well there is always someone 'better' than you, in terms of technique there will always be people that will exceed the boundaries of what is possible on piano with 2 hands, I find that they way you play a piece is very personal and one of a kind and is unique and cannot simply be 'bettered'.
This video and your interpretation means so such to me. It was actually one of the reasons I started playing a piano as I watched it 8 years ago. Now, after all those years, I can play it and this medley will always play essential role in my heart. Even now, after all these years and tons of compositions, I come here from time to time to fully enjoy nostalgic goosebumps. And eventhough you probably won´t read this, I wanted to thank you for this inspiration you brought to me ♥
I've read EVERY comment since my channel started. This is a beautiful comment and made my day, thanks for sharing your story with me and everyone else who may read it.
Oh, you think the darkness is your ally, but you merely adopted the dark. I was born in it, molded by it. I didn't see the light until I was already a man; by then, it was nothing to me but blinding! The shadows betray you, because they belong to me. I will show you where I have made my home, whilst preparing to bring justice. Then, I will break you. Your precious armoury, gratefully accepted. We will need it. Ah yes, I was wondering what would break first. Your spirit, or your body.
Then suchlike as nobly he spewed his utmost out through melody. Successful. A voice in my generation tho, m..through music. Absurdly gifted. I wasn't rewritable since my youth! Whomever you are Sir, BRAVO....
i don't wanna be a hater or something, but this is a pretty simple arragement (and yes it is cool the simpliest things are the most effective aren't they? )every 5rd grade piano student can learn it just a bit slower he barely changes the notes ( i know i learn it right now). This arragements difficult is in its speed. So please don't compare him to Mozart. Mark is realy good a smooth pianist I admit it, But mozart? He was a genius. ***** Hey, nice stuff! I'm curious, how much of this has sound editing? The variance in volume across hands sounds impressive. If that's the keyboard (and of course your touch), I should get one someday :) Also, are the violin-y sounds added later from the keyboard?
The only negative thing I have to say about this video is that it isn't longer. Beautifully played, absolutely mesmerizing. I have so much respect for you, Mr. Fowler, and you have inspired me to keep playing. Thank you.
This guy is making me a fan of piano music, this piece is simply amazing to my ignorant ears, looks like electrical arragments make this piece sound absolutly round... Go Mark!
that is the trailer music used for the Nokia trailer/clip, this piece is not featured ,for some very strange and annoying reason, on the soundtrack album, however it closely resembles 'Gotham's Reckoning' of course.
1:06 - 2:00 you transform this piece into it's own universe. This is beautiful, my mind and heart just burst with admiration whenever I listen to you play this!
UKpiano you are the pianist we deserve, but not the one we need right now. When all fail to make another DK sheet we will call upon you the true avenger the Yamaha Knight.
the one I play in this video is great, yamaha p-155, or you could get the more affordable p-105, but the touch/feel of the keyboard is half as good as the p-155, which is very important.
it was made for the Nokia trailer for the movie, more than likely a re-edit of Gotham's Reckoning, bit like he did for the third man of steel trailer, the track ended up being called 'An Ideal Of Hope' (a re-edit of What Are You Going To Do When You Are Not Saving The World?) but was never officially released (like the piece you are referring to in your comment, it too was never officially released on the album or any bonus tracks, and I still dont know why either, as its an amazing track.
my friend , I have played for years I have played by multiple sclerosis on my left side and a broken wrist on my right side and everytime that I play that I feel actually energetic inside and I must say your ability is absolutely outstanding your performance made me feel absolute joy to hear it played so well thank you very much for sharing that
Just the best. And after listening to this amazing piano i suddenly remember alll the moments of the film. Makes me emotional. Touches the heart, your piano

I mean, it was completely different from what Zimmer uses to make(And he is my favorite composer), I can't decide yet whether I like it or not, I even find it very repetitive, I don't know, what do you think?´ Sorry for the english.
andtutoriales yes its a great movie, I find every track on the soundtrack to Interstellar is a real treat to listen to, you get something different every time, I have not found that in his other soundtracks, The batman soundtracks are obviously genius and Inception is too, but I really like the creativity in Interstellar on the whole, the complexity of the organ sounds and integration with the orchestra is so good, the different sounds he creates for the soundtrack, like the Wormhole track are amazing, its just genius how he chose the organ to carry the music this time, such an amazing idea, a stroke of genius.

Will Phillips Ok let's go through it shall we. Did I say I could play this? No. You need to stop assuming that you have to be able to play that precise piece to know that it's not very hard. I'm guessing your knowledge of piano is very limited, so, coming from someone who ACTUALLY knows shit, it's not hard. Chords are the easiest for the left hand, just try it out and you'll see. I didn't say everyone could play it lmao
+Mark Fowler Great job, Mark! I've lost count of how many times I've listened to this. You should do a bloopers or fails towards the end of your videos lol cuz in all of your videos you look really professional and it would be really reassuring to know that you're a human after all XD.
Exactly how I feel. When I first heard this arrangement I thought "Wow he outdid himself this time." It's a great take on the pieces of music, not only are you able to capture the sounds, but also the emotions of The Dark Knight trilogy. But the LOTR composition you made... Wow. It blew my mind, and at this moment it's my favorite arrangement for the piano. I really want to be able to learn it some day.
Really admire that enthusiasm, it is just piano playing, but the level of energy is enough to shake the whole keyboard. I know it is on a bed, but I can still see that high level of energy output into the performance. Really, really nice. Have been a fan of yours for a long time. Thankyou for bringing us such exceptional piano interpretations, looking forward for more.
