For sure there’s definitely a lot of stuff I added for the little extra ooomph that really doesn’t need to be in there. I can take a look at it later if I forget the best way is to just @Me on discord hahadiscord.gg/YrdvKvDX
ive been running this as a sacrifice focused deck, where ive been running meren, savra and compy swarm, alongside nazgul, witchking of angmar, witchking bringer of ruin, and smeagol where my opponent either has to focus on my tempted by the ring and nazgul, or my sacrifice and compy swarm focus. As compy swarm works amazingly in a sacrifice deck. That aswell as dropping doubling season to double compy tokens and +1 +1 counters from nazgul.
The weird thing to think about is that whilst smeagol steals a land on trigger, he always takes at most 1 land but a minimum of 1 card. This means that the net result is mana flooding for your enemies as their remaining deck becomes more and more land then gas.... Pretty ironic.
It’s definitely a mind game as well especially when they need a land and you steal it off the top 🤣 it can get pretty crazy when you start doing it up to 3 times a turn when we get multiple ring tempting effects the deck oozes mana.
So currently im using smeagol with five nazgul, syr konrad, sporemound, and witchs cauldron so the thing im struggling with is getting my pieces and also having some defense, cuz the moment i tutor konrad i find i become top target, this along with needing reliable mana rocks/ card draw is a struggle. Any budget cards that could help my game plan?
My suggestions here are Altar of Dementia. Altar of the Brood, and cards that make creature tokens on EACH player's upkeep like Beledros Witherbloom and Verdant Embrace (Gollum needs more toughness anyway). Sword of Body and Mind pairs really well together with Hollowhenge Overlord in this strategy. Curse of the Restless Dead works for the Dunedain Rangers combo. Creakwood Liege yada yada yada L A N D F A L L
I’d suggest Shirei. All the Nazgûl’s are 1 power which means you can sac one on each players turn and it’ll come back and have the ring tempt you each turn.
The dúnedain rangers combo does mill. It says until they reveal a land and then put the rest in the graveyard. If you tempt infinitely then they will reveal all the cards left in their deck and dump the rest in the bin, no?
The thing that cuts us off is not having a land from the Sméagol ability so as long as you’re holding an extra land in hand to get another trigger you could definitely mill someone out! 😁
What are you typically targeting for Last March of the Ents? Obviously Greensleeves is the ideal but it feels a lil too pricey to cast with not much payoff. Maybe I'm just missing it
Usually I’d target a Nazgûl. It’s important to note their power can get insanely out of hand if you have as little as two on the battle field every time the ring tempts you you’re throwing 2 counters on them. Budget wise I see what you’re saying but if you have the budget I’d say definitely toss it in this guy generates an insane amount of mana very quickly. At its worse you draw 4 and throw all your creatures into play which honestly is still worth the mana.
Bloodbond March is kinda crazy - I played it in a relentless rats deck "Whenever a player casts a creature spell, everyone reanimate all creatures with the same name"
I’ve found even if they target Sméagol you end up with enough lands to recast him every turn. His commander tax is basically negated as long as you make your land drop and can get the the ring to tempt you.

I'm digging the new thumbnail style man 👍
Thank you I appreciate it I’ve been experimenting haha
Every video I’ve seen for inspiration leaves out Undercity informer. He’s doing what the commander commander does and is incredibly easy to activate
This is great. Was looking for a home for my Nazgûl. May have to swap some of the more expensive cards but thanks bruv!
Definitely there’s a lot of expensive cards that could easily be cut and the deck would more or less function the same. I’m glad you enjoyed! 😁
@@decktechsfordecks any budget suggestions to replace the more pricey cards?

bloodbond March has been my favorite card with the nazgul
with smeagul in play and nazgul in grave playing just one has given me some explosive turns
I strongly debated that card! I might have to give it a shot!

only 1 things a bit off: since they become beefier as the ring tempts you, they wouldn't be 1/1's anymore and wouldn't trigger her
Oh yeah that’s true. May still be worth it just for Sakura tribe elder though haha 😆
if you have a sacrifice outlet on board Shirei could work. just sca nazgul before the counter trigger
@@DocShotsPhotography Thats true. You need to make sure you dont get mixed up though.... which is definitely something i would do in the moment heh.
patriarchs bidding is another interesting one with the 9 nazgul.
I love this. If fact, I love this some much that is made it my first commander deck.
Im debating on buying this deck
Don t forget Bloodbond March👌

I’m still patiently waiting for a king of the oathbreakers deck 👀
It’s definitely on my list can’t promise when but it’s definitely gotta happen!
@@decktechsfordecksLooking forward to it! ❤
Spitting Spider would be a great way to use those extra lands
If you also wanted to make put spiders in for Shelob, Child of Ungoliant
What would you be looking to copy with vesuva + thespians? I don't see any real targets here
Field of the dead it’s stupid easy to get off with smeagol. 😁
Interesting! Thanks
No problem! They are both pretty easy cuts if you want to save some cash I was just trying to min max 😁
What’s the purpose of the single copies of snow lands?
Just some solid tech for turning field of the dead on sooner.
Gonna have to show this one to the wife. She's obsessed with LOTR
It’s definitely a fun one!
Deck priced out around 450. Prolly get it less but that's the average price. So pretty steep. But a great deck. I'ma get it
You could just proxy it.
Skullclamp would be great in here. 1 Mana creature kill for smeagol and draw two cards
Nethroi to reanimate all of them that dies. Riftsweeper if any get exiled from Grave.
I was thinking of adding some grave pact stuff to just help clear the board a bit to further cripple the other players.
No bloodbond March in the list now that’s a mistake that’s continuously getting ring temptations
Oh no! Your going to make me spend money again!!!
Made in 2 minutes 1st comment
Hell yea!
Bloodbond March is kinda crazy - I played it in a relentless rats deck
"Whenever a player casts a creature spell, everyone reanimate all creatures with the same name"
The problem with these types of decks is after someone plays against it one time, they know how to shut it down forever.

.. like every single deck? What makes this deck weak in that regard?
