As an actual electrician the reason the plug is there is most likely because you can't have an outlet within so many feet of a window, and you usually install outlets in a garage, shed, etc higher in case of flood or moisture. Should be wired in series with a gfci, or an afci breaker. Also your are supposed to hang dry wall horizontal, but I understand you guys don't deal with the stuff every day.
calum ryan standard buildings in north America are 8 foot ceilings ... give or take .. hanging it horizontally allows for easier and fewer cuts ... plus it muds way easier ... on top of that ... they should have fire taped the drywall ... pretty sure that is a building code violation ... just checked .. yes it is !
The Game Chasers rocking the power tools! This was awesome! Nothing like undertaking a project like this yourself and standing back and feeling proud with your work! And what a great space for a temp studio. So many laughs during this vid too: Rufus almost cutting the cord with the angle grinder, Melvor getting shut down (during the insulation install), the Frankenstein'd wall... good times.
Not a bad job. I recently made my garage into a games room and put up stud walls and plaster boards and its not that easy if you've never done anything like that before, so well done
Jay, great video. Melvor, thanks for the paint explanation. Billy, thanks for... ... ...the attitude? ... we couldn't have been that uncomfortable without you. The tip of trading hours for pennies is a good, tough one to learn. Thanks for keeping up the entertainment.
This is like watching a larger scale Step Brothers bunk bed being built. I kept waiting for someone to start bleeding. They’ll have so much room for activities though!
Fucking nice work man, I love the wood grain walls, reminds me of my grandmother's house back in the day. Pretty legit man, I hope this allows for more content of the main channel and others!!!
i'm not going to lie, i enjoyed this so much that i actually started the video over around the halfway mark just to make it last longer lol! good going guys! and that wet bar was a perfect re-purpose table for your unboxing videos or just a counter of sorts in general!
Nice eps guys! I just moved house into my own granny flat and after being in a share house its pretty bloody sweet. Got my own studio setup. I don't need much but yeh keen to see how it turns out! :)
I think it was on the Game Chasers video. Billy was talking about how you guys were looking for a studio. I suggested you guys build one, but this seems much better. To bad it's temp.
Awesome Video! Can't wait to see the final product! Very fun watching you guys work especially Billy chugging Ultra Light Lime Beer lol. Just kidding it was fun watching him work hard on that piece of chicken as well. : )
how in the world did you make this so inteesting to watch, seriously?! i don't even know what it is exactly about the process, but it's so captivating, especially with all the incidental/situational jokes and the editing.. wow.. it's almost like watching an episode of Game Chasers (esp that one about restoration and the arcade auction one), i guess it's because everyone is so involved.. i'm glad you decided to film this, it'll be fun to look back to in the future i'm sure..)
You could totally use the first half for another horror movie, and once you cut the power to move that outlet, strange things start to happen. I sorta half expected something like that to happen haha.
On the next episode of the Game Chasers - Electrical Fire in the new studio!
that actually made me laugh at work :P
Melvor sounds so professional when talks about paint.
It’s like he works at Home Depot.
ganggreen1983 Melvor actually works at an home improvement store :)
TheCarArchives pretty sure ganggreen knows that..... hence why he said home depot....
@@LosN209 no
LOL thought the same
This video is awesome because Melvor is in it.

youtubasoarus he does work at Home Depot.
I had those wood panels in my house growing up in the 80's. Seeing those brings back great memories.
Billy did nothing...... standard ! 😂
Retro 88 Billy at 12:16 drinking a beer through the window was classic!
He ate chicken. ...
Billy loves working, he could sit around and watch it all day.
shmackatrotsky yeah that was brilliant! 😂

Hey just curious, why does drywall go horizontal? I've seen it both ways I'm certain
calum ryan standard buildings in north America are 8 foot ceilings ... give or take .. hanging it horizontally allows for easier and fewer cuts ... plus it muds way easier ... on top of that ... they should have fire taped the drywall ... pretty sure that is a building code violation ... just checked .. yes it is !
i was saying the same thing with the drywall lol, supposed to go horizontal
This is awesome! Cant wait to see videos from the new studio!
Spoken like a true Hardware store employee. Love ya Melvor!
You guys want to come up to PA this summer to work on my studio? I'm planning on doing a lot of the same stuff.

This was really cool to watch!! I'd love to see a vlog like this for the decoration process
Not a bad job. I recently made my garage into a games room and put up stud walls and plaster boards and its not that easy if you've never done anything like that before, so well done
One of the best Game Chasers videos that isn't an actual episode.
I built a game room because of you guys. Love what I’m watching. Pumped you guys found a studio. Looks like a great spot. Killer episode!

Nice to see you excited about the new space! The space looks great, good luck with the new studio!

15:43 the panel with the electric socket is upside down. Look at the faux panel pattern where the two boards connect.
Awesome! Glad you guys have a place even if it is just temporary.
Great video!!! I'm finally ordering season 2 & 3 of the Game Chasers tonight!!!
i'm not going to lie, i enjoyed this so much that i actually started the video over around the halfway mark just to make it last longer lol! good going guys! and that wet bar was a perfect re-purpose table for your unboxing videos or just a counter of sorts in general!
You guys are working so hard.. It's going to look good when the studio is finished.
Real men working there. The studio is looking good! 👍
Awesome stuff guys! Thanks Jays awesome Mom!
Jay’s mom coming through. The 80s living room set is a great idea. Need some authentic decor now.
Nice eps guys! I just moved house into my own granny flat and after being in a share house its pretty bloody sweet. Got my own studio setup. I don't need much but yeh keen to see how it turns out! :)
Glad to see you all finally getting a studio even if it is temporary . still a studio.
Man! I can't believe all the hard work you guys put into that place. Awesome job guys! The "80s corner" would be great for "Let's Plays."
A nice place to oil up.
Beautiful!! Great work guys!
Look up candle lighting for lighting the green screen, thats only for lighting. Just to light consistently for editing.
LMAO! @Melvor getting yelled at for throwing in his 2 cents. XD
You need some handpainted pixel art for those walls
awesome Can't wait to see the finishing touches of the Studio
Great to see you moving forward, don't work to hard!
Looks great! Looking forward to some new videos from the new place :)
Thanks for the update silly Jay
Jay had John Wick type moves rolling on the floor with the staple gun.
Great job I love how Melvor talked like a true sales rep lol. And Jay knows his Shit as well.
And Billy is spot on as the supervisor!!!
I think it was on the Game Chasers video. Billy was talking about how you guys were looking for a studio. I suggested you guys build one, but this seems much better. To bad it's temp.

Melvor talking about paint is the first informative thing to ever come out of the Game Chasers
I love everything about this video.
Damn you guys are working your balls off! Good shit! Chodes!
how in the world did you make this so inteesting to watch, seriously?! i don't even know what it is exactly about the process, but it's so captivating, especially with all the incidental/situational jokes and the editing.. wow.. it's almost like watching an episode of Game Chasers (esp that one about restoration and the arcade auction one), i guess it's because everyone is so involved.. i'm glad you decided to film this, it'll be fun to look back to in the future i'm sure..)

Passion...
Keep up the good work.
This reminds me of a real life trailer park boys! You guys are wicked
Good job guys!
Awesome job
nice! cant wait to see the end result.
the outlet box should have been left out 1/2" so when you put the sheetrock or whatever paneling back up its flush and the cover will go back on
new studio is looking dope
Man don't let Billy use power tools, looks great guys and the price is just right.
At last Billy can now relax in his own home!
Love an exposed ceiling, great for lights.
Reminds me of a This old House reboot with Jay Vila
That turned out better than i thought :)

Glad you guys found a studio...Behr is terrible paint though
let's hear it for Jay's mom.
Melvor knows his paint! damn studio looks cool guys :-D
I could lower that outlet for you. I'm not in the states at the moment though.
You could totally use the first half for another horror movie, and once you cut the power to move that outlet, strange things start to happen. I sorta half expected something like that to happen haha.
All the gear, no idea ! 😂
Behr paint is only sold at home depot!!! Jay, dammit, I thought you were going to Lowe's.
This was a pretty cool video
Home improvement. I like it
You should have made the bar even lower and gotten lower seats to leave plenty of room for bigger green screen shots
Great work there guys :)
Respect, its looking good.

Billy really helped out a lot
Sets going to look mint when it's finished guys keep going ;D
