they got along when the show was on, they were just professionals. they were never bffs because they had their own lives. this is true of almost all friend group actors you see in tv shows. just because they work with people doesnt mean they replace your existing friends, theyre just colleagues.

I like the subtle Charlote-Samantha crossovers. I distinctly remember the scene where Charlotte had become Samantha to her old friends. Its one of my fav scenes. And here in this scene, Samantha acts just like Charlotte, needing a marriage and family for taking care of her.... its very funny and thus very relatable. Both these characters the extremes of one nature, and explains why a little of both is perfectly fine.
Actually, she plain just needs Charlotte. Charlotte's too busy planning her wedding in this episode, but she's been nurturing towards Samantha other times, despite how they can butt heads. And Charlotte's the one that brought how they can be each other's soulmates later. If they redid this layout in a later episode, of Samantha getting sick, while Charlotte's engaged to Harry, but she's not overly distracted by the wedding and can be there for her, would of been great writing T-T
