Hello and thank you for all of your DIY Navigator fixes! However, I just realized you’re working on a 2015 Navigator and mine is a 2006 with a 3V5.4L engine. Luckily I haven’t purchased any of the parts and/or special sockets yet. Can u please tell me which engine ur 2015 has and if your suggested procedures would be the same for my P0430 code? I also have had an intermittent “Check AdvanceTrak” along with the ABS light which didn’t come on this time. I sure hope I have a clogged CAT because I’ve only been getting 9-10mpg! This terrible gas mileage has been going on since I purchased it last year even BEFORE this P0430 code and even AFTER having the upstream O2’s replaced (not the downstream yet) and even after changing the oil, plugs, air and fuel filters as well as cleaning the throttle body! Only now did this P0430 code come up. This is the 1st DTC I ever got since purchasing it 1-1/2 years ago.
Anyway, Thanks again! Hopefully ur procedures will work on my 2006 Navigator. I’d surely appreciate ANY HELP/SUGGESTIONS on my poor MPG after…of course I deal with the O2 and/or CAT.

In my navigator I had the v6 eco-boost engine, you can follow the same procedure in the video. For gas mileage, I would suggest a minor tune-up which consists of an oil change, spark plug, and air filters. Thanks for watching.🙏

@@SidhuDIY Thank u for replying sir. Unfortunately I had already changed my plugs, oil filter, fuel filter, air filter and even cleaned out the throttlebody. I also took it to the dealership who charged me a ton of money to change out the upstream O2 sensor without even a code. So yeah!! I was hoping any of those could have fixed my low mpg but nothing helped. Now that this P0430 code finally popped up, I’m hoping that your lacquer thinner magic will work (after I check out the downstream O2 sensors and cat).

@@SidhuDIY I forgot to add that I cleaned the MAF and that the dealership did an injection cleaning. Would u happen to know if any of the freeze frame data (when that code popped up) cud help diagnose a clogged cat (or any of the other relevant sensors)? I heard the BARO cud help but I don’t know how to use all those freeze frame values except the LT/ST fuel trims which were all low prior to the P0430 (only ever since I bought the vehicle last year) code that just came up. Reason being, I’m in Seattle where it’s cold and rainy and I don’t have a garage. Ugh.

I know..."check engine" light is on, with a code P0420 or P0430, and related "catalyst efficiency below threshold" codes. Please wait for a couple of days because I will be posting a cure for your codes and it will be very inexpensive.
