I'm aware there are a few private crossings on the line. I didn't include private driveways for simplification reasons, also it's unlikely they'll touch them either. Just one of the weird quirks of the Hurstbridge line. Thanks for the extra information, I'll note that into the description.
@@tomhenry6440 Sounds good, yeah I have a google map link updating of the which level crossings are removed by the LXRP and remaining ones. Yeah including private crossings makes sense in your own map. Thanks for sharing that, sounds lovely.
One can nit pick over skyrail versus trenches or which lines should get their level crossings removed first. I get that. To remove a third of so many level crossings, in such a short space of time, completely changes how a city works. You really can't argue with results like that. Living in a state that refuses to build anything in Australia because someone might work for a union. We have ended up with a Govt that goes overseas and buys trains that don't fit in tunnels, ferries that don't fit under bridges, trams that can't run on each others lines... the list is endless. I can only dream of a level of competence you enjoy in Victoria.
Yeah, absolutely agreed. Although to be fair, Sydney has built lots of new rail lines in the last decade or so, while Melbourne only has started reinvesting in new rail lines again. And Sydney's crossings were mostly removed in the 1970s. So there's plenty of catching up on both sides. Good to see though actual improvements on public transport infrastructure in a quick succession, something that hasn't been seen in Australia for decades.
It is referring to Edithvale Road being extended through under the railway, as it removes the previous dogleg as it used to have a different road connection. Separately the station street bridge was built, but that's technically a road bridge over a river so it is not mentioned, also delivered at a different time as well.
You should make a video again because i haven't seen one since then
Nice to see a video again!
Thanks hope you enjoyed it.
At July 2021, it should say Hurstbridge line 14 as one of the driveways between Wattle Glen and Hurstbridge had its signals installed

I'm making a map like yours and will include the private crossings on the Hurstbridge line

Hope I'm right with my second map
Shame Twilight Sparkle was removed from the end hehe, that was a fun touch!
Yeah just for this video though. So new people are not confused about it.
can you do a regional rail timelapse of adelaide please
I'll think about that. Thanks for the suggestion.

1:18 Station Street not Edithvale Road

@@TrueBelievers that'll be McLeod Road then
@@JordysRailVideos Oh yeah it's MacLeod road in Carrum, mixed it up with Edithvale road in Edithvale. My mistake.
Now that is true😊
I guess so 😂
