I find the best way to get them wheels on is to sit your butt on the floor and use your feet to level them up. Your eyes are already at eye level with the lug nuts so you can eye it in then use your feet to get them wheels on and your hands to hold them in place! Not a rain activity!
I’m an old school Land Rover mechanic in the UK, and I feel for you right now 😂😂😂 that roll cage is not an easy thing to fit and get right especially the fronts 😂😂😂😂
I wish that I could get a Land Rover again. Had two over the years - a 1961 series 2A and a 1986 90 with the 3.5l V8 in it. Both short wheelbase. I really miss them.
You probably know this, but the Defender dual cab pickup starred in both Tomb Raider and Spectre films. A genuine TR spec Defender still holds value really well
Hey man. It’s funny to see that those wheels are huge. Here in New Zealand we like 15-16 in wheels. But there’s a few brand new Rangers/Navaras that have big wheels with low profile all terrains. It just doesn’t look nice. Or practical for off road. Just an American preference I noticed. Cheers.
Ha, I'm from the UK and I'm on restoring a defender 130 and when I saw it raining I was laughing out loud because every time I go to do something on the landy its exactly the same
19:56 Sorry Kaleb, but that exo-cage is ugly. You did well with the install but the product itself doesn't carry off the Defender. Maybe this is a function over form thing...
ive learned two things working on my defender ONE if your not a mechanic but you kind know your way around by the time your done your gunna be really good after owning this vehicle and two there no such thing as easy on this vehicle lol every job you think will only take you whatever time double it.. nothing ever fits the way its suppose to and nothing is as ever easy as they say.
Always found it odd when people want their 4x4 lifted to fit a larger wheel/tire combo, but to a narrow sidewall ratio that’s functionally useless offroad lol. It just looks goofy, especially with an external roll cage. Those tires will peel like a banana WAY before that thing ever gets close to tipping over. To each their own of course. I just don’t get it 🤷♂️
Welp you’ve done it. I now know my dislike for anything Range Rover, Land Rover ect is justified lol. They’re not ugly but i strongly dislike cars that are unnecessarily complicated to take apart and put back together. Lol
Defenders are anything but complicated to take apart, about as basic as it gets, you can reduce them to their component parts with a very basic toolkit.
Man I want to root for you bad, but the mentality of "I can learn on the way" isn't always a good idea. That Fender is probably next to impossible to get in the states. And its not a roll cage, it's a brush gaurd, it's literally bolted to the fenders...not everything needs to be documented and posted....
I couldn't disagree more thats the whole theme of the channel is learn as you go if you want a professional channel with giant budgets and production your in the wrong place did you just start watching this channel? I'm just curious 🤔
@17969296 ive definitely been cringing for a while, I want him to succeed, what made me loose hope was the unsanded bumper for the MG. That he had painted anyway, this just goes right along with that.... I get learning. But why not learn to do it right? Why rush and not sand the cars? Why build giant bulky seat switches, when with the value of time spent in making them, you could have swapped them out all together, for a better product. He rushes to much, produces a sub par product, than says that he's learning.... idk man....

Yay you keep popping back up just when i start wondering where you been !
New Built! Let's go!!
Love the way that roll cage looks, & it was pretty easy to do!
Those wheels look really nice, definitely updates the truck

My car just died. Any giveaways planned for that Mercedes? I always wanted one and I like your style.
That truck looks MEAN.
Heyyy the kids r starting to actually talk now! Damn time flys dude. But i have been watching since you first put that ferrari diffuser on your mr2
Been watching you for years man always love the content!! You are an inspiration to the car community, or at least me lol Keep it up man!
Bro this is a PRICELESS GEM!! My Dad had one of these...
based on the roll cage sticker, that one was imported from Brazil. It seems to be in good shape, i dont see a lot of rust
Nice British weather there for you
I still gonna like your video. No matter what!❤
That thing looks gnarly
3:00 "A random kid appears" 🤣😂
Not random If you know from his videos he usually has at least one of his kids in it and even part of the builds. Family friendly 😊
@@Jg02468 I know. I've been subscribed for years. Pokemon reference. Lol

5:05 Ummmm. Shop??
Awesome truck
Oh yeah an old Land Rover 🇬🇧
looking good!!!!!!!!!
It wouldn't be a British car without it raining as soon as you start working on one

Lol that little rascal knows how to work the camera apparently 🤦

I agree. But why would the customer want a roll cage but no brush guard? I don’t get it.
@@cameronemmart7215 I was thinking the same thing! The bush bar was a keeper IMO.
