I say this many times, but I'll say it again. Baltimore and WJZ are just not the same without Jerry Turner and Al Sanders. RIP Jerry and Al, and Godspeed. Your legacy and memories at 'JZ will NEVER be forgotten.

Absolutely! So miss those men. Wow how JZ dominated. Today Bob Turk has just gotten too old, though I still love him but obviously time hasn’t been kind.

I was 15 when this aired. I wish I could wake up from this bad dream I’m in now, it’s called old age.

I got chills as this flashback transported me thru a time machine. Whoa, the memories 😊 I remember when Al Sanders was diagnosed with lung cancer. He was a heavy smoker. He used to bring his 2 sons to the Mall in Columbia and visit our Popeyes location..lol.😂

This was real reporting back in the day, and not that politically motivated bullshit that we get today in 2024! This was straight business and all I can with old reporting 1995 on back.

The Orioles won 100 games in 1980 and didn’t make the playoffs. MLB should’ve been changed their playoff format when you have team win that many games and sit at home

The germa man seen on the podums at the Olympics with Jesse Owens, they became friends. He wrote a letter from the war, asking Jesse to ert his sin after this terrible war, and tell him all about our friendship, and he did keep that promise even recreating the famous pucture, but with his son, if sports could bring together Nazi and a black man, let's pray there is still hope for our world
