Fiolstræde 1. Several years ago, it was branch of "The Royal Library". A former coworker was closing up, and saw this elderly man sitting on the main stairs, reading a book. She told him that we were closing, and asked him to leave. She turned around for a few seconds, and when she turned back, he was gone. She didn't give it much thought, until she went on a CPH Ghost tour, some years later, and the guide told the story about what, she herself had witnessed. Now, I'm skeptical! But I'm also opened-minded and believe that there's more between "Heaven and Earth". PS: I like your versatile approach to living in DK 👍😀👍.

Whoa!!! That gave me chills, thanks for sharing! That would probably make me believe more, seeing something physical like that.
And thank you so much for watching & taking the time to comment 😊

So Ms.Canuck 🇨🇦 😊! I've posted your spooky story on my FB site. Wonder when one of you expats (Youngs, Robes or you 😊) will go to Copenhagen's Birthplace? A.K.A. "Absalons Castle" ? From 1167. Maybe do it as a "Joint venture" and share the Love 😀 ! There is enough love to go around 👍❤👍 !!

Love the video, great graphics and footage. I went to a boarding school for a year on Falster (the island south of Sjælland) a few kilometers from the closest city, and to say that we were isolated would be an understatement. If you went missing, it would take a long time to find you, that sort of isolated. Anyway, a couple of friends and I used to play with ouija boards at night, and one night we sat in a friend's room and played. She started crying in the middle of the game and said that she could feel her (recently passed) grandfather in the room, and the marker then started moving rapidly and frantically all over the board. She screamed and I let go, but the others kept playing, and it spelled out something that I wish I could remember, but that she later claimed only her grandfather could have known. It's been a long time since, but I clearly remember that night, and how scary it was. I have never believed in ghosts, and I don't put much weight into these types of stories, but it was a scary experience. Happy Halloween, everybody!

Whoa!! That is spooky! My sister also had a scary ouija board experience in her youth; I'll see if I can get her to share it here in the comments.
I'm with you but definitely always fun to get into the Halloween spirit this way 😊 Thanks so much for sharing your story!

Around 10 years ago I arrived very early at work and I was going to be the only one in the office that day, so after locking myself in I went to the bathroom. Suddenly I heard a woman singing for around two seconds right behind me, I turned and there was no one! I checked all the office on both floors and but no one was there nor was any T.V, radio, or computer on and it was not a sound that I had on my phone either. I did not scared me, but I still to this day wonder what happened; did I encounter a ghost, a nature spirit, or a random overlapping of two dimensions?

In English, you have the expression "It's raining cats and dogs". We have a similar expression here in Danmark: "Det regner skomagerdrenge".
There are a couple of very interesting stories of why this saying started.
Maybe your detective brain can solve why it is called that. At least there are some cool stories on the subject.
BTW, your first song could be: "I have been kissed by a ghost". 😉

How about a haunted cinema? Well, semi-haunted:
Worked as a projectionist at a cinema, come closing time I'm turning off the lights in every auditorium, standing inside the slowly dimming auditorium to make sure it turns all the way off, one of them had a guest who was very unhappy with my turning off the lights. Guests were supposed to be out at this point, as the doors had been locked, and I was the only one left.
I turned the lights on quickly, but no one was there, and in a big empty room like that, it is easy to hear exactly where the sound of someone's voice is coming from. Nothing..
Unbeknownst to me, two days prior, a similar thing had happened to a colleague of mine, only he had not heard some angry costumer, he had heard angry dogs running down the stairs, directly towards him. He turned the lights on again and the sound stopped!
Neither of us turned the lights off in the auditorium WHILE being inside of it ever again. Too scary.
Oh, found out that specific auditorium is located where an old prison cellar of an old castle used to be, so, that would explain the dogs I guess.
Very nice video, never knew "Fanden er løs i Laksegade" had a story being it :D

Whoa, I love your story!! Did the angry "ghost" say anything to you? Like, how did they make it known they were angry? So creepy!
And thank you so much! I first learned about the "fanden er løs" saying from this story so I think I'm always going to associate it with this 🤭

@@ErininCopenhagen it was a manly voice, all he said was "Hey!", but it came just as the lights had dimmed a fair bit, too much for me to see anything in a new direction, and it was without a doubt the type of "hey" someone would utter, when you did something you were NOT supposed to do.
I don't think I've ever said that phrase myself, but I'll be sure to hit anyone who says it in the future with a newly learned fun fact 😄

Somtimes my wife see people in the bedroom at night......one little girl standing at the end of the bed just looking... more then one time..... a man lying beside her in the bed when I'm not there.....and a creepy man leaning over me from the bed side saying a creepy sound wile he raises his arms...... she always scream my name out loud..... 2 times in the living room you cut smell cigaret smoke.... but only if you were standing still at the same spot....just like when someone smells of smoke, if you just took one step away there were nothing and then back there it was again....
