What a pity it was just a five speed gearbox. A 6 speed as my former Smart would have been working great ( for highways commuting).Put this lacking apart the 3rd series was way better on most respects,as for my personal ownership.
I have a 2008 smart car...bought it for $4500 two years ago with 69k miles on it has 141k on it now basically drives the same but with minor air conditioner issues...can still go 90mph
@@INDIGOBLUE555 yup feels like the engine/transmission are trouble free for 250k miles with just synthetic oil changes every 10-12k miles . And I love the orange bucket seats super comfy
@@michaelsuzio4364 I also was fond of my lovely Smart cars ! Owned three,all of them preowned,picked up at the Mercedes Concessionaire in my town. Never had serious issues. My best loved was a total black Pulse 2 nd series with a customized burgundy full leather interior and burgundy carpets as well...A pussy magnet at some extent...Yes it really was :-)

sieht aus wie einer mit Software Optimierung, die fahren dann bis Tacho Ende laut GPS gemessen 165 - 170 (mein MHD). 130 langt aber in dem Smart, fährt sich richtig gut finde ich, ok ist kein GT3 :-) racer soviel ist klar aber der Spaßfaktor ist trotzdem hoch bei dem Smart

its a mitsubishi derived 3b2 1 liter 3 cylinder in the states but the MHD version in europe may be a tad different.

Meiner 451 mit 71ps fährt laut tacho auch 160kmh was es nun aber real ist 🤷♂️keine ahnung

My 84hp doesn't want to keep it straight at top speed... I really have to handle the steering wheel well to keep it in line!
only with to much windy you have to be careful with the wheel. ok, the wheelbase is short for shure on this car.
The pro of having this car is that almost anybody can drive it at top speed with nary a speeding ticket.

Hab den selben aber meiner geht nicht so ab und max Geschwindigkeit ist 145🤔
Läuft praktisch genauso schnell wie der mit 71 PS... Software würde ich sagen...
