Heheh, I cleaned up this front cover scan since there weren't any clean ones available at the time. Good to see it being used elsewhere. :) Thanks for uploading the complete soundtrack. A clickable tracklist in the video description would be nice to have, though.
This is another strong one with a lot of melodic character and dynamics. I played through Hydefos recently on my MSX2+ and would rate it one of the better STGs on the system, soundtrack certainly helps that.
Agreed, excellent shooter. What I also like is how the area paths are different every time you play it. Really cool feature which guarantees replay value. Some people find the graphics to be somewhat bland (mainly colourwise), but to me, the smooth and fast scrolling is a more than agreeable trade-off.
Thank you for the comment. This is actually a very good action game, one of the best on MSX2, from the creators of "Psycho World". It is worth trying if you are so inclined. You can play it online here: www.file-hunter.com/MSX/?id=hydefos
I had high expectation on this when it comes out because this was from the maker of Psycho World. But... didn't live up to that, IMO. If somebody says graphic wasn't very good, that's probably because it was compared to Psycho World.

The BEST msx2/2+ game EVER.
もっと評価されるべきゲームだったと思う。音楽だけでも聞けて嬉しい。面クリできない勢だから画面は知らぬのだが。
Thank you for the comment.

22:46 ここからが最も好きです。
走査線割り込み処理を駆使するのが昔のビデオチップの使い方。
SFCの物も、かなり狭いチップだね。
What you said, dude. But the most interesting part of it is: it's never used in the actual game.

Come on guy, there's nothing wrong with the graphics of this game, really. It's screen 4, just like Psycho World.
This game is SO good in my opinion, that it takes the cake: it's the best game for the MSX2 for me.
GAMEPLAY,PLEASE............................
