- Here's a tour of my backyard! It's been an 8 year process building the backyard riding setup in phases, and this gives a good overview of what I have back there! The only way all of this was possible was with a ton of hard work and working towards the bigger dreams. Huge thanks to all of my friends for helping with the build, riding, shooting photos and video, and generally having a blast back there.

This is the ultimate backyard and I want one. 😁
Thanks! Work hard and never give up the dream!
You guys should get a drop into a foam pit or a big gap airbag
I was thinking about an airbag, but Woodward is opening a Park City location next month, so I can learn stuff there!
I am surprised that this guy isn't as big as he should be
Hopefully it keeps growing!
Ive watched every video ive found on your backyard so to have a tour video is amazing!!!
Great job i really look up to you!👍👌
Glad you enjoyed it, and my riding!
Thank you Eric!!😊
I wish so bad I could have a garden like this
But I don’t think my parents would let me move somewhere so expensive 😂
Yeah, you'll probably have to do this on your own after moving out!
I live in block of flats so I don't even have backyard
lmao bro, i wish i could have bike
I’ve been here, and I can’t describe how cool it is. The Porter Fam Ranch is the best!
What's up!! Hope you make it back out next year, next time we'll ride together!
I've never heard the term "Talladega Berm" and as a fan of NASCAR that lives in AL, that is the best word for a berm.
keep up the good work :)
Thanks, I'm having fun with it!
Yard is looking awesome! Thanks for the stoke!!!
I remember your yard in SoCal, that was a wild setup! Riding the ditches too with Chase, and baldy full pipe too! Hope you make it down here next year!
Dang that’s awesome. I’ve seen other videos on your back yard but a tour by the man himself is awesome. I dream of a yard like this.
Glad you enjoyed it!!
This is sick!! I can see all of the hard work and dedication put into it! Nice dude!
Thanks! Definitely a lot of work.
The difference between your yard and your neighbor's yard cracks me up!
Haha yeah it is pretty funny. They are great neighbors!
this is really good example, for "fight for your dreams and u will achieve them"
That's right! Never give up!
No way! This place is better than an actual bike park. I just ride a tree stump in my local woods, you are really living the dream life
Hey a tree stump is better than nothing! Keep having fun!
Yeah I agree it is really fun
Hi Eric I love your back garden it's awesome
Thanks, it's a lot of fun!
Yess the vedio we have ALL been waiting for, keep up the good work Eric
Happy to deliver what you want!!
Awesome!
I wish I could have jumps like that in my backyard!
Keep working and dreaming, it can happen!
Your kids are lucky!
Yes they are, they have no idea yet!
I live on a super small land that’s incredibly expensive and I’m so grateful for that. But having jumps like this would be my dream. Keep making these videos!
Yeah sometimes it's tough to build, but it sounds like you have a rad spot!
That was a rad tour of the yard! Kinda crazy to be able to start the track from your guest room!
Thanks Bryce!! Yeah it's pretty funny where it starts, dream guesthouse!
Dude..... love all the reclaimed features! Wow I did not know those lips were built by Kelly, so rad. And you described Kelly’s lips just as he was. Super fun and friendly. Loved that guy! I cannot tell you how stoked I am to watch your “jump Garden” grow this coming spring and summer! I will be staying tuned brother!
Thanks Mike! It's pretty awesome to have Kelly live on in my yard. I'm already looking forward to next season!
Bro that is literally legendary!
Great video. You live in a cool place.
Thanks! You are part of what makes this place awesome!
@@PorterMTB you are one of my best people to watch
Cant wait to help with the yard upgrade next season!
Oh yeah, you're gonna be a big part of it I'm sure! Start thinking up ideas!
Awesome vids, brilliant yard! I bought 42 acres in Oregon,2 trails in this summer. Just started jumps this week. More inspiration please!
Thanks! That's amazing, I wish I had that much land!
I got inspired from your backyard and built some gap jumps
Good stuff. Thanks Eric.
Thank you!
Glad your backyard jumps dream came true! Rad setup
I still can't believe it sometimes!
I love your backyard
I love your tour it was gnarly
Thanks!!
Awesome!
🤙🤙
Excellent video
Amazing setup!
Thanks! It's been fun to see how it evolves!
You have a awesome backyard!
Thanks! Definitely a dream come true, thanks to a lot of hard work!
Good addition would be some big ass trees with a treehouse. Yard is already awesome though.
I would love more trees, and really wanna build a treehouse!
amazing!!
So rad Eric! You need a rainbow rail ;)
Looking good bro, hope to catch up soon!
Yeah!!! I wish I had video of that whole rainbow rail session in Telluride, I think I have one clip somewhere I need to find actually! Come visit!
Can you please put all of your yard builds/tours in a play list on your tube.
Loving your yard building
Good idea! Lots more yard build videos coming as the snow melts this spring!
I have been thinking about moving to Utah and buying land to build on. Then I click on to your video. Interesting, thanks
So awesome man! Really happy for you that you’ve made this happen. You’ll never top what Matt Beringer’s backyard was though! 😜
Thanks! Nothing will top Beringer's old yard, it was unreal!! I'm just happy I can help carry on the legacy!
Rad video!!!
Jeff Lenosky thanks! And thanks for inspiration and mentorship over the years!
this is sooo awesome!
Thanks!!
Nice Vid Eric!!!! Big Up, keep it going man
Thanks! I will new vids coming in March!
Nice yard!!! I have a course in my yard but not as much land as yours. Subscribed!
Yours looks fun too!! Plus it's way easier to maintain, mine is a ridiculous amount of work!
So cool
🤙🤙
Eric I recon you should build a bench and stuff for you to bunny hop onto or off of. Or a big banking that goes from ur final double to the pump track
Yeah that's a good call, I need some trials features for the new bike, and then at the end I do wanna make a new feature after the last jump.
@@PorterMTB just had an idea! you could get a tractor tyre, fill each end with dirt so it's like a small slope and then put the tractor tyre in the middle so then effectively you have a small lip because the tip of the tyre is sticking out of the dirt.
Here is the link as I think I have explained it quite badly mtbwithkids.com/skypark-at-santas-village/tire-ride/
Eric your the man
👊👊🤙🤙
it's so cool! I would like to have something like that
Greetings from Poland
Greetings!!
I've thought about doing this for several years. I have plenty of land. How do I tell if the dirt on my property is worth using? Also how did you get the right mix? Did you buy multiple types and mix together yourself? I've mostly been building wooden features in my woods so far but a pump track is the dream. Amazing work! From one dad to another - Lucky kids to have you as a pop. Keep it up!
Great video dude!! Stay Rad!!
Thanks! I'll try!
SKI BIKE!!!!
That could be fun!
Looks very nice I wish u could there
Building a steep tech trail across from my house, In Dunedin, New zealand, Go up to queenstown heaps and went to Mcgazza fest this year, I have a loam trail out in the forest on the edge of the city, Lake waihola which i ride my Dirtbike on to, Anyways love the videos man, And cool to know you have that much dirt!!!
That's awesome, I love NZ! Can't wait to get back down there sometime, I went to Queenstown for a week last year, I need more!
Fishes and mtn bikes.
Pretty sure we’re related 😂
Another banger
Thanks! Now I just need more time for fishing!
Hey Eric good vid man. I was thinking maybe you could just keep going with your ramps around your back yard. That would be pretty sick. Hope to meet you one day. I ride bikes to.
That's awesome you ride! It would be cool to continue the jumps back around!
Great build man keep it up (definetely make a half pipe)
Thanks! I'd love to have a halfpipe, we'll see!
Finally a mountain biking channel that isn’t just trying to get as many views as possible by click baiting and using smaller channels for a foot up (paul the punter)
Glad you're into what I'm doing, trying to keep it about what I'm into!
Hey Eric, what mix of clay/sand/top soil did you end up settling on?
Hey Porter!
I am wanting to build my own pump track as I have just started building my own trail in my backyard, could you make a video that shows the different types of features a pump track has (or can have) and building tips for when you are building them?
It's nice for us "kiwis" to be recognized 👍👍
You guys are the best! I love NZ!!
Cool yard
Thanks!
Soooo sick!! I’m trying to get a diamondback bike, where are the local slc dealerships? i want to sit on one!
there is a little campground at the base of Rockport dam i used to camp and get out of slc heat when i was schooling at the U, probably a stones throw from your place
That's awesome! I live closer to Jordanelle, but Rockport is rad too.
You look younger when you got older😂 You should be proud of a yard like that dude! Best of luck with your channel.
Haha thanks! Yes I'm very proud of the yard, and excited to grow it!
I have just bought a dirt jumper can’t wait till it comes
Jin Junior What did you get?
Myles Haas official it’s a Calibre Astronut as just starting out it’s a uk brand decent specs for 400
That's rad! They are so fun!
You should build a drop of the deck next to the roll in
That would be fun!
You just earned a sub
Thanks! Glad to have you here!
What radius do you use on your jumps? Please help....
Big up from South Africa too.
Sick
🤘
Porter MTB thanks
Hey maybe when the snow is gone do a ups date backyard tour and maybe a garage tour
This is literally my dream
Mine too, just keep working hard, hopefully it'll work out!
Porter MTB thank you
Really wish I could have a backyard like this.I have enough space but no dirt so please show us how you build such great stuff
Edit:you should build a tech trail for the kids and a jump line for the kids
Good idea! For the dirt, I had to save up to buy it!
@@PorterMTB Yes plz i have the place also the chickens but i don't have idea how to build a pumptrack
It would be sic if you made a video of you hitting the big jumps on skis or snowboard if possible
I looked into buying an old school to turn into an awesome house n the land was gonna be something epic like u have but replacing the heating system and fixing the roof was gonna cost as much as buying the place so didn't happen, but 1 day im gonna have to 😁
Whoa, that would be really cool!
nice backyard man, trumps my backyard!
Thanks! I'm always trying to improve it, lots of inspiration that blows my yard away too!
Heart
❤️
Your awesome
Thanks!!! So are you!!
My backyard is steep but I still managed to try and make a pump track. So I have some 180 degree berms because my hill is so steep but I also managed to build a double and a tabletop. I’m just about done with my pump track and if you want I have a few videos of it on my UA-cam channel and it would be awesome for u to tell me what else to build when it’s super hard to get lots of speed. Thanks
So cool!! I'll try to check it out!
I used to have an acre but all we put in it was a trampoline and a playset and a large hill that I never rode because I was like 7
you should build a loop d loop!!!
come over to mass you'll like it
I just love this place, if sometime you need ideas of certain spaces I would really like to help with. I have this Ideas that I haven't been able to cement but willing to share for the joy of riding. :) and sharing to every one who do not ride bikes!!!
I would love to hear your ideas!
OMG Lucky my backyard is tiny. I can't do anything with my bike. So I ride around in fields looking for jump like things 🤣
Hey that's better than not riding!
@@PorterMTB That is true
You should build a loop next year
Haha that's aggressive... but not off the table!!
ive never been this early
You're on it!
Wanna wake up to a back yard like this
Wouldn't that be nice!
Where are your top 3 favorite places in Utah to ride jump lines?
Deer Valley, I-Street, Park City dirt jumps!
How about a jump over the chicken coup. (Mostly kidding)
Hmm... definitely possible!
I cant figure out how to do a bunny hop any suggestions
Wahouuu
🤙🤙
Make a resi on the step up landing
That would be awesome, main concern is how it would do with the weather.
you should bring one young rider over from a couple of major countries and let them ride your yard (if you do accept my suggestion then please include Australia)
Haha that would be fun!
i loved the video you should build a whale tail
That would be fun, I love those!
Please god can I have one of these when I grew up
Work hard!
You should copy right your yard
Keep UP the good work
Haha seriously. I should come up with a good name for it.
@@PorterMTB porter's palace?
Flying farmland
@@thomashardbattle4287 That or Air Farm.
North Shore line from the top deck
Might put in a bridge or two!
TJ lavin
Maybe a shark fin?
That would be really fun, I'll see if I can figure out somewhere for one
Fat tire bikes for the winter in your backyard please
Yeah I think we'll have to do that next year!
The salt lake flooded the water park lol
