll only likely watch one where you feel you'd actually like to hang out with the people doing it.
that's why this really works :D
Finally this is a great idea. Talk about current topics and collecting. Doesn’t have to be all about games too
I totally enjoyed this! I've been watching you guys for years on and off. I personally would love having a Game Chasers podcast in my pod catcher. I dont have to have video and regular podcast is just fine.
Love this hope to see this as a future weekly series!
It left me wanting more. Great idea, please make this a regular show.
Loving this podcast idea, hoping for more in the future. Always a great day when you guys upload a new vid.
Glad you enjoy it!
Agreed 100%
I like the topics covered here. Anytime i go through collecting fatigue, I stop and try to play the games more. When prices skyrocket or theres no time to go hunting. I try to be appreciative of what I have. That tends to help me
Not bad guys. Definitely something you should consider continuing. Melvor does pretty good as moderator. Plus you probably don’t need to worry to much about editing just go in and talk. The lightning is just a bit off. But like I said I liked it the flow was right on.
Thanks for the kind words. We definitely be adjusting things on the production end.
Sometimes it’s all about the journey not the destination. I stopped collecting a long time ago, but I still do game runs with my friends because it’s fun hanging out with them. Great work with this. I’ve always loved your content keep up the excellent work.
Love that you guys are finally doing a “podcast”! These chats are gonna be fun.
Man I've watched you guys since 2016 and I still find myself getting giddy when you guys post something. You guys along with other gaming channels have gotten me into game collecting and collecting other things as well. Its been fun and created moments with other people that I wouldn't of known of if it wasn't for game collecting it definitely got me out of my shell. And playing games I never heard of or played before has been fun as well. Cheers guys 🍻 keep the content going.
Fricken yes dudes, super excited for this thanks guys for all you have done and do you guys are my favorite UA-camrs it's never a dull moment 😂
More videos like this please. I talk about this kinda stuff all the time. Always nice to hear relatable topics.
Great to yal together again. Really enjoyed
2012 "And I just knew I had to have it"
2023 "And I just knew I had to sell it"
This was great. Hope this becomes a regular thing.
I started collecting due to watching you guys when you first rolled out that nostaglia got me. I was forced to sell due to medical bills and other reasons gave it up and started collecting again this year I had no idea how much I missed it. Now I have games that I never had before since my childhood like mega man 5 and bases loaded 4. My daughter is old enough to play with me and that’s fun. I’m trying to rebuild my child hood collection it’s taking time and that’s ok. It’s not the race it’s the journey.
Ive been watching since the beginning! And still revist the old episodes all the time. Its awesome to see how far ypu guys have come! Props to the lot of yeah and keep uo the good work!would 1000% watch a podcast to fill in the gaps between episodes lol
Awesome. Hope to see more and the building back up
You guys had a major impact on my life. I used to be big video game collector and watching your episodes woke me up. I was spending vasts amount of money on games, large amounts of time finding them, and watching your show I began to ask why. These games were free to play and all I was doing was hording them. I was honestly scared that I was becoming AlphaOmegaSin and that wasn't the kind of human being I wanted to become. I still remember the day I woke up and realized I didn't have to do this anymore and that I could just watch you guys do it and enjoy from afar. I began to downsize and put that money and effort towards other hobbies and it was the best thing I have ever done. I owe you guys more than I can thank you for. Keep being awesome.
Over a decade ago, Gamechasers, along with Scottsquatch and Retro Hunters got me back into hunting down my childhood games.
I am in the same boat as you being a hoarder of games. I can play all these game one way or another if i want to. I just dont feel like filling up my home with "useless" stuff anymore. And i say useless as in that i dont need them.
Really Enjoyed this Style of Discussion. Keep it Going.
Fantastic format! Please kee it floating
I never fell into the completionist trap, but I just ended up with way too many games overall, when the collection went over 3000 is around when I realized it is way too much.
Always great to hear you guys chopping it up! If you're in to it, i'd be interested to learn more about you guys outside of games!
I liked when Jay said he got tired of collecting games and just wanted to do toys or vinyl or whatever...I'm the same. I was heavy deep into comics 5 years ago then changed to toys about 3 Years ago and now recently started collecting games. Got an nes, ps1 and gamecube. I'm having fun collecting memories from the older consoles and playing ps4 games I just overlooked.
I like this new show format! I'd love to see all sorts of collectibles covered. Cards, games, comics, toys, lego, vinyl, books, vhs, physical, media...just anything cool.
Good luck w the new format. I look forward to following your success!!!
Great video guys, I like the relaxed off-the-cuff format, look forward to some more as you get the time.
Totally agree collecting is a lot about the hunt and the score, and once you have built up a sizeable collection, it is nice to have it on hand to look at and play (but there are lots of ways to just play), it can itself be a burden. Finally, after all this time I have started to let some things go, in a small way.
Awesome content! Can’t wait too see future videos and guests
Great video! I love these type of discussion podcasts / videos. Have a topic in mind but just letting the conversation take you all on a journey. Keep making more of these and longer! Can't wait for the next one!
Bring Rob, Chris, Dodongo and probably bring the guys that make memorable game chasers quote in the podcast, like that 'whats wrong with this guy' guys, 'im a floating head' guys, 'hit the gym' guys (a.k.a Gaming Historian),etc...
Glad to see the channel growing at last, enjoying the podcast👍
I really enjoyed the discussions. I think that yall got something there podcast wise. Keep up the good work.
Love that y'all are doing this. I go back to the Star Wars movie reviews from time to time. Good stuff!
This is perfect guys, looking forward to future episodes!
This is a great setup, a podcast would be amazing.
I tell you one way the Game Chasers have changed, you both look a lot better than the first episode... RIP Jay's goatee.
I loved this. Great topic, too. A lot of the same stuff I (and many collectors of anything) struggle with.
I'm going through the "I need to sell most of this stuff" debate in my head currently. Just because there's so much and I know I'm not attached to all of it.
Looking forward to more of these!
You guys finally did it! Also what a gorgeous set. You guys are doing really great stuff here.
Listening to y'all just talk about games and such was nice, I hope you'll do more of these.
This was great guys. Please do more of these. Enjoyed it.
Melvor been wearing the same shirt since season 1
Really cool to see you guys and to hear it willl bemore in the future!
I enjoyed the crap out of this episode guys. Do this again!!
same here, its just like "i dont care, i just want what i wanna play"
I'm loving this new thing you guys are doing with this setup.
😂😂😂 Also cut each other off with burps and farts 🤣🤣🤣
Keep up the good work. 😊
I agree 110% I love the game/toy chasers but a podcast will be the next great thing! The videos of you guys just telling past stories have me dying laughing. I legit would listen to you guys for 2 hours if you upload an episode a week. Please listen to us fans.
JFC, I busted out laughing in a crowd as soon as I heard "Your mom is good..."
Lol
The podcast format is a great fit for you guys. I was a little disappointed when it ended so quick!
This was great guys. I can watch this everyday.
I would love to see more videos like this, kind of a podcast, love the setup, love the topics, keep them coming, been a fan since the first episodes of the game chasers
What I'm looking for in this new show: I just want Jay to say "That's a really good game"
I'm so glad you guys finally got around to this, it was fantastic!!
Love this! Looking forward to the next one already!
Real talk. More family stories. More behind the scenes stories. More Dodongo. More Melvor.
If you do a show like this/podcast, i will watch it every time.
Once again. How this channel after all these years only has less than 200k subs. It should be way higher imo
I sold off a chunk a couple years back and regret it everyday but hearing you all did something similar
It makes me feel a little better about it
Jay is on the channel in something that’s not a main episode?? Miracles do happen!
The problem with collecting is that it's a good thing that often goes bad because we don't understand what we really want. What does owning 500+ NES games have to do with reconnecting with gaming memories from our childhoods that meant something to us? Nothing at all.
I see so many collectors go through selling/buying cycles, and I suspect it's because deep down we know that at some point we overdid it. Then, when we realize that, we start selling everything off.. including some of the games that actually mean something and should have been kept. Then we confuse our regret of selling the few meaningful titles as a regret of getting rid of any of it, and start buying everything back.
And so the cycle goes on: sell off, buy back, sell off, buy back, etc.
Good podcast guys, and it's good to see Melvor again. 👍
