I, Thank you very much, Sir, for sharing your knowledge. On how to set up the Cateye Padrone CC-PA, 100W. I was wanting to move the Cateye to another bike, and your UA-cam video made it very easy, for this senior citizen brain to understand. Absolutely beautifully done, Thank you, Sam Q. Bike rider.
Yes I was incorrect on what TM was, but I believe everything was correct. So far no one has pointed out anything wrong with my set up instructions so they must be right. Thanks for seeing.
Thanks for the video. I've had 3 Padrones and I like them overall, but the instruction sheet is almost useless. A feature I don't like is the small click-in indent mounting hole. Being thin plastic, it gets worn over time. Where I live you have to remove it every time you leave the bike. I've had a couple of Padrones stolen with and without the bike. The area is thick with druggies, as are so many cities that give out free "safe" supplies to addicts.
Not exactly the Cateye model I have but this was super helpful none the less. Still struggling with the clock but I just have to remember it's 20 mins off. :)
Thanks for the help. The product instructions are a bit vague. This is about my 4th Cateye bike computer over the past 20 years. I too have tried a couple other brands but eventually gave them away and bought another Cateye.
My Cateye is only displaying a speed of 0 when I’m riding. I haven’t changed anything. I checked my spoke device and it’s all in place. I don’t know if one of my kids might have played with the device and pressed buttons but do you know what could cause my speed to stay at zero while I’m riding? I can’t figure it out :/ thanks in advance for any tips.
Thank you for this presentation. It was very helpful. The Cateye Padrone is kind of obsolete, but I really like it. I got mine on September 29, 2018. I just now changed the batteries, after almost 3 years. Not bad. But needed to do the settings. Some day someone needs to make one that retains the data during a battery change. Oh well, Thank you.
How do you turn it on? How do you turn it off? How do you change modes while riding? is there a need to change modes while riding? The buttons are so small you need to get an ant to push them for you. I can't get to the mode buttons while I am riding. I am new to this riding stuff.
To turn it on push the middle button after you've moved the bike a little. Your finger can do that. Yes many people might want to have a different setting while they're riding. Example, maybe you want it to show the clock instead of the distance. Here's the instruction manual:www.cateye.com/intl/support/manual/data/doc/CC-PA100W_HP_ENG_n_v5.pdf Good luck.

And also I checked the position of the computer faced to the magnet sensor in correct position. But it didn't start in Auto start. But When the bike computer is in Measurement screen ,and when I start riding the bike, the display shows the speed. How do I manually set the odometer? I've had my padrone for four years now, and I just got to change the batteries today, hence the reset. I followed your video and have everything set except for the odometer which has gone back to 0. Is there a way for me to change this? Set it back to the original number before I replaced the batteries?
Hello! After every ride How do I reset all the datas that it collected for example Distance, Odometer reading etc. For me to start recording new datas on my next ride. Thanks in advance.
It's super easy Amon. Keep computer on bike, then just scroll through to the distance, mx, av, (etc), keep then push and hold down the bottom button on front, (or) push and old largest button on the back (you can take computer off bike for this) and you will zero out everything to start fresh. Thanks for seeing here
Absolutely. On the back push the menu button. Then the tire size will show, then push the large 'mode' button, and the hour will show, then push the large 'mode' button again and 'input' will show with the 'ODO' flashing. Then push and hold in the 'mode' button, and the 'ODO' numbers will start flashing, then push the 'mode' button every time to increase the first number. To go to the next number, push and hold the 'mode' button and the next number will flash, and again, push the 'mode' button to increase the number, and repeat the same process to proceed to go to next number to increase it.

Either the magnet is too far from the sensor, and/or the magnet and sensor are not lined up properly. Here's the guide from Cateye: www.cateye.com/files/manual_dl/2/957/CC-PA100W_HP_ENG_v2-1.pdf
Its the same thing for me. The batteries have on average a one-year life. I don't think there is a mode to add or erase miles, We may to just total the miles on a separate computer.
just bought one of these, however the magnet, and sensor are way to far apart on 3 bicycles, rendering it useless, the forks on the bikes are simply too far apart, closest I could get on one mountain bike, was about a 1 inch gap, no where near the 5mm . regardless how far down the spoke I tried placing both sensor and magnet, it just can't do it
@@CMRinehart thanks, yeah, ironically , setting up the computer part, was easy, the only way I made this device work ( through a crude setup) was to place the wireless sensor with thin foam padding and black electrical tape, to the inside of the fork, and use a different sensor that came with my old Shwinn wired computer I had ages ago, and is long gone, but I had kept the magnet lol that magnet sticks out 4 mms closer, than the Cateye one, my test bike is a brand new Raleigh Comfort Cruiser bicycle 7 speed, 700C X 38C tires , 2180 on the computer, it's kind of working, . it's been now a 4+n hour trip of modifying to get this to work on one these bikes lol

This model does not. The Padrone+ has the backlight. Thanks for seeing here Anthony.
THANK`S DUDE, I WAS @ A LOSS AS I HAVE A CATEYE COMPUTER & WAS WONDERING ABOUT THE INFO TO SET CLOCK, YOU MENTIONED ABOUT CATEYE.COM & THAT IS WHAT I DID, THANK`S AGAIN FOR THE HEADS UP DUDE. . .
Dream Catcher Man Thanks for seeing here. Glad it worked out OK for you. This model Cateye is a great product. Take care.
is there any available spare parts for sale for the padrone because I lost my speed sensor during my ride. Can you give me a idea what will I do so that I can use my padron again? thanks a Lot.
The Propaganda: Buy on eBay and Amazon. Good luck.
Thank you so much Charles M Rinehart.
The Propaganda: Thanks for seeing here. I appreciate it.
hello quick question here, if i reset it will it also reset the odometer? ty
Carl: Yes. But try this. Instead of going through the who process with the back buttons, push the tiny middle button on the front and get to the odometer, then push and 'hold' the same button again. All should set to zero. Good luck.
+Charles M Rinehart : thanks charles il give it a try! nice review btw
Carl: You are very kind my friend. All the best.
if you hold and press it on odo mode it doesnt reset the odo FYI only the other features.
Flov VBasF: Correct. Only everything else.
Thank you for this informative video! I’ve misplaced the instruction manual, so this was great!!!
Cheers and happy riding, from Ohio!
Glad this helped you Christy and thank you for the nice words. If you're on FB let's connect. I'd love to see any of your bike travel photos.
This is my first bike computer. Your video was super helpful! Is there a way to turn it off or does it cut off eventually?
It will go to sleep eventually, but it might display something automatically. I have two in front of my computer, one shows MPH, and the other the clock, but they're asleep. Thanks for seeing here and the kind words.
@@CMRinehart How do I turn if off ?
How do I manually set my Odometer? When you change the battery, you lose your cumulative miles....
Look at this Karen: www.cateye.com/intl/support/manual/data/doc/CC-PA100W_HP_ENG_n_v5.pdf
@@CMRinehart thanks for posting, but it does not show how to manually set the odometer. Although they are similar, I have a different model and the instructions that came with mine do not address how to do that either. I'll just have to start from zero miles every time I change the battery. 😏
@@karenderbes5943 The odometer can only be reset at 0. Once the wheels move a little, press the middle button on the front of computer to turn it on. Then press and hold the middle button again to reset all functions to 0. Thank you for seeing here Karen.
Este cateye es resistente al agua? Gracias 🙏
Thank you for seeing.
@@CMRinehart is it water resistant?
Edwin Leon Yes it has been in several heavy thunderstorms will hauling it with my car.
@@CMRinehart thank you
Edwin Leon Thanks for seeing Ed I Appreciate it. This model is very affordable and works great.
How do you turn it off for battery life
It goes to sleep on its own.
@@CMRinehart thank you
@@edwardbntz8825 Thanks a bunch for seeing here Ed. Stay safe.
Hi. I've followed all the steps in setting it up but still when i tried to ride my bike, speed won't change, still at zero. Please help me
Either the magnet is too far from the sensor, and/or the magnet and sensor are not lined up properly. Here's the guide from Cateye: www.cateye.com/files/manual_dl/2/957/CC-PA100W_HP_ENG_v2-1.pdf
Million dollar question: When I replaced my battery it erased the 8,023 miles on the odometer. How do I add the miles to the odometer?
Its the same thing for me. The batteries have on average a one-year life. I don't think there is a mode to add or erase miles, We may to just total the miles on a separate computer.
just bought one of these, however the magnet, and sensor are way to far apart on 3 bicycles, rendering it useless, the forks on the bikes are simply too far apart, closest I could get on one mountain bike, was about a 1 inch gap, no where near the 5mm . regardless how far down the spoke I tried placing both sensor and magnet, it just can't do it
Tony, your issue is very strange. I'd take it to a bike shop. They're experts. Thanks a bunch for seeing here. Good luck.
@@tony--james You are definitely a mechanic figuring it out. Bravo indeed. Safe riding Tony.
@@CMRinehart Hey, yeah, been using it for a few days now, it's working, however I just noticed a conflict on the tire size, and ETRTO code that's on the tire, computer ODO, and Speed are a little fast so going to adjust tire size from 2180 , to 2200. yeah, gotta dial it in for better accuracy. but so far so good!! it's awesome,
@@tony--james You've got the touch Tony. This Padrone has always worked perfectly for me. And I love the OFM (out front mount). Enjoy guy.
I'm waiting for so long and it still doesn't turn off, what do i do?
Try putting a fresh battery in in. Let me know.
Thank you for this, it really helps

Yes Marion any bike.
Is this computer waterproof? Can i ride on the rain with it?
It's been on my bike in a heavy rain. Still worked great. Thanks for seeing here.
noob question, what's different between 24h and 12h
24 hour is military time, 12 hour is the normal time clocks are.
Good work, Thank you
Thanks for seeing and your kind words. Hope it helped you out.
how to setting night mode ? thanks
I didn’t see anything on the Cateye manual about night mode on the Padrone. The Velo wireless has night mode.
Thank you sir i set properly my speedometer 👌
Thanks a bunch for seeing Jaypee. I'm glad it helped you out. Happy cycling.
Very helpful; thank you. I've done this twice before, but it's been years so I forgot :(

Great work !
Thanks for seeing Ramon. I appreciate it. Safe riding.
How to turn off my cateye padrone plus? Im scared it always open
It automatically goes into sleep mode. If not change battery. Thanks for seeing here.
Update. I turned sleep or off after 1 hour.
Pressing and holding MODE when on the measurement screen resets all measurement data to 0 (excluding Odo).
What is the measurement screen?
@@barbs1298 The front screen size of the computer.
@@CMRinehart Thanks.
