Both scopes performs well and I was very surprised with the Micsig. I didn't expect to see such good waveforms. The preset function is a good thing, will help save time in the setup. There are pros and cons to any scope you use but for the price you can't beat any one of these scopes! Thanks for posting this one Eric, I was looking forward to it!
@bobcombs7138 Thanks! At first, that wave looked horrible, and I doubted the box. I couldn't get the digital module going either. Denis told me change the channel name and Arthur said beef up the sample rate. Pretty cool it was only the second to highest rate. I always feel comfortable with headroom lol. I think either would find a problem. It opens up a whole new world! Thanks for commenting and watching!
Hello, really enjoy your videos. It was because of your videos purchased HS502 and downloaded Hscope. All I can say is what a great setup. For the price and easy learning curve you can't beat it. Now I'm no expert on this stuff but I saw you were having a problem with capturing can bus waveforms. What I found that works the best for me is go into page mode because of the high speed of can bus signals. Happy birthday and keep up the good work!
@als94cobra Thank you! It means alot! Yes, mow I know what page mode is for! That's the fastest signal I ever had to catch. Usually ignition, the pulse sensor or transducer, something slow lol. I knew I had to be doing something wrong, Denis and Arthur had me going fast. That telegram group is a major plus. Thanks for the comment! Have a good one! I am always learning something Artie. So much more I'd like to get to. There is a Harkey in the corner of the garage I'd like to run just about every test on, Bakers 68 Beatle this soring, old school ignition and set points with the scope. Hell, I know I'll find a way to use the pressure transducer on it also. I've even done that to a weedeater out of curiosity lol
@OnecallDiagnostics Yep, I tried 600 and wasn't cutting it . It's pretty cool. I never had a need, but it's good to know what I'm aiming for, lol. Denny and Arthur had me going with the quickness. I'll have to remember the 4ms. Thanks for the tip!
@@Backalleydiagnostics if you was to watch that video from bernie thompson at automotive test solutions you will see and understand why the digital module although cool impressively made and works great is really not needed along with seeing individual data packet lol well i explained this in my next comment so im not going to repeat it and bore you with the same information and again lol once again im sorry for always jumping on your videos but i like the fact that we are both from pa and i love sharing my knowledge that i had to learn the hard way with someone such as yourself that is willing to learn and enjoys it i honestly love what i do everyday and can't stop learning and trying new things i mean i a far from knowing it all but the things i do know i love to share so i hope i do not come off as trying to bad mouth your videos or anything like that because i am honestly not another great video keep em coming man and stay warm thats the challenge for us both right now lol
@OnecallDiagnostics I have watched a few of Bernies vids but not CAN bus yet. Just so much out there. I figured I'd start by watching Denis' vid. Well, I didn't catch the part about changing the channel name. They got me up n running quickly, lol. As far as can goes, if one of those don't look something like that, something is wrong. Now, at least I can check that far. I'm sure I'll play around more with it in the future. I do more timing chains than anything but had some time to play lately. I like using the scopes on anything I can, Bakers 68 beatle show car needs a spring tune up and a few other things. I can't wait to use about everything on it. Harley covered up in the garage that I've been meaning to use the transducer on, V rod in the next garage the owner said have at it. So much stuff to scope! I put that transducer in a weedwhacker already and have wondered about 2 strokes. I know what a 2 stroke should technically should look like, but....lol I'm sure it's going in the chainsaw soon! Hi, I am not sure on the time base. The last batch was 512 max. The Hscope telegram group is open and you are welcome to ask in the lounge but id guess the next batch is already posted. It might be 512Max again or 502s, Martin keeps you guessing til one day I'm hoping he announces a 4 channel. Any of them are more than worth the money, also i believe the 502s would be actually better at CAN even though i like how the 512 looks for sure. Just if you specifically are into CAN, the lower input of the 502 is right on the sweet spot. Cheers

You have to set your samples to 4ms a second and you have to use the channel labels and use the blue ones and label it can high
