I love this video so much! ❤ You are the type of teacher that every kid likes to joke around because of your glowing smiles and goofy comments on them. Also I just followed you on TPT! Please keep up the school vlogs and more regular/AP social studies materials on TPT. I'll definitely use them ever since I've seen you teaching with those on here and now I have credibility on your work.
Please keep making videos! There are like NO HS teachers sharing their life. I am a future social studies teacher for high schoolers and I need all the info and DITL 🥰🤩
from public school student to public school teacher: you are a warrior. no one should be putting up with this type of behavior. trust me, we good kids who just want to get an education from school are tired of it too. i wish schools wouldnt be so afraid to expel kids who are dangers to others. but at the end of the day, these kids just need help man. and we see you teachers and know you want better for them and are doing your best to help them. even if it isnt said, yall have a special place in our hearts. it will be hard somedays, but just remember that theyre not angry at you, theyre just taking it out near you because school is the only place they can do that. and its never your fault, like ever. youre just doing your job. giving the best that you can looks different everyday. keep going, your good students will remember helpful teachers like you beyond the day that they graduate!!!! much love ❤- sincerely from someone who has to put up with this from day to day
BLESS YOUR SOUL!! Thank you for teaching the future of this world. 😨 preschool teacher 20+ years. A subtest away from elementary credential. And looking to teach online to not have to deal with so much behavior and demands of teaching in person. YOU ARE A GREAT TEACHER AND KNOW YOU ARE MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN THEIR LIVES. ❤
This is literally my life! I love teaching high school. I’m transitioning to middle school as a founding teacher but I am going to miss my high school students so much! Keep up the difficult but good work!
@@teachwithwoolf I will be teaching at a charter school. Founding teachers are the group of teachers that start a new school in the network. I think it’s only a charter school term because I’ve never heard it when I taught in a regular school district.
Very great video. Love your passion and enthusiasm. I am a principal at a high school and yea I can tell that I have the least number of teachers comparing to previous years. Wish I can have some teachers like you in my school; maybe come and spend a vacation here on an island in Micronesia. I hope someone can read this and at least to think about it. I am recruiting for teachers now; Science, Math, Language Arts, Social Studies, Mechanic, Carpentry, Agriculture, Food & Nutrition, Sewing, Child Development.
I just know all your students love you. I'm currently in college to become a middle and high school English teacher and I'm really hoping that I'll be good at the job and that I'll have a good relationship with my students.
Thank you so much, that’s such a nice compliment. As long as you want to, you will. Caring enough to try is the key. You won’t reach every single one, but you’ll make so many great relationships! ☺️
Oh bless you, you’re incredible . HS teacher from NZ here. I love seeing how you interact with your students. I am so interested in seeing how they teach in other countries. Pleaseeeee make more videos Ngā mihi!
@@teachwithwoolf there are heaps of similarities- differences are mostly language, desk set up.. but teachers tend to have a similar style! i love how You connect with your students!
Great idea!!!! Ps I love that you actually have paper in your photocopier (we usually don't) and your computer works (mine usually doesn't). You can tell that you're such an amazing and dedicated teacher! Keep going!
We run out of toner a lot! LOL. We are kind of lucky that because we are so far away from the main building we have our own copier. Thank you sooo much!
You have a natural presence that is needed in schools. Keep up the good work! I taught for 43 years in various grades and subjects. I could not do it today, yet a few things were harder back in the day. Kids are kids at the end of the day.
Thank you so much for taking the time to say this!! 43 years is a heck of a lot of experience.. what would you like to pass along to us less experienced educators? 😂
@@teachwithwoolf My advice is to try to minimize all the noise from school districts and their admin…the trends you ‘must’ follow, implement, be accountable for, etc. I taught long enough to see many initiatives and strategies go “out of fashion” and then back in again. And out again. I saw so much wasted money and energy. At the end of the day, teachers were mostly doing great things in their own classrooms. What they really needed was more physical hands on, honest to goodness, quality help; not self righteous lip service from “above”. Admin always has their own agenda and career goals. They were often counter productive to the regular teachers. Fly under the radar and do great things in your domain. That’s my advice!
I went to high school in Hillsborough county so this video was so interesting to see the perspective from the other side. I’m planing to start studying to become a high school history teacher in September in the UK. So cool, but go gryphons!! :-))
Oh, they can be terrible. I am at a rough school. I think building a rapport helps, and I've learned to pick my battles - but there are certainly classes I really struggle with. 1 course has been nice but it's primarily because no other teachers want to touch this course, LOL! Next year I'm back to two different courses!
I just found your channel! I teach middle school one county north of you and I am glad you still have your Safe Space sticker and flag!! It's hilarious to see the shadow boxing isn't just a 7th grade thing.
I’ll keep them until they make me take them down, which I’m hoping isn’t soon. Florida is wild right now 🥺. And yeah - they get so into it!! I’m actually okay with this trend since it’s relatively harmless and kids who wouldn’t normally interact with each other are doing it. I’ve never seen anyone get upset over it but I’ve seen a lot of laughing!
I'm an English teacher and teaching has been really stressful for me because in my country there's hardly any facilities for the teachers to use. There aren't even enough whiteboards for the class rooms.
I have been itching to ask someone…. what is with “these ones”? The whole “mines” correction…. I know you understand and get it. Even news broadcasters saying “these ones”!
@@teachwithwoolf having only viewed a few of your vids for personal knowledge about.your profession, you strike me as more than capable of the abstract thinking I've only discovered recently. Well my experience was horrid. I left home at 5am. Was always first there. Prepared, joyful. And all I met with horrid Principal, horrid parents, horrid admin, students whose behavior equaled. I quit. The End. PS: short lunch time, no pee break…..that’s what you will get. Planning period always robbed by Principal.. Never teach in Decatur Township Schools, Indiana.

Not yet, but I’m sure it’s coming. I’m in Florida so it’s not far.
