    Thank you so much for this tutorial which without doubt is the best I have encountered anywhere online. purchased my MPC X around he time of its initial launch, however due to ill health to a break from making music. When I resumed using the MPC X it was like facing an alien. You certainly have presented a well narrated and competent tutorial which has revived and greatly enhanced my usage of this beast. Well done and again thank you for taking time to put this together it has certainly hit all the right spots and more. Do keep up the good work !!!!!

    Sir, you teach so well I think you must have a degree in it. Finally, someone who know how to teach without wasting time. I have been using MPCs since the MPC 60 came out! Yup, I’m old, 60 in fact. If you’re just learning the MPC workflow, this is your instructor right here. Kudos!

    Great tutorial/instructional video. Extremely informative and in depth. Looking forward to part 2 which I hope goes into the same detail for sampling (bpm detect, warping, time stretch,etc)

      Good looking out for pointing me in the right direction with your videos and sending me the hyperlink for the 3 hour video tutorial. I have so many songs in my head but because of my ignorance as well as my inability to operate my equipment properly. I just couldn't write my music. There are so many videos out there that give wrong information or difficult to understand, it made it impossible for me to write music. But I am now, so thank you.

    Thanks for doing this video is there a way to lock the Qlink knobs to volume for each track so no matter what screen I am viewing I can always control volume for the tracks? I have the one now and might upgrade to the x if I could have more top level hands on control of volume and muting with the extra q link knobs,

    With the RCA line inputs...can I input a digital radio to sample from that source? Or is it analog only...

    • @roccothamanoidis
      @roccothamanoidis 3 роки тому

      If your radio outputs analog audio, sure you can sample from that. But you should use Input 3-4 with quarter inch for LINE levels set switch to LINE, OR use the RCA inputs with the switch set to phono. The video was not exact with its explanation there.

    I've been making beats for only a couple of years and I use maschine. So I'm not sure if this a silly question but why anyone use the 16 levels feature u talk about at 22:36 ?

    • @gedista
      @gedista 3 роки тому +2

      You can use 16 level to give life to your drums , mainly (but not only) your hihats giving more realistic sound. Also there is a Classic boom bap technique that hip hop producers use since 1990 and still do and just sound amazing. Here is a video link of the explanation of this technique. I am also using maschine for 4 years and i am about to buy MPC X. But maschine also has this feature. Hope that's helpfull

    Is this mainly intended for hiphop producers or would it shine in an electronic music studio (analog modular synths)-would this be a good sequencer for a Eurorack?
