This verse is of utmost importance. Recounting a personal experience: when my late mom passed I spiraled into “complicated grief” which means I couldn’t stop weeping. I got the church deacon to pray over me. I kept on praying Isa 61:3 over myself. However even under the care of the Dr I couldn’t stop weeping for 15 months. Then one day I was led by the Holy Spirit to go on a fast. I started the fast right away as I felt a stirring in my spirit. It was then some two weeks before resurrection day. In day 4 of my fasting, and prayer I suddenly felt the “spirit of heaviness” leaving my body via my shoulders. The spirit left my body and it spiralled upwards from my shoulders. I knew then I was healed of my complicated grief. I stopped weeping from that day onwards. I continued to fast till resurrection day. A total of some 14 days. PTL. Thank You Abba Son and Holy Ghost. Yes, to know the benefits of fasting and prayer one has to practice it, not from old manuscripts. I practice this a number of times and one thing very wonderful to me is that I didn't feel hunger while fasting but the Lord kept me steady as if I ate as usual !
How do you fast properly? Didn‘t you eat anything at all? Did you fast for some hours a day? Did you drink water? I am Christian, but fasting doesn’t play a big part in the church in my country. Some people, like myself, fast in the 40 days before Easter, but it is just a „light“ fasting. Some people don’t drink alcohol, others don’t eat meat, I don’t eat sugar.

When I first converted to Christianity from islam i was reading esv and niv but was keep thinking that i had made a mistake because the inconsistency but again God is so faithful he guided me to His Holy Bible the is perfect and i have no doubt anymore and i can say that I am so blessed by reading His holy word now

This is what I know to be true...What makes it so hard to fast intentionally is that we're constantly bombarded with ads telling us to eat "their" food product. We don't allow ourselves to feel hungry because we've been trained that way. Pray about that and then give it legs. Don't eat less, simply push your calories into a larger meal later. The practice is called intermittent fasting. Pray without ceasing is often misunderstood. It's not saying to pray more, it's saying continue in your prayers. Don't let anyone guilt you because "you don't pray enough." Study the prayers of the Apostle Paul. You'll have an endless supply of things to pray about. 🙂
Me too I was saved a year ago Christmas time so last year I read the Bible. This year I intend to make a discipline out of fasting the whole day Sunday and the last week end of each month. As well as setting my alarm for 3 time's a day to get on my knees in prayer. I'm going to have a year calendar on the fridge with fasting day's clearly marked. Wishing you luck too.🙏🩵✨

I agree with you 100 per cent. There were some very questionable Catholic resources discovered that are in serious question. Ask yourself the logic of leaving many of these verses out. Is it of God, or the devil? I'm with the KJV, and if you go to Adullam Films and get some of Chris Pintos materials you will be convinced. First rate films. The late Doc Marquis was a friend of mine and I remember he chastised me one night when I showed up with a brand new NIV Bible. I checked out what he said online and there were somewhere around 1200 verses left out. I'm with the KJV only now.

Why was it decided after 1611 to remove The Apocryphal books? It was a part of The Bible up until then. Why was it suddenly NOT part of The Word? You need to be careful about the apocrypha book, because those books don't have confirmation about divine origin. This is the reason why those books are separate. If you read it carefully, you can notice that some books are not in the line of the scriptures at all.

I had demons in me, demon of anger, lust, pornography. After I was baptized, the demon of anger left. However I was still stuck with the demon of lust and pornography. I fasted and prayed for months. One morning I woke up and these demons came out of me. No more problems except for the fact they always try to come back into me.

I had a dream. I saw a picture of a close relative. It was the cover of a small thick book. The pages were full of smudges and torn pieces sticking out from the pages. It appeared to be a diary or journal of this relatives life. The thought of curses came to mind when looking at it. I wanted to pray for this person and the voice of the Lord said "you must pray in the Spirit". To me that meant speak in tongues. So i started to speak in tongues and felt the spirit take over. In my dream I could visually see the breath of the Holy Spirit blow away all of the smudges and tears through the pages. All of the pages were blown till they were clear and transparent. I felt that something wonderful happened in that dream for that person.

FACT CHECK: I have 'The Complete Jewish Bible' (both OT & NT) and 'The Didache (Catholic) Bible', and Matthew 17:21 is indeed missing from both of them. The verses run smoothly from 20 to 22 without pause. However, I also have an older King James Bible, and that verse, Matthew 17:21, is there. The presenter of this site is correct.

This is why it is important to read the entire Bible from cover to cover, and then do it again and again. In so doing, you will eventually know immediately when someone tries to pass something off as Scripture which is not.
No they're not. The didache is older than the king James. And the king James used the later manuscripts, opting to move away from the much better copy held in codex sinaiticus. Codex Sianaiticus and Codex Vaticanus, older but exceedingly corrupt manuscripts (the bases for most modern translations) do not have this verse. Yet the verse is attested by early authors like Clement of Alexandra (c. 200) and Tertullian, Origen, and many others. It would be more appropriate if the modern Bible stated, "This verse is attested to in the majority of manuscripts and is witnessed by many early authors, but we blindly follow the corrupt Alexandrian manuscripts which we will always claim to be the "best" and have therefore needlessly removed this verse."

I disagree completely. I was in a marriage going south. My wife walked out on me and my multiple disabled son. I still loved her. I prayed, putting my faith that God would mend the marriage and we'd be together again. I prayed for her and my son to be healthy and safe. Didn't happen. My wife died all alone in an apartment from a ruptured stomach aneurysm and five months later I lost my son due to a fatal accident. I can never truly believe the Bible anymore. I had the faith that Jesus preached about, but I guess God doesn't honor faith anymore.

The prayer DOES put everything that humans experience into perspective by stating FROM THE BEGINNING that God is our Father; HE ALONE is in control; and HIS will is always going to predominate. Neither you nor I can control human lifespans, nor will we always understand why our (yes, mine too) wives are taken from us, nor why our children ( yes, mine too) are not with us anymore. The only answer is that our God wishes to build your, my, and many other believers' faith in HIS Lordship, HIS Mastery, HIS kingdom come. When we expect ALL our hopes an😢d prayers to be answered, who are we telling God our "master" REALLY" is?...and at that point (spoiler alert) it isn't HIM. Are you (and did I) willing to put God's will 1st and pray to become submissive to HIS authority and directives? It took me 20 years after my children and wife's departure to submit: I pray that it won't take that long for you. PRAY every day, and meditate with your Bible open in front of you. We must seek Him first and with our whole being, it is then that we will truly find Him. And that you truly see His love for you was poured out on the cross, and was freely given to all who would believe IN HIM-not in their circumstances. In my Good News Bible, it has that verse that the bottom of the page, as a note saying that some mensprects don't included the verse. It also has a link to the verse in the book of Mark, of the same story that is in the book of Matthew that this verse is a part of in some mensprects. The verse in Mark, is Mark 9 vs 29.
The siniaticus and vaticanus manuscripts are allegedly the oldest, however there is evidence to suggest that they are not. TheNIV ans ESV are both based on these manuscripts. You mentioned that the KJV is based on a few manuscripts, however, I believe there are now over 5,000 manuscripts that validate the KJV.
You are correct. Also the 2 manuscripts you mentioned above were most likely the heresy writings that Paul was so admittedly against. Please do your research on who found these manuscripts where they were found. Does it sound like God to take away from his perfect word that had been pasted down from every generation from Jesus till now? Be super careful older doesn't mean more authentic. In Matthew 17:21 Jesus was talking to disciples answering their question of why they couldn't cast out the demon in a person. The answer was that the problem was within them. The Cure was fasting with prayer enabled them and us to clearly believe without the distractions of this world with its beliefs, its ideas and it's religious doctrines of devils. It freed the disciples to then be able to free others.

Absolute nonsense. The new translations dilute the Bible and the deity of Jesus Christ. I started reading KJV then went to ESV and come back again to KJV. KJV is the only complete Bible nothing taken away from the power of the word of God and nothing added to it and the only inspired translation by the Holy Ghost the rest are inspired by man's ego, a scholar wow, or by an untrue spirit. My issue with kjv compared to nkjv is that kjv references easter which is based on the goddess eostre, where nkjv uses the word passover which is what Jesus observed.
It depends on what Easter means to you. Perhaps knowing it is referring to the Passover then make it mean that. One thing to note though is that one time when it was used was in Acts 12:4 which was after the resurrection and hence the Lord Jesus had already fulfilled the Passover.

I think stuff like this was practice for what theyre doing today with information.. I remember hearing this ages ago and some book store owner had a store called something to that effect (lion/wolf or lion/lamb) in New York i think and people were always calling them with the same question. I just started reading the Word seriously ten years ago but I grew up in church and lion lamb feels right.. wolf is used to refer to the devil a lot so it feels off but who knows.. I read consistently now though because I know a time of amos is coming where we will search for the Word and not be able to find it

The lion and lamb is a misquote that started in the 50's as part of a twisting of the word that preceded the flood of new bible translations, that further changed our understanding of the word. I have this verse in my Bible. The Bible verses are left out by those that transfer information, and not of God. I have a listing I keep in my Bible of 16 verses that are in the King James Version of the Bible. I won’t read any version that has been altered or left out. God would never do that and it is cause for concern. These verses were written by those that were close to God. Be aware of what’s not there. It is a danger. The prospective you talk about is from man’s prospective and not Gods perspective! Be aware of people changing the Bible, there are NO changes made by God as to what is right or wrong.

Which version? My Bible is a KJV and 40 years old. It say lion and lamb. Everyone should read the Pilgrim’s Bible. Not all books are considered inspired but it helps us understand the history of our faith. It’s the Geneva 1560 Bible. The Ethiopian Bible has over 100 books and it’s the same - many of the books are historical not inspired. They do help with understanding the Bible better.
Wow I didnt know this about the NIV. How DARE they take it out and just gave a tiny text below explaining that some manuscripts had it? It shud be done in the opposite way.. including it in the text and then explaining below that it was missing in some. They do not have the authority to take it out like that. I never douted the authenticity of the verse when I read it missing from some. I believe wholeheartedly and was blessed. There were so many times I struggled so hard in spiritual warfare but later gained decisive victory due to fasting and the strength and abundant anointing it brought.
It's not missing. What actually happened is some of the older manuscripts of the biblical text of the Bible that were found later than say the Geneva Bible or KJV were translated did not have those verses in them. So when you look at translations like the NIV, which was translated from older versions of the biblical text that were found more recently, it's not there, but a footnote tells you that some manuscripts do not have it. So one could argue that it possibly could have been added later.

Recounting a personal experience: when my late mom passed I spiraled into “complicated grief” which means I couldn’t stop weeping. I got the church deacon to pray over me. I kept on praying Isa 61:3 over myself. However even under the care of the Dr I couldn’t stop weeping for 15 months. Then one day I was led by the Holy Spirit to go on a fast. I started the fast right away as I felt a stirring in my spirit. It was then some two weeks before resurrection day. In day 4 of my fasting, and prayer I suddenly felt the “spirit of heaviness” leaving my body via my shoulders. The spirit left my body and it spiralled upwards from my shoulders. I knew then I was healed of my complicated grief. I stopped weeping from that day onwards. I continued to fast till resurrection day. A total of some 14 days. PTL. Thank You Abba Son and Holy Ghost. Yes, to know the benefits of fasting and prayer one has to practice it, not from old manuscripts. I practice this a number of times and one thing very wonderful to me is that I didn't feel hunger while fasting but the Lord kept me steady as if I ate as usual !

How do you fast properly? Didn‘t you eat anything at all? Did you fast for some hours a day? Did you drink water? I am Christian, but fasting doesn’t play a big part in the church in my country. Some people, like myself, fast in the 40 days before Easter, but it is just a „light“ fasting. Some people don’t drink alcohol, others don’t eat meat, I don’t eat sugar.

Modern perceptions of the meaning of many important words have changed quite even now in comparison to just two centuries ago with Webster’s original 1828 dictionary, which he compiled for the sole purpose of teaching common people to understand the meaning of words in the scriptures after the development of the printing press and the subsequent availability of the Holy Scriptures to all versus the very few before it’s development.
Just one example is the definition of the word authority. Today’s understanding of the word authority has more to do with the submission to power over the people versus the people recognizing for themselves the authority that they themselves recognized that naturally, or divinely, exists in others.
Our adversaries can most definitely not change the meaning of God’s Word but, over time, they have become successful in changing people’s perceptions of words that are in God’s Word. Study deeply for yourselves and do not rely upon the learning by rote or, simply learning from others. God’s Word is definitely much more powerful, and meant to be, than most of the mainstream churches would have us believe.

This is what I know to be true...What makes it so hard to fast intentionally is that we're constantly bombarded with ads telling us to eat "their" food product. We don't allow ourselves to feel hungry because we've been trained that way. Pray about that and then give it legs. Don't eat less, simply push your calories into a larger meal later. The practice is called intermittent fasting.
Pray without ceasing is often misunderstood. It's not saying to pray more, it's saying continue in your prayers. Don't let anyone guilt you because "you don't pray enough." Study the prayers of the Apostle Paul. You'll have an endless supply of things to pray about. 🙂

As well as setting my alarm for 3 time's a day to get on my knees in prayer.

I will continue using it in there. Fasting and praying shows GOD just how serious we are by being willing to fast, as an offering, and praying for our need. We still need to fast and pray.

The late Doc Marquis was a friend of mine and I remember he chastised me one night when I showed up with a brand new NIV Bible. Those that removed those books will receive their judgement as the bible says. You just read what you've been given. They will account to God.
You need to be careful about the apocrypha book, because those books don't have confirmation about divine origin. This is the reason why those books are separate. If you read it carefully, you can notice that some books are not in the line of the scriptures at all.
It also says however takes away from the Bible will have their name taken out of the Book of Life and whoever adds to it will have the plagues written of in the Bible added unto them!

I had a dream. I saw a picture of a close relative. It was the cover of a small thick book. The pages were full of smudges and torn pieces sticking out from the pages. It appeared to be a diary or journal of this relatives life. The thought of curses came to mind when looking at it. I wanted to pray for this person and the voice of the Lord said "you must pray in the Spirit". To me that meant speak in tongues. So i started to speak in tongues and felt the spirit take over. In my dream I could visually see the breath of the Holy Spirit blow away all of the smudges and tears through the pages. All of the pages were blown till they were clear and transparent. I felt that something wonderful happened in that dream for that person.

FACT CHECK: I have 'The Complete Jewish Bible' (both OT & NT) and 'The Didache (Catholic) Bible', and Matthew 17:21 is indeed missing from both of them. The verses run smoothly from 20 to 22 without pause. However, I also have an older King James Bible, and that verse, Matthew 17:21, is there. The presenter of this site is correct.

It would be more appropriate if the modern Bible stated, "This verse is attested to in the majority of manuscripts and is witnessed by many early authors, but we blindly follow the corrupt Alexandrian manuscripts which we will always claim to be the "best" and have therefore needlessly removed this verse."

I disagree completely. I was in a marriage going south. My wife walked out on me and my multiple disabled son. I still loved her. I prayed, putting my faith that God would mend the marriage and we'd be together again. I prayed for her and my son to be healthy and safe. Didn't happen. My wife died all alone in an apartment from a ruptured stomach aneurysm and five months later I lost my son due to a fatal accident. I can never truly believe the Bible anymore. I had the faith that Jesus preached about, but I guess God doesn't honor faith anymore.

In my Good News Bible, it has that verse that the bottom of the page, as a note saying that some mensprects don't included the verse. It also has a link to the verse in the book of Mark, of the same story that is in the book of Matthew that this verse is a part of in some mensprects. The verse in Mark, is Mark 9 vs 29.
The siniaticus and vaticanus manuscripts are allegedly the oldest, however there is evidence to suggest that they are not. TheNIV ans ESV are both based on these manuscripts. You mentioned that the KJV is based on a few manuscripts, however, I believe there are now over 5,000 manuscripts that validate the KJV.

In Matthew 17:21 Jesus was talking to disciples answering their question of why they couldn't cast out the demon in a person. The answer was that the problem was within them. The Cure was fasting with prayer enabled them and us to clearly believe without the distractions of this world with its beliefs, its ideas and it's religious doctrines of devils. It freed the disciples to then be able to free others.

Origen of Alexandria in the second century was a textual critic and manuscript copyist allegedly responsible for omitting verses that he considered were irrelevant. The Textus Receptus miraculously escaped his attention.
It was removed from some Bibles (but most leave it with a footnote) because it was not present in early manuscripts. It appears in Mark 9, but not in early manuscripts of Matthew. It is assumed that scribes decided to add it to Matthew’s text later on for continuity.

It was the first translation. And then I have a 1896 Dutch Bible and an Afrikaans family bible also original translation 1953. Must say, my dad was in his Bible all the time. Wherever we went, his Bible was the first item to be in our car..we never left home without it. Pages are yellow and very brittle, but I read it, daily. Absolute nonsense. The new translations dilute the Bible and the deity of Jesus Christ. I started reading KJV then went to ESV and come back again to KJV. KJV is the only complete Bible nothing taken away from the power of the word of God and nothing added to it and the only inspired translation by the Holy Ghost the rest are inspired by man's ego, a scholar wow, or by an untrue spirit. Stick to KJV and you'll soon realise what I mean.

My issue with kjv compared to nkjv is that kjv references easter which is based on the goddess eostre, where nkjv uses the word passover which is what Jesus observed.
It depends on what Easter means to you. Perhaps knowing it is referring to the Passover then make it mean that. One thing to note though is that one time when it was used was in Acts 12:4 which was after the resurrection and hence the Lord Jesus had already fulfilled the Passover.

I think stuff like this was practice for what theyre doing today with information.. I remember hearing this ages ago and some book store owner had a store called something to that effect (lion/wolf or lion/lamb) in New York i think and people were always calling them with the same question. I just started reading the Word seriously ten years ago but I grew up in church and lion lamb feels right.. wolf is used to refer to the devil a lot so it feels off but who knows.. I read consistently now though because I know a time of amos is coming where we will search for the Word and not be able to find it

I have this verse in my Bible. The Bible verses are left out by those that transfer information, and not of God. I have a listing I keep in my Bible of 16 verses that are in the King James Version of the Bible. I won’t read any version that has been altered or left out. God would never do that and it is cause for concern. These verses were written by those that were close to God. Be aware of what’s not there. It is a danger. The prospective you talk about is from man’s prospective and not Gods perspective! Be aware of people changing the Bible, there are NO changes made by God as to what is right or wrong.
There are several verses that are left out. This is just one of them.
1 John 5:7 is a huge one…the KJB says clearly the nature and witness of “the godhead” and the unity of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost…the modern “bibles” create a false verse 7 using part of 6 and part of 8…deceptive…the ancient witnesses of earlier Scriptures and in many languages support the reading in the KJB.
My thought has always been, if it's missing from some, how do we know that they were correct? We don't have any of the original manuscripts.

It’s in my 1611 old King James Bible. True that some verses are missing and have different meanings in newer Bibles. I’ve compared some of them.
KJV removed Enoch, Jasher, entire chapter from Esther.
Wrong it never included Enoch because the whole of Enoch has problems with authenticity and therefore not included in the cannon. However Jude and 2 Peter quote some of the writings. Not much though.

Also, check out Mark 9:29 and see that powerful action taken out. In that verse, many translations take out fasting.
KING JAMES IS THE ONLY VERSION WITH NO VARIATION FROM THE ORIGINAL TEXT. ANY OTHER VERSION CONTAINS DECEPTION.

No the king James has many changes done through Cern using the so called MANDELA EFFECT. They were able to effect every bible up until the year 1600 if i'm not mistaken. I have one with all the original writings its in Spanish version of a (1569 Casiodoro De Reina) copy. Don't let it bother you. While very important this video clearly explains why you shouldn't worry. The one I would really worry about is if there is a text written that deletes it or any other without foot notes or explanations.

Which version? My Bible is a KJV and 40 years old. It say lion and lamb.
Everyone should read the Pilgrim’s Bible. Not all books are considered inspired but it helps us understand the history of our faith. It’s the Geneva 1560 Bible. The Ethiopian Bible has over 100 books and it’s the same - many of the books are historical not inspired. They do help with understanding the Bible better.

Wow I didnt know this about the NIV. How DARE they take it out and just gave a tiny text below explaining that some manuscripts had it? It shud be done in the opposite way.. including it in the text and then explaining below that it was missing in some. They do not have the authority to take it out like that.
I never douted the authenticity of the verse when I read it missing from some. I believe wholeheartedly and was blessed. There were so many times I struggled so hard in spiritual warfare but later gained decisive victory due to fasting and the strength and abundant anointing it brought.
The NIV has been dubbed the NEARLY inspired version for many reasons.

It's not missing. What actually happened is some of the older manuscripts of the biblical text of the Bible that were found later than say the Geneva Bible or KJV were translated did not have those verses in them. So when you look at translations like the NIV, which was translated from older versions of the biblical text that were found more recently, it's not there, but a footnote tells you that some manuscripts do not have it. So one could argue that it possibly could have been added later.
Do you think older vs younger manuscripts means legit vs not legit or is there more to it than just that😂
@downbythesea1071 I think what really matters is how much do you trust that the Lord is still in control no matter what and by that having faith in the word that you were given. 2 Thessalonians chapter 2 verses 9 through 12 sums it up very well. For those who are perishing, God will send them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness. Is that good enough for you troll?

And the proof is out there, if you look at it yourself, you can see that I'm not full of beans. I'm not here to play that childish, my Bible is better than yours game like so many of you people like to play. I just stated facts, and it's really just that simple. Don't get upset with me for speaking the truth. If it wasn't, I wouldn't have said it because I most certainly have better things to do with my life than just spreading a bunch of lies for no good reason
