Belzer is a punk, can you imagine him talking that way to Mohammed Ali, or Mike Tyson? No he thought wrestling was fake and disrepected his guests, so they would scare him a lil not knowing he was high as a kite and would pass out after 2 seconds.
You morons have no idea what a sleeper hold is, do you? And you have no idea the damage that can be done when someone falls dead weight onto the ground. Your head can SLAM into the ground VERY hard, and his did and busted wide open. You have literally ZERO muscle control when you fall while you are unconscious, which means it's INCREDIBLY easy to fall and break your neck due to your own body weight falling at full speed.
DeadlyDanDaMan it's wasn't a "sleeper hold". A sleeper hold is done from behind the opponent. That was a full on guillotine choke. Any time your unconscious, you can't defend yourself. "Front chin lock" he called it. Watch the video.
2 things. 1- he was acting like a prick and he asked for it. That and he didnt tap knowing he was gonna ask for it. So yes he got what he deserved. 2- Hogan should of known better then to drop him. Im never gonna be that big but i am 225 and I could deadlift with a belt near 500lbs and bench over 300. Thats not very strong at all compared to strong people and these professional wrestlers. But when goofing off with friends, my kids, my wife there is a certain amount of control and responsibility hogan had when he decided to lock in that darth choke and actually apply it. Hogan literally let him fall to the ground instead of slowly releasing it. Hogan deserved to be sued, the WWF paid it off but people need to be responsible.
Hogan applied it very gently so it was a strange incident. And from a suit for $FIVE MILLION "everything worked out fine" cause he SETTLED for only $400,000??! Belzer, by the way, DID finally choose to live OUTSIDE of America . ... in France. Apparently the USA was too rough for him.
He describes his and Hulk’s first meeting each other as Hulk being cordial and complimentary towards Belzer. Then just makes fun of Hulk and how he talked...what a worm!
These comments are ridiculous "hE aSKeD HiM tO" he asked him to demonstrate key word demonstrate not execute, the sleeper hold. And even if you are to make someone pass out voluntary it's just common sense to break their fall not let them drop that was so so careless of Hogan
I don’t know why every comment was critical of Belzer. Hogan didn’t have to choke a guy to show a wrestling move, and then drop his lifeless body on the hard floor. You also have to be impressed how Belzer had the state of mind to segway into the commercial break as if nothing happened. That was the best part of the video.
Both parties are clearly responsible for this. Belzer pushed for wrestling moves without realizing the implications and Hogan should've held onto Belzer instead of dropping him. Both were careless, with just minor preparation this wouldn't have happened and at worst, Belzer would've just passed out for half a minute and it would've been passed off as a harmless joke.
I don't know what's wrong with people who think it's okay for a wrassler like HH to damn near kill a guy who asked him to demonstrate a hold on live TV. You don't actually cut off his oxygen. You simply simulate the hold for entertainment purposes. Hogan later admitted that he felt Belzer go limp. At that point the only reasonable thing to do was to hold him up or set him down until he came to. Instead he drops him like a rock, and the guy cracks his head. Inexcusable.
I think he set those guys up. He was poking and prodding them with demeaning questions and statements and then asking them to put him into a wrestling move. Even after they refused to put him in one, he kept asking, and they kind of reluctantly agreed. I think they were actually playing into his hands. So he passes out, hits his skull on the ground, sued them and then ends up with $5 million. I mean, it couldn’t work out any better for this guy. Period.
Belzer is a scumbag for this incident. Just looking for a payday. $5MM suit and a $250K settlement. Then the dirtball turns around and thanks Hogan for the European property that he & his wife just purchased thanks to the settlement. No respect for him because if this. Definitely set these guys up
Belzer sued for 5 million and only walked away with 400K. I’m guessing with him voluntarily taking the choke, that his case wasn’t all that strong. WWF probably settled for what it would cost in legal fees to fight it.
It doesn't look like a "sleeper hold" and it doesn't look like Hulk tossed him to the ground. It looks like Hulk wrapped his python around the neck of a skinny jew boy who asked for it, held him for 2 seconds, and let him go. Then "OY VEY! I WAS ASSAULTED! GIVE ME YOUR GOLDS!" Then Belzer sues WWF for big money for trolling Hulk into giving him exactly what he asked for and later goes on to work for NBC for decades and nobody even remembers that this happened. Belzer got what he asked for. This is why we don't feed the trolls... especially jewish golden boys like Belzer.

Belzer comes off like he is trying to save face after poking the bear, asking to be put in a hold, and then going out like a light. "I tried to signal him and he ignored it..." I didn't see anything that I would have recognized as a "stop". It was an accident, and Belzer acting like it was an attempted murder live on TV because he felt embarrassed is ridiculous. The reason it wasn't an open and shut case is because you asked him to do it to you dude, and it isn't clear he did anything outside of your request.

Welp, I can't watch Law & Order SVU the same way ever again...
same
Belzer is a punk, can you imagine him talking that way to Mohammed Ali, or Mike Tyson? No he thought wrestling was fake and disrepected his guests, so they would scare him a lil not knowing he was high as a kite and would pass out after 2 seconds.
some permanent spinal injury? that complete bs. toughen up belzer.
Ikr? hulk Hogan said later he was applying 1/10 of the pressure he normally would
I agree& and he went on to have a good carreer too
You morons have no idea what a sleeper hold is, do you?
The publicity WWF got from this going into WrestleMania was way worth what they paid Belzer in court.
if you watch the whole clip, Belzer was antagonizing Hogan about wrestling being all fake prior to the choke. And then to sue is a total scumbag move
Jew move
I guess Hulk and Mr. T taught you some respect
you litralerally asked a professional wrestler to put u in a lock and what did u think would happen
He thought it was fake and no way a 6'7 350 lbs man could actually hurt him.
Anyone here because of What Culture ?
"Mr. T wont be winning any lifetime acheivements" xD
just wait
+Carlos Vargas Ikr?!! lol
No.
Nope, Planet Dolan brought me here. a much better channel than What Culture. ua-cam.com/video/eCA8tuhWRwI/v-deo.html
“Dr D” David Schultz brought me here after bitch slapping stossell
Suddenly? He literally asked for it and Hogan said it wasn't a safe area to do it
Best match Hogan ever had.
He describes his and Hulk’s first meeting each other as Hulk being cordial and complimentary towards Belzer. Then just makes fun of Hulk and how he talked...what a worm!
You can hear Hogan say whoa! And see him realize the blood behind the head
When someone is choked out, you do not let them fall on a hard surface.
"Tossed him to the ground." He literally just let go of him.
He dropped him ! Just as bad !
Yeah, Hogan felt him go limp and just dropped him. Just what you should do with an unconscious person.
Whether he let him go or gently placed him on the ground, he didn’t toss him to the ground like he stated.
These comments are ridiculous "hE aSKeD HiM tO" he asked him to demonstrate key word demonstrate not execute, the sleeper hold. And even if you are to make someone pass out voluntary it's just common sense to break their fall not let them drop that was so so careless of Hogan
How could wormy there have suffered spinal injuries when he was born without one?
Dude was a weasel. Mocked them then asked him to show him a move, gets hurt turns around and sues. Straight momo
In 2018, we now know that to be the guillotine hold and not the sleeper. Thank god for education.
It’s also not the “front face lock” as it’s often referred to as in pro wrestling
I thought the screenshot was bob Lazar talking about UFO's
plz dont injure me
"that doesnt work for me brother"
I can see why Hogan choked him out
Belzer biggest contribution in life was exiting it.
Hogan should have powerbombed him
@@RAMROD1847Through a table.
Not sure how Mr. T was to blame in the lawsuit but Hogan was guilty as sin.
somehow at the end of this i ended up having no sympathy for belzer.
Belzer got off easy. Hulkster should have finished him off with the leg drop.
He never tossed him to the ground he just let him fall down.
RB: Please choke me.
HH: Okay.
RB: Lawsuit time.
Think it's the dropping him that wasn't necessary. Could've killed him.
@@dave9547 It's like my first lover said, "if you want me to hold you afterwards tell me first and that also costs extra."
@@TheReapersgaze ok
Hulk wanted to let him feel it. But def didn't realize he was out. He must have been like ohhh fuckk lol
I love how Belzer changed the narrative.
Definitely set these guys up
Ridiculous. Only in America can you ask someone to perform a dangerous maneuver on you, and then sue when you end up getting hurt.
Why the long face?
“picked up richard then threw him to the ground...”. Did he ...? What part was that
6:19 "When you cut off the card-tid artery..."
The way the host overly laughs at all the corney jokes reminds me of Jimmy Fallon.
Never try mock a wrestler especially when in his grip lol
+The Illuminati This @ 0:33 is what a Jew boy looks like while lauging his way to the bank.
+The Illuminati That's an inverted sleeper hold that Hogan put on Belzer, and it was pretty legit.
He went to star on SVU until season 16
John Rain Lol @ "Anti-semite". Everything illuminati said is so true, you're just not clever enough to pick up on it because you're a dumbass and your politically correct leftist outlook is flawed. Has nothing to do with hating Jews (or anyone for that matter) but everything to do with understanding them. Every race has its own unique characteristics, it's just harder to notice when you're a leftist libtard like yourself.. So you mine as well call Beltzers characteristics an "anti-Semite" because he reeks of a typical Jew.
He begged for it then turns around and sues
Belzer comes off like he is trying to save face after poking the bear, asking to be put in a hold, and then going out like a light. "I tried to signal him and he ignored it..." I didn't see anything that I would have recognized as a "stop". It was an accident, and Belzer acting like it was an attempted murder live on TV because he felt embarrassed is ridiculous. The reason it wasn't an open and shut case is because you asked him to do it to you dude, and it isn't clear he did anything outside of your request.
But did he ask hulk hog to make him fall to the ground and make his head bleed? Bro u make no sense at all. Even tho this comment was a year ago lol. Let’s see how u feel if I was in belzer position
Hogan should have held him up he knew he was out mistake
'Tossed him to the ground.'
Really Roy?
Who doesn't miss adjusting the tracking on their vcr lmao
I remember Jim Cornette talked about this on his podcast and said the reason Munch passed out so fast and collapsed is because he was probably on cocaine LMAO
The guy asked for it and then sued when it didn't go his way. Sounds alot like the youth of today.
He asked to demonstrate a move... Not make him pass out and let his body drop to the floor there's a big difference between a demonstration and Execution
Hogan didn't toss him into the ground. Belzer fell out of Hogan's arms because he lost consciousness. There's a BIG difference.
Yes if it's literal 8 year olds. But not with literal experts.
Something similar happened to me, I stood up almost instantly and started amking jokes, and then a couple minutes later my head really started hurting
Btw this isn't 1990, it's 1984-85
The interview is from 1990. The incident occurred in 1985.
MisterMoop Gotcha
You should have known that as soon as you saw the Minnesota Timberwolves
It's 90. Hence the reference to T Wolves coach Musselman.
bitch i'm flying straight from the survivor
scrolls
Mister Moop! Thank you! xo
Dude selling it thick. Hogan didn't toss nobody. Richard went limp and Hulk made no effort to keep him from hitting the floor.
The video of this guy getting choked out is hilarious
