please understand even with my soft hair I would have hair hats coming at me talking about some I will look so much better with a 55-in weave now mind you these same bald headed no edges fat chicks when they take they wigs off or they weaves down for new install and come to work with a scarf on have traction alopecia absolutely no hair at all but you want to tell me what to do 😶whatever it is you doing🤔 I'm not going to do how about that...
@@wildwaymonee8o8 it be the loudest ones gurl😂😂 for me the only reason I wear weaves is bc I shaved my hair off recently so it can regrow bc it was severely damaged from relaxers when I was younger so I stopped wearing it out as much bc it was uneven and dry and my scalp was scabbed and bleeding so I just stuck to protective styles but since my hair is too short for braids and faux locks and all that I now just stick to wigs
@@Im_Zion .. I understand what you can do is try black castor oil I know it sounds old school but it works... the black castor oil will clear up the scabs in your scalp and stop the bleeding... next thing you know you got all this new growth
This is why I don't follow natural hair pages. They claim to embrace all hair textures but the majority of hair posted doesn't reflect what I see on a daily, and their communities are so toxic.
There used to be a sister with a 4c hair care channel called Nappy Fu TV. There is no point in watching natural hair channel if the natural hair isn’t similar to one’s own. I wouldn’t watch a natural ringlet curl hair channel bec my hair isn’t like that. I’m not saying you did. But Nappy Fu TV 📺 was a 4c natural hair channel.
Natural hair community be toxic for no reason. Her hair isn’t “curly” enough. Or too “nappy”. But if she got a relaxer??? They would’ve been up in flames!
Mayowa straight up made me go from covering my hair with wigs and turbants because I didn't feel comfortable showing my hair in zoom meetings to wearing my natural hair out without givinga f*ck. She is a gem that need s to be protected❤
I just loc’d my hair in February and just found her yesterday and she is a HUGE encouragement for me in my “awkward” phase. I love my hair and my hair LOVES being loc’d!
Black people have been conditioned for CENTURIES to think that our skin, our hair, our bodies, our features and our overall existence is disgusting and ape-like. We will be met with resistance for embracing ourselves, but we, YOU can’t stop posting & uplifting black people & other people of color. You make people feel comfortable with themselves and not shameful for the way we were born. Thank you & stay up Mayowa☺️👏🏽👸🏽
The internet is so hypocritical, if your a black woman and get relaxer you apparently "don’t love your self", and if you rock your natural hair you look "unkept and dirty" wtf???? They tell people to be confident and rock their natural selves but then drag them when it doesn’t fit there beauty standards
That's exactly what has been bothering me so much. Like goddamn just let people have their hair however they like and do with it what they want! It's their hair and not yours! I don't understand how that's so hard to understand.
the problem however is that this isn't even the issue.. if you are curvy you are too fat.. if you are skinny you are immideately thrown things like oh you must be anorexic! eat some more! like no what ?
BOOM!! Thank you!! I felt this way when the whole “wet look” wash and go for 4C was a trend. I was like why would I think my 4C hair will do this? And why will I use a million and one products to try to make my hair look like it’s 2b🙄🙄😐😑
Well she said she’s African so it’s mean to be a little different from us who aren’t primarily African descent. That hair grade shit is some white washed trash anyway I still ain’t found my hair style lmao😂
@cigar, I think that being trolled to trigger. Crazy right. It happens, however it opens my eyes to issues I never thought about...You sound like cool person. Be safe out here!🥰
Because as a community, we get separated and separate ourselves by class, color, gender, sexuality, and beauty standards. And not realizing we have fallen into the division trap and doing WS’s work for them.
hearing how they called you ugly for "unkept" hair on an UPLIFTING NATURAL HAIR page actually made me lose braincells how can people be so ignorant and toxic. I am so sorry you had to go through that, you do NOT deserve that. You are so beautiful, ALL of you!!
“If your entire page is a ‘natural hair’ page and you put a picture of me with my natural hair and get so much hate, that literally proves that your page isn’t for people who have natural hair. Your page is for people who have acceptable black hair texture that society wants to see.” #micdropmoment 💯
I can’t stand the natural hair community now. It was started by mostly 4c woman years before Twitter and Instagram. Mainstream took over and RUINED it 😡. Sorry this happened to you
Girl...this "community" was before 4c hair and before instagram and twitter. You're really new to the game. Lol. I went natural before then and there was a community before then and we were on forums and fotki and most people did not claim to even have 4c hair.
Also 4c girls are like a cult, 4b hair girls like me don’t even fit in. Edit: I commented before I watch the video, I’m sorry that happened to you before are disgusting.
I am 57 years old and this is not new. I am so sick of this ignorant bullshit black folks do to other black folks. I am sorry this happened to you but your video shows your strength and intelligence and your will to bounce back and defend yourself and all of us who have happy hair. Your voice is a power keg! Important.
Facts I’m in my mid 30s and ppl have been putting mixed folks on a pedestal ever since I can remember it seems it’s getting worst idk if it’s because of social media …..?
It's honestly disgusting how quick people are to attack women for being their authentic selves. Colourism is incredibly destructive. It's beautiful to see you call out and educate people on social issues.
When you call every tan person under the sun 'black' and every hair texture that's not bone straight 'natural', you get ppl who forget what the average West African's hair looks like
I think this is a really shitty take on what Blackness is and what the natural hair movement is. Blackness as a racial concept is ruling in the history of white supremacy and so it is tethered to the existence of descendants of slaves throughout the Western Hemisphere, many of whom are not purely racially "100% African". Throughout my life I have had multiple interactions with people from the Caribbean and Africa who have told me that they are "not black" and that they are *insert name of their home country* so even they themselves are tethering Blackness to white supremacy and its history in the United States of America. only more recently have you started to see mass numbers of Black people from the Caribbean and Africa self-identifying as "Black". I'm only 29 and I remember growing up around African kids who simply did not identify as being "Black". That alone dismantles your argument. The same with natural hair. This was a movement started by Black American women, many of whom do not have 4C texture hair. We can definitely talk about texturism and how all hair textures need to be embraced but what's not going to happen is you are not going to create a new standard of beauty that is rooted in elitist beliefs about racial purity... We've already dealt with that with white supremacy
“She doesn’t have 4c hair; she has locs” 😭😭😭 THE FACE you made after telling us about that comment. I’m DEAD over here. HOW DO YOU THINK I GOT THE LOCS??? ⚰️⚰️⚰️⚰️⚰️
As a white Irish woman this makes me incredibly sad that you are being shaded for being the exact natural hair type that they exist to promote. Keep being your authentic beautiful self with your integrity and dont take no shit from any bitch. Much love xx
i cannot IMAGINE waking up to my own selfie being posted online with the caption "thoughts?" in any context ahhhh that is nightmare fuel. there is no reason they shouldve ever done that.
The fact that the page says BLM too... like you can’t only care about the light skin black lives or the black lives with laid edges and clean cut locs... 🤦🏽♀️
“She doesn’t have 4c hair, she has locs” literally took me out 😫😫😫😫 babe fuck them. You’re beautiful inside and out from head to toe. You’re genetics are blesseddddd!!! Let the lost stay stranded.
Can someone KINDLY educate me? Because I thought that her hair is in free form locs. It is beautiful but it is in locs no? And locs texture isn’t the same as loose hair.
@@caroll9698 Her natural texture is 4c but it is in locs. If she takes out the locs it's still going to be 4c. If I take out my locs, I'm still going to be 4a. Your hair is locked within itself but its doesn't change your texture like a relaxer does.
Chyle the melanin is too intimidating to them. You're beautiful be proud of who you are. People will not always accept you or your style, but it's your own. Peace and light
They love their palatable 'natural' hair but the moment it gets too real they show their true colors you are literally so beautiful your energy is so warming, I recently began my loc journey and its truely teaching me to let go off colorist/texturist beauty standards, (I have 4b/4c hair)
One of my subbies just shared this video with me, the fact that you have to endure such ignorance is unacceptable. 4C hair is THE most versatile hair pattern, and I’m so over people’s close-minded narratives they try to push on everyone, shouting their prejudices from the rooftops like it’s acceptable. Your hair, skin, features are all gorgeous. Thank you for sharing your experience 💚
Am sorry to say this but some stylist are the worst. On Instagram there are many saying that 4c hair that can't wash and go is unhydrated hair. When in actuality the coils are so small it's hard to see. I don't know why some of these stylist are obsessed with making these coils as visible as possible.
That's absolutely disgusting. Your hair is gorgeous, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Also: I love the shells, that is such a cute look, it gives me sea godess vibes :)
agreed . I'm one of those soft hair people and have had people literally walk up to me and say.. I wish I could go natural like you . but you know.. you got good hair . so it's easier for you🤯😭.. I'm like you know what your wrong... u gotta learn to love YOURSELF first Sis.. I don't subscribe to the nonsense from white washed blacks😶🤨
@@wildwaymonee8o8 literally. I’m a 3c 3b mix and I never fail to get comments FROM OTHER BLACK PEOPLE saying “oh if I had your texture I would have went natural too” or “you lucky you got good hair” “your hair is easy to do cause it’s pretty” “you got mixed girl hair”. Mind you I’m brownskin and not mixed or even mixed looking. And don’t even get me started on the “are you mixed” comments. Seriously, we need to do better.
The type of people who drag you are the ones who are the most insecure in their own skin. They can't feel good about themselves and so they attack others and try to transfer their own insecurities to others. You're beautiful inside and *OUT* !! God Bless you!
Their page is gone. Thank goodness. Natural hair shouldn’t be controversial. All these people run around talking about how “God is good all the time” and “God is greater” and “God don’t make mistakes” -- except for natural hair?! WTF. To hell with all of them.
I've been saying this!!! They be walking around with their hair all kinds of fucked up and nobody says a word, but the minute a black girl's hair is not 'on point', all hell breaks loose. I'm tired of it.
I am european and I agree lol There really are no places to see all types of coily hair presented in it's natural state without a ton of products, styling etc and channels like these have really taught me a lot about coily hair, especially 4c hair and it's always interesting to learn about others. I also think that hair in its natural state in the overall curly community isn't really represented as hair influencers always do a ton of prep before taking just one photo. I have wavy hair that is a mix of all 2's and it's like people make it seem like I damaged my hair (I use no dye, no heat) and that's why my texture isn't even through my whole hair. I mostly wear it loose with no styling and I think all hair is the most beautiful in that way. Nobody has the right judge the hair of anybody else as it's completely fine to not have stylized hair 24/7, especially for a normal person just going through their day. Sorry for such a long reply, but I felt the need to share 😅
This is so sad that we are still attacking our own. We are passing down the hate toward dark skin sisters and brothers that was taught to us during slavery. We still have a long way to go. 😢
Can u just stop. Her hair is matting. Foaming locs break ur hair. If a white person didnt comb their hair people would say it looks unkempted and dirty. Our hair was made to be sculpted and styled !

I’m a Slavic white woman and I adore your hair. I adore my own. I adore everyone’s. And everyone’s complexion. No matter deep or how pale, everyone is stunning and nobody truly is better than another. And the first time I saw you come up in my YT recommended I watched your video and I thought you were absolutely gorgeous. Not because you are black, and you’re not less beautiful because you’re black or dark skinned either. You’re just a beautiful person period. And I love your hair and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with it. Its perfect the way it is. Just like mine. And the next persons. And I support you 100%. And I’m sorry they did that to you. That is not right nor fair to you and you don’t deserve any of it. I am sure it’s extremely overwhelming. But you’ve got this. We are all here to support you.
Her client's 4C hair is BLONDE and probably STRAIGHTENED REGULARLY, which loosens the curl pattern. That stylist conveniently neglected to consider that though.
I’m not black, but I feel like I have a regular level of common sense to agree and think for myself exactly what is being said in this video. So call me out if I’m wrong, but why the heck would a stylist especially say you have “bad hair” if it can’t turn into this white hairstyle. If you don’t have naturally straight hair, you don’t need to HAVE straight to be considered “good”. It just sounds so dumb and forcing the same white standards without directly saying those words.
To add to your question why must our hair always have to the closest it can be to Eurocentric beauty standards? Our hair is made different and beautiful
Fr it's so sad like, although I don't have 4C hair my natural hair experience is a lot different from yours, sometimes I be like why am I sitting in front of the mirror to get "defined curls" or "taming the frizz" like why it's so exhausting I have cried abt it sm times why can't we let our hairs be the way it is? And if people want to style it, they can :(
Unkept is good-but I think dry is a health issue. Our hair needs good hydration that penetrates the pores...unkept and moistures is better. We don’t have to slay
This comment reminds me of the advertisement that everyone lost their freaking minds over a little while back. From what I remember it was an ad for children's pajamas and ever single (white) child had messy, unkempt hair. But the one little black girl who had her hair in a loose bun and her edges not laid was torn apart by some member of the natural hair community. Like they had absolutely no problem with the white kids hair, but the black girls unstyled hair was just "such an awful representation of black hair". Like black women are never allowed to not have super styled hair and god forbid a literal child who is about to go to bed not have perfectly laid edges
Basically, the “natural hair community” is still based on European beauty standards and expectations. For example, most Black folks hair grows up and outwards. Most White folks (and other people with similar hair types) grows downwards. We still base growth, styling, and length on European hair types.
I'm just a white lady who doesn't know anything about black hair, but you're really lovely and your hair looks great and F anyone who tells you different!

Exactly I see black women praising loose curls and “type 4a and 4b” and it’s sad when they wanna call kinkier hair knappy and ugly because it doesn’t “curl” like you guys want to yell all black hair beautiful then it’s black on black crime once you behind closed doors
I've also noticed how xenophobic black Americans are towards other black people of another ethnicity, mostly if your from Africa and have very strong Afrocentric features. We're all black and we all go through the same struggle shaming other black people just because they arent american is only going to create more division. We already have division in our community with the light skin vs brown skin vs dark skin, so lets solve problems instead of creating more. fixing what's going on in our community will solve 75 of our problems

@@peaceispossible80 I agree. @@peaceispossible80 Jeez. I can't imagine what that's like. It's depressing that anyone would feel like that's okay--regardless of their age. But yeah, you said it--the history definitely explains without excusing. I think a lot of people often get those two concepts mixed up.
Thanks so much for sharing this. You really opened my eyes to how dark-skinned women with kinky hair are written out of blackness. And yet our focus is only on light-skinned people and white passing people who are written out of Blackness.

It sucks because 4c hair is rarely included in the “celebration” of natural hair. I always feel good when people compliment my hair because that’s a rarity. They say “nappy” like it’s a bad thing. I love my hair tho. I’m so sorry you had to go through this. Then again, f*ck them.
Your hair is healthy and that's beautiful for me. Teaching my 6 year old niece to love her hair because my natural hair is 4b and her's is 4c. My sister has sister locs so we're all different.
I feel you. You are beautiful. I have had push back from my fellow Ghanaians about my hair which is loose 4c hair. They want me to "protective style AKA add extensions, wear weaves or wigs". Weird thing is they have natural hair too. So my conclusion is they don't really love their hair and they wanna project that to me. Its so annoying cos I'm like bro God gave you your own hair so don't fuss about mine when it has nothing to do with yours.
This is too real. I get treated differently when I have a wash n go/ finger coils, aka the "acaptable" hair vs. My type 4 afro. Have had my hair teased terriblely mostly if not all by black women, being told that my hair was better off being permed, or "why doesn't your hair curl?" or "it looks like a big mess." Whenever I wore my type 4 afro or "you need to lay your edges" . I notice that black women, mostly young girls see other black girls as competition especially with hair.
I'm Nigerian/ Congolese...born in the US, I actually had to research beautiful ancient styles to go back to those styles as I've seen in my family's countries due to so many switching over to straight weaves and such. Our different hair fabrics make it easier to create any style imaginable...male or female and I love it. People are seriously lost today.
The other day another black woman called me “sis” and it actually made me cry because I’ve been sooo shunned for not being the “right kind” of black girl , that to be accepted by someone was so shocking and meaningful to me . Idk, I just randomly wanted to share that to say - Please be kind to each other 💕
Same. Being isolated for "talking white" always made me feel like I didn't fit anywhere. I was too white for my black brothers and sisters and too black for white people so whenever I get called sis by anyone outside of family it makes me feel so included. The first time someone called me sis I cried.
@@princessk2822 my experience is basically parallel to yours , coupled with colorism issues (I’m lighter skinned & Biracial). A lot of not “being black enough” to be accepted by other black women who somehow were “black enough” ( whether that be because of skin color or differences in the way we talked , dressed , or identified with mainstream cultures ). Whenever another black woman is friendly to me , sisterly to me, and wants to include me , it moves me so much . We need to make sure that we’re nurturing each other as black women, not looking for ways to tear each other down 💕

You know this already but you are beautiful, your hair is beautiful, KEEP ON SHINING. ❤️
They dragged you because you read them for filth. By dragging you, they exposed their own internal hatred for real 4c hair, and projected that on to you. I have 4c hair like yours and one Natural hair influencer in these social media streets with the "wavy 4c hair" told me that my hair isn't 4c, it is dry after I enquired about her "wavy 4c hair." I was appalled because if it was, it would break and lack lustre, but it doesn't. She went on how 4c hair is different, there is porosity and yada yada. The porosity has nothing to do with the texture which is what the argument was about. You did a slide where you called light skinned women who write in colorism. I feel that these 3c -4a influencers are doing the same thing when it comes to natural hair. A South African hair influencer who has been in the natural hair game for a long time also called them out on how they still cater to the Eurocentric gaze because they hardly sell the kink and coil. I mean, it's amazing that you can silk press your natural hair and create waves or any other manipulation, but the truth is in the long-term, it does damage your hair and thins it. She posted herself wearing an elegant gown with her kinky afro and wrote on why she believes kink can be elegant and how natural hair influencers lie about the time and methods it took to grow their hair. She was right because how can you grow 4c hair to back length in 18 months without protective styles and your hair was not even reaching your neck? This is why I started freeforming. With freeforming, there are no rushed expectations, there is no manual for rapid hair growth, but you know your hair is growing. I stopped chasing the huge afro look because watching these people made me feel more insecure than I thought and self-conscious. You are so beautiful and smart and I'm happy with your content. Keep calling out for their filth. They are so stuuuuuupiiiiid!!
I'm tired of people saying that if your hair looks really kinky that it's dry or we're not taking care of it. As annoying as shrinkage is, there's nothing wrong with it, it's not ugly. We are too obsessed with defining and curls and trying to make it look different and too observant with length.
@gensai93 Right?! It is so annoying how these NHIs try to convince us that our hair is dry or it is not being taken care of. They are so obsessed with length than they are with growth. Real growth. These length checks annoy me. Like who, with 4c hair, does length checks? Eeuw.
@@gensai93 Fr once I argued with a girl on the internet because she was insulting another girl just because her edges were bad... Like, really ? It's crazy.
Agree 100%. Especially about people lying about growing hair so fast to certain lengths. I know we all grow hair at different rates but sometimes you can tell it's all made up.
Omg!!! I’m so sorry that happened to you. You are speaking straight up facts! I always said if you have like REAL 4c hair you getting picked last. There’s level to this. Wavy or curly hair is always gonna take first priority. In order for 4c hair to get some shine it has to be waist length and blown out. Definitely can’t be short.

I have wavy hair that is a mix of all 2's and it's like people make it seem like I damaged my hair (I use no dye, no heat) and that's why my texture isn't even through my whole hair. ok that part yes. I just want to be me.

@@grassfedcharlie Read this comment, though it was creepy... but you aren't wrong. I agree lol
Just came across this channel, and yes she's very beautiful! This *hair typing* system is just another way to keep black folk fighting and apart! It really pisses me off🤦🏽♀️
At any rate, no matter the *complexion* or *hair texture* of the *BW* we're *ALL BEAUTIFUL and UNIQUE!* ✊🏽🙂
*ALL*
I just checked the IG page, they removed all their pics, seems she can't stand the heat, pages like that are a disgrace!
we all as conscious black women need to fight this for the freedom of our people. dont just say im glad you exist so that you have to go through this. Lets stop with the eurocentric standards
The black community is so exhausting and embarrassing sometimes. You don’t see other communities putting down there women and hair.
Right, even if their hair is thin and ugly
@@peaceispossible80 I agree. I feel like this is an important comment--it's not that these people inherently want to put us down, the internal and external hate/misunderstanding/fear, etc. has just been cultivated over generations. Most other communities don't have the same level of oppression or struggle that ours does. I'm not giving the ones who are misguided an excuse--I'm just saying I know why the community is like this.
@@peaceispossible80 Jeez. I can't imagine what that's like. It's depressing that anyone would feel like that's okay--regardless of their age. One has to wonder what they have gone through to be that way, too, you know? I have curlier kinky hair (I guess some 4a and mostly 4b if I were to type it) that gets the ever so insulting "I love your hair--what are you mixed with?". And, like you said--I don't get mad. It's just disappointing. Sometimes I make an effort to educate and enlighten, but I'm truly just tired.~_~
It's like the community has the essence of a dog chasing its tail.
But yeah, you said it--the history definitely explains without excusing. I think a lot of people often get those two concepts mixed up.
@@peaceispossible80 they were intrigued
We have internalized antiblackness
Thanks so much for sharing this. You really opened my eyes to how dark-skinned women with kinky hair are written out of blackness. And yet our focus is only on light-skinned people and white passing people who are written out of Blackness.
I love the way you express yourself, you’re very articulate. It breaks my heart that you had to experience this. Literally within the first seconds of watching your video I thought “wow your hair looks beautiful!” Even having the shells(?) on your ends shows that you are creative and authentic! I need to find some time to watch your other content because I’m thirsty to learn more about my own culture. I hope you were able to find some peace from sharing this publicly and knowing that you have people who support you and appreciate you just the way you are ❤️❤️
Don't say articulate. It doesn't come across as a compliment. White people would say that about black people like they didn't expect them to be able to articulate.
@@jasminebrown8651 Maybe you should also refrain from telling others how to express themselves and their own thoughts on the internet when you don’t know them and it wasn’t a trolling comment
I was just informing an ignorant person
I’m so sorry you have to endure this, you and your hair are beautiful. Sending all the love 💙
Never expected to see an Ellbat comment here but I’m happy I did!
My appreciation for Ellbat 📈

As a black woman I gotta say I'm not surprised
Though I did not relax my hair I gotta tell u that the natural hair movement is tOXIC
I'm white. I have no idea how I got there. But this was very educational. Thank you
But the natural hair community will be up and arms and will say "self hate" to black women who relaxed their hair. Oh, the hypocrisy.🤣
Exactly
At the end of the day it’s your choice if u want wear hair crack nobody can’t stop u .
@@PrincessYonna1 I don't wear relaxers. I'm calling the hypocrisy of the natural hair community.
@@PrincessYonna1 and I guess nobody can't stop ya from being a hypocrite huh 🤷🏽♀️
@@khaliyahliyah6444 It's still the creamy crack, though.
It sucks because 4c hair is rarely included in the “celebration” of natural hair. I always feel good when people compliment my hair because that’s a rarity. They say “nappy” like it’s a bad thing. I love my hair tho. I’m so sorry you had to go through this. Then again, f*ck them.
I usually only get bad comments from people I my own race
@@dawnrosewood7060 unfortunately, that’s true.
My mom is constantly calling my hair nappy and trying to convince me to perm my hair like girl-🧍♀️
@@jjxrden definitely not. We don’t need the chemicals in our hair
@@jessmcmxci5769 Right, and after getting my hair permed at like 9 and having damaged hair still to this day, I’ll pass lol
Natural community: Love your natural hair ✊🤩
Actual natural hair:
Natural Community: No, not like that!🤨😒
really tired of people acting like black women only come in the form of mixed with big coils. Its women like you that truly empower us black women.
Idk, I just randomly wanted to share that to say - Please be kind to each other 💕
Wow! Can I ask about your experience with that?
Please share your experience if your comfortable. It might help someone who’s going through the same thing.
Same. Being isolated for "talking white" always made me feel like I didn't fit anywhere. I was too white for my black brothers and sisters and too black for white people so whenever I get called sis by anyone outside of family it makes me feel so included. The first time someone called me sis I cried.
I understand that completely.
We need to make sure that we’re nurturing each other as black women, not looking for ways to tear each other down 💕
People on twitter are MISERABLE. Please don't feed into that because theres no right answer for shxt on that bird ass app... Don't cry, you're so beautiful, don't let ANY of that get to you.
Reason why I don't use Twitter, although I have it. I have never liked how dramatic and nasty people get there.
Bird ass app🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂
This literally brought me to tears. You are a beautiful woman! Like genuinely gorgeous!! Stunning features and awesome natural hair! I learned a lot from this video and subscribed to learn more. Your message is beautiful just like you! ❤️
This is some clown world ish… this is why blackness deserves to be gatekept, and I’m saying this as a biracial person. It’s not right. Reminds me of “blackness comes in all shades!” I guess to them, “4C hair comes in all hair textures!” That’s what it sounds like!!
"If your page is a natural hair page & you put a picture of me, with my hair & it gets so much hate -that literally proves that your page isn't for people who have natural hair. Your page is for people who have acceptable black hair textures that society wants to see." This is SO real, thank you for calling it out. The natural hair 'community' is so damn toxic. You know this already but you are beautiful, your hair is beautiful, KEEP ON SHINING. ❤️
I literally read this comment the moment she said this in the video
YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL 💚💚
When I first big chopped my hair my whole family called me black Annie. You are beautiful! I love your channel, I’m always sending your videos to my friends and family ❤️
I feel for you girl. I have clump forming , coarse and very dry 4c hair with zero coils/curls and there isn't enough representation for us. I search for 4c and I see curls/coils all over the internet. Really breaks my heart.
If u were a white or light skin woman with locs and ur photo was posted on that page, the comments wouldn’t be as close to what u received.

I find it ironic that the reason I came here is because I noticed your hair and was like: damn, they have nice hair and they look beautiful :o
I genuinely thought that you got dragged down because you are hair stylist and someone said you did a poor job or something, I just can't believe all of this happened. There is still so much I have yet to learn about but I'm glad I came across your video, I have a feeling I'll stay around for longer c:

You make me feel so happy. You are my favorite creator on UA-cam. I appreciate you. I watch your videos on repeat and on break to help me feel safe in my mind. You have helped me soo much.
"that shit made me cry" :( I hate that so much. The cyberbullying that social media has made possible is awful.
People don’t realize that when they’re teasing someone on social media they’re teasing an actual PERSON. The disconnect between social media and real life is disgusting and dangerous.
@@Jasminesim18 Thank you! I agree totally!

My pet peeve is googling 4c hair.... and seeing 3c or looser texture women saying they have 4c 🥴
The way they asked for “thoughts” like it’s up for debate what kind of hair you have.... like it’s other people’s job to validate YOUR hair 😒 they fully set you up sis call them out

I noticed that some of the "natural" girls have a curl softener, relaxer, or blow drying their real hair and trying to act like they woke up like that. smh
