I've been using this series and your updated laning guides to get my rank up in pokemon unite (the state of fundamentals guides in that game is abysmal) it absolutely transfers. my duo partner / spouse is now Master rank, and I'm Ultra (unite's equivalent of Challenger and Diamond respectively) by applying your principles. thank you!
An amazing series. After dropping to P5 from P2 within a week, I stopped playing ranked and accepted that this was my peak in player skill level, but watching this series has really enlightened me that there is so much more! Especially the similar difference between S1 and D5 being identical to D5 and M. Super interesting stuff.
Could you do a video on splitpushing? İ love playing Jax and climbed from low silver to gold thanks to your videos. However I still don't know how to properly split push. I would love to learn how to do it more effectively.
Could you also learn to speak french D:? I'm looking (some of) your vids a long time ago but have some trouble to understand everything :c Nice work btw!
When I started playing Kindred I was always trying to 1v2 or sometimes 1v3 my enemies (when I was quite fed ofc) because I knew my champion is able to do that. Aaaaand I always failed. But after many games I've started to win those fights and now I can carry games more easily. The point is, don't be afraid to take risks even if most of the time you fail, soon you will become good enough to make better decisions.
sometimes the kills/feed aren't much important because the main objective of the game is to destroy the enemy nexus, so to do that it is only required to push the lanes. thats where communication is important, a splitpusher can be a very important factor to win a game, for example, my team not letting enemy team recall to defend their nexus. or our team only needs to kill one of the enemies and push everything up to the nexus even if losing on kills/gold.
Why is it very important to practice one thing at a time? I have trouble doing that and I'm resorting to just practicing everything at once but I really want to improve, do you think I should force myself to follow this method if I want the most success, what's wrong with practicing multiple things at a time?
+Okay Then when you learn things, you are actually going through 4 stages. Unconscious incompetence - > conscious incompetence->conscious competence and then unconscious competence. By focusing on too many things at once, you are impeding your growth through these stages by inhibiting (especially) pattern recognition and repetition. Repetition is the key to developing unconscious competence, which is why your math teachers will be giving you exercises where you practice 3 pages of matrix multiplication before even trying to add anything else. If you do csing with trading stance you're just limiting the amount of time you are practicing trading stance a game and you won't learn as fast.
Can you make a video on how to proxy between towers? Some top laners are able to proxy, but I want to know the requirements of how to proxy. What to look out for when proxying and the conditions that need to be met. I want to know what proxying implys strategically and what you can gain from it. There arn't many videos out there that go in depth on the topic and I would really love it if you did one!
Generally speaking, you can just proxy when you see the jungler somewhere else, their top laner can't 1v1 you and their mid can't collapse. Since this is such a restrictive set of conditions, you shouldn't really proxy that often unless you REALLY want them to collapse on you (eg. You have a countergank ready).
I agree that most of the time you shouldn't blame it on your team, but if a 15/0 Garen and a 10/0 Jinx decide to come and help out the losing mid laner, and your team doesn't listen to shot-calling, chances are there's nothing you can do to win.
Hey mate, love your vids. I have some trouble dealing with being camped as a toplaner, if i play an immobile champion like Darius. is the simple awnser to freeze and ward. or could you make a video going more indepth on laning as immobile champions.
I also prefer the individual approach. Of course rotations, objectives, management on teleports and the like are super-important, but I would say these quality videos on individual skills required to be a good player are much more rewarding (once you know objective basics) to earn you ELO (but yes, I love your "how to properly play teamfights", mate).
i got from low silver to low gold, but im not entirely sure how to progress further. i know when i make mistakes and can recognize them, but i dont know how to prevent them.
Maybe try and put up a list of mistakes that you do or write them out or something. Being conscious of your mistakes and reminding yourself of them constantly is the easiest way to improve.
So in I've become pretty good in trading stance with winning matchups but if I got counterpicked or just have a hard matchup I can't find ways to pressure my opponent thus giving them free cs 24/7 where I have to give up cs all the time because I get outdmged. I don't know how to win these games w/o jungler help but I bet a challenger would win even in that hard matchup. How do they do that?
Depends what League you're in. Below Plat, people don't really play the matchups properly, so you can just use trading stance + lane control (eps 1 and 3) to win the lane. Minion management is very important in bad matchups.
yeah Im diamond V, and for example when I play tf against a viktor I find myself zoned since he outtrades me since lvl 1. if I don't trade with him he just free farms and if I trade I lose. Ot's like a lose lose situation in my eyes but I bet there' someting I don't know that challenger players do
in that case you should let Viktor farm and you also farm yourself up from distance. Viktor has high range but he's squishy and has no escapes so he's not going to sit in front of your tower zoning you out, you have a targeted stun so it's extremely risky. After the lane phase is when you need to outpace the viktor and make tp plays with your ultimate. Take tp and get to the lane quickly as viktor is the god of waveclear on midlane.
3% approx. are not your fault AT all. Ofc depending on your elo, but i assume, hence this is a tutorial that we are talking about palt and under. 10 other % are not 100% your fault, but you could have done better (way better if we are talking about gold and under). Except those 13%, all the other loses are your fault. That means that playing perferctly from Bronze V to Diamond V you can achieve a 87% win rate if you win all the "winnable game" (those where it's your fault when you lose) Have a nice day and nice grinding :D
Obviously it's not always your fault, the point is to get people to focus on their own mistakes. Thinking that it's always your fault lets you improve, because to correct a mistake you first need to acknowledge it. Also, the fact that doing a certain mistake in a certain game might have been insignificant and it didn't actually cause the loss, doesn't mean it can't cost you in a different game.
+LucaTurilli89 being able to calculate that damage and make the play was pretty insane. Mainly because he was 1 q short by my calculation, but he knew his Q CD would give another one. Pretty good knowledge by him.
Just a question for you, is reactionary roaming something you should do for every single fight that another nearby lane gets in? This seems somewhat silly to me since most fights would be done by the time you got to another lane, but it does frustrate me when I solo kill my laner when I'm mid only to find the enemy bot lane in my lane for no apparent reason. I did see your video that introduced reactionary roaming, but I thought the advice given as to when exactly and in what situations you should do it were. I find it frustrating when my lane opponent roams when I'm near their tower, I can deny them 2 or 3 entire waves of minions, but it just feels like the MIA pings and denied farm just wasn't enough to stop them, so should reactionary roaming be done 100% of the time?
Personally I think you should reaction roam every time something is happening. Especially at higher ELO, if you roam immediately it can be enough to stop people from fighting if they're watching the map. On the contrary if they don't respond, then that's easy kills? If the person shows up and your team is instantly boned, then yeah probably don't reaction roam, but if you can make it to swing the fight, then 100% go for it.
Hey man! Just came here from Reddit and absolutely loving ur series. Great tips all around. I have a fairly specific question. I'm a Zyra support one trick player (name Zyra Bot on EUW) and I'm struggeling to get to Diamond. Currently in plat 3-2. I notice myself winning lane almost every game since I know the strenghts of my champion and how to abuse her early damage. A lot of the time in my games I also notice myself not knowing what to do. Zyra is a champion that almost automatically perma-shoves waves into the enemy turret. When the waves hit their turret and my AD wants to base, I want to roam or do something elsewhere on the map. Zyra is not one of the strongest roamers since you don't have a big engage tool like Thresh, Leona or Nautilus. Sometimes I feel like I'm just wandering around the map doing absolutely nothing. Since i'm not a tank, I can't go into the unwarded enemy jungle safely, I can't really set up ganks on mid, and when I leave my AD they sometimes just die because they don't respect 1v2's. Is my best strategy just to stay bot 24/7 and abuse my power to perma-push? I know the strenghts of my champion but I don't know how to snowball my strong laning into winning the game.
+MrShizzleShit group with your team and deward mainly. You do so much damage if you catch someone and you have your team to protect if you get collapsed since you're so squishy.
All I got from this episode is duo queue with your high challenger smurf friend for that sweet sweet 97% winrate.
lmfao
doublelift is that you?
Lmao!

I learned to play ADC thanks to you so many months ago! Im Diamond V now. Thanks a lot man :) I was Gold when I watched your videos!
I'm not even good enough to fail, I just go Nasus top and play solo farming simulator. The entire team is at your inhibitor, still farming.
DIamond Eyes, they're watching you. They see your every move.
Well memed sir

Yep sure.

that'd be great

nice vids, finding them useful even as a d3 player
read the title and immediately started singing the start of diamond eyes by shinedown -> boom lay boom lay boom

Can we accept the fact that all of us are way too fucking stupid to play this game?
Most*.
GG no re.
Could you do a video focusing on supporting and specifically how to give your team your best percentage to win with your losing lane?
for the people who are watching this in season 10. dieing 1 for 1 started to become "better" with the shutdown system
Hey, could you do a video on how to analyse and what to look for specifically to improve in vods, or in replays - thanks:).
look up LS he has done that a bit
Hey mate, love your vids. I have some trouble dealing with being camped as a toplaner, if i play an immobile champion like Darius. is the simple awnser to freeze and ward. or could you make a video going more indepth on laning as immobile champions.
so if u play a jg and u see a dar top lane what do u do? how/when can u kill him
Do you have plans to do videos on support? This series was really helpful for me even as a support main but hearing specifics would be cool too.
Hi, I mostly play melee champions mid/top. How does can I improve the trading stance vs ranged opponents?
+forextroll watch episodes 1 and 3
nice work on upload rate!
highly enjoying your videos, mind doing top lane?
make more videos I love these!!!
How do you recommend going about learning to cs? I want to work on trading stance, but my brothers say I need to work on CS first.
Thanks for these.
You should do videos with premade 5v5 strats and stuff like that, there's barely any on the internet.
I'll get there eventually, still got a lot of things to put up still.
unswlolsoc Thanks for the fast response.
Nah, thats too complicated and narrow. This channel is mostly focused at getting good for a solo player, and its better this way.
sub me in coach
I also prefer the individual approach. You get flamed the most when you fail...
/mute all :)
but what if they call for rotation or something?
It's not that important, pings is enough most of the time
If you don't wan't to miss anything from the tchat then don't care about the messages who flames.
that's the reason the /mute all command exists

Hey could you do an aplied video on ADC :3 ? thnx

According to that graph at the end, I have the MMR of a plat V, but I'm in silver III. Noice
Highly unlikely. If you're referencing lolking or OPGG mmr, they are different
unswlolsoc OP.GG. I thought it was weird too, but considering I have an 80% W/L on zac, idk. br.op.gg/summoner/userName=heavenbuilder
vc poderia ter pegado um platina se tivesse jogado mais vezes.
Idiota To ligado, mas n tenho tempo pra ficar jogando e upando meu rank.
Mas você tem coração de platina (de verdade) xD
Is this series still going on?
+Saifo Khalid yep

I don't agree with the first statement. I can't be all over the whole map, so every lost cannot be my fault!

IF bronze III is beginner, what's about bronze IV :LOL ^o^
Music?
Martin Garrix - Oops
Alex Skrindo - Ease
Thanks! Had the first song stuck in my head and was bothering me that I couldn't remember what it was called.
