Jess Long, strong as ever, strikes gold again to finish 5th Paralympics with 29th career medals | NBC Sports - Спорт
For those wondering about the classification:
S8 - swimmers with coordination affected to a low level, movement moderately affected in the legs, the use of one arm only, or the absence of limbs.
Swimmers in this class are at almost full capacity but lack all-round muscle power.
Thank you for your explanation. It is so helpful to those of us watching in awe of the skills and competitiveness of these remarkable athletes.
She is the Michael Phelps of the Paralympics
and she won one more medal than he did with his career count of 28. Legendary. She's had a _long_ career as a Paralympian, and she continues to wow the audience. Her talent knows no bounds. An athlete worthy of her title as Queen. But kudos to the Russian who managed to catch up to Long with only one arm.
I can't begin to imagine how proud her parents must be. 2021 Olympics Toyota commercial was so true, "It will be amazing."
WOW THEY DID'NT EVEN MENTION THE GIRL WITH 1 ARM THAT GOT SILVER....GUYS 1 ARM UNBEILVEABLE!!!
They have swimmers with only legs as well
@@jazming2502 lol You think I don't know that? did you even understand what I said??? My point being was the announcers did not even mention the silver medal winner swam with one arm that was amazing!!!
@@roybal1975 why should it be mentioned? Everyone there had some kind of physically disability. The woman who won had bad legs while the woman with one arm had amazing legs. It was really a race of arms versus legs.
@@jazming2502 FIRST OF ALL YOU TRY SWIMMING WITH ONE ARM 4 LAPS OF THE POOL YOU FOOL LOL I CAN'T EVEN FATHOM DOING THAT. SO THATS WHY THEY SHOULD HAVE MENTIONED IT!!! NO NEED TO THROW YOUR PETTY 2 CENTS IN TO TRY AND PROVE A POINT...
These Paralympians are unbelievable
The only other swimmer to win the same event (200m IM) in four Olympic Games is Michael Phelps - Jessica Long is simply spectacular!
Now she has more medals than MP
Wow ! Your the best jesica long congrats 🎉🎊
Love her how amazing she is....we watched her story and this inspired us to get off our backsides and do something. As retirees we manage three miles in a treadmill...but we dig deep. She is one of our inspirations. Love to all.
These women have incredible heart ❤️
All of these athletes deserve recognition. Swimming the butterfly is hard enough...but doing it without legs or the other girl with only one arm...is such an amazing feat!!
I bet they also swim faster than most able people can ever!
The second place was a 12yr old with one arm, incredible
Awesome race. I am also very surprised at how fast the RPC swimmer next to her went with just ONE arm to claim the silver!
JESS LONG WAS OUTSTANDING.
"It might not be easy, but it will be amazing" Your Mom got it right, you are definitely amazing, Jessica!
Interestingly (at least I think so) is that her husband’s last name is Winters, so her name is Jessica Long-Winters (if she chooses to hyphenate). Is there a better last name for a woman born in Siberia?
Jessica's life has been full of coincidences. Like her favorite childhood movie was Anastasia and her biological little sister's name is; you guessed it, Anastasia.
Congrats to each and everyone of them! Great job!
Amazing golden girl!
It might not be easy... but it will be amazing.
I'm impressed by the one armed RPC swimmer.
Exactly.
Wow me too that was so impressive. You can do just about anything you put your mind to
no idea how she does it to keep up with Long and leave the rest of the two arm swimmers behind!
Great job Jessica!!!
Yes❤️❤️🔥🔥🇱🇷💯
You Rock congratulations
Congratulations to her
What a lady, so much humanity, so much grit, so much talent, so much talent. Congratulations. You make us, USA proud.

Her family is so used to this lol
Now Jessica Long has more Paralympic medals (29) than Michael Phelps has Olympic medals (28)
USA USA USA 👍GOOD JOB JESSICA
¡Cuatro de las nuestras!
0:21...Jessica's back...holy crap...she can spread her lats without even trying. Impressive stuff!
Her Parents: "Woo, good job" -they are used to the badassery of daughter!!!
So awesome! Glory to the Lord!!
Wow! Greatness shown by everybody
Imagine if she had legs.. sheeesh!! Fantastic win, made us all proud I'm sure
She clearly is perfectly fine as you can see
@@FAH_FITNESS I never said she wasn't doc! I was complementing on her speed without having feet! Didn't teach you irony in med school I see,, didn't mean anything by it
Its 16 gold not 15,
Butterfly without feet must be tough
Its tough even with feet, i call my butterfly stroke a controlled drowning 🤣
🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Nice job, American swimmer.
Holy Pool! 15 Golds' 29 medals total; Michael Phelps beat that, just kidding, the GOAT of swimming.
It should be 16 gold, she had 13 before this olympics and this is her 3rd ,should be 4th but was dq in the 4x100 free relay
Bro do you know how heavy your legs are lmao of course she gonna win she is the lowest weight
