Smashing Juicy Italian Meatball sub With Garlic Noodles!

  • Meatball Sub
    Ingredients:
    1 medium onion chopped
    1 green pepper chopped
    12 cloves of garlic minced
    1 tbsp of basil garlic butter
    1Tbsp of sugar
    Fresh herbs chopped: Thyme, Basil, oregano
    1Ib Block of mozzarella cheese
    28oz can of crushed tomatoes
    Package of spaghetti noodles
    1 1/2 white cooking wine
    1 Tbsp Red pepper flakes
    1/2 of a lemon
    Italian loaf of bread
    4 slices of Havarti cheese
    Olive oil
    1Ib of mild Italian sausage
    1Ib of hamburger
    1 cup of Italian bread crumbs
    1/4 cup of diced onions
    1/3 cup of chopped parsley
    1/2 cup of milk
    1 egg
    1 cup of shredded Parmesan reggiano cheese
    Garlic salt
    Montreal seasoning
    Worcestershire sauce
    Seasoned pepper
    Onion powder
    Meatball directions:
    In a large bowl combine 1Ib of sausage, 1Ib of hamburger, 1/4cup diced onions, 4 cloves minced garlic, 1 cup of shredded Parmesan reggiano cheese, 1 cup of Italian bread crumbs, 1/2 cup of milk, 1 egg and season with garlic salt, onion powder, Montreal seasoning, Worcestershire sauce & seasoned pepper. Mix together & use a 1/4cup to form your meatballs or use a cookie scoop. Once meat balls are formed cut your block of mozzarella cheese into small cubes and place a cube of cheese in the middle of each meat ball and form your meat around the cheese nice and tight. Next in a cast iron skillet on medium high heat, sear your meatballs on each side until brown and remove from pan. Do not over cook the meat balls. Just sear for 2 minutes on each side. Once meatballs are removed, in the same pan, add your chopped green pepper, chopped onion, 6 cloves of minced garlic, 1Tbsp of garlic basil butter and sauté for 3 minutes. Next add 28oz can of crushed tomatoes with a 1/4 cup of water. Season with garlic salt, onion powder, 1Tbsp of sugar, fresh blend of herbs and 5 basil leaves. Add your meat balls back to the cast iron skillet in the sauce and cover and let it simmer for 35 minutes or until meatballs tempt to 155 degrees.
    Garlic noodles directions:
    Boil the spaghetti as directed on package. In a skillet on medium high heat, add 6 Tbsp of oil, 1Tbsp of butter, 12 cloves of minced garlic, 1 Tbsp of pepper flakes and sauté for 3 minutes. Next add 1 1/2 cups of white wine and simmer for 5-6 minutes to reduce it down. Next add your noodles to the sauce and toss it around and squeeze 1/2 a lemon over the noodles and season with garlic salt and onion powder taste as you go. Then top it off with parsley and Parmesan reggiano. Then cut up an Italian loaf of bread, add havarti cheese to it and pop it in the oven on broil until the cheese is nice and melted. Remove your Italian loaf from the oven and assemble your sub with garlic noodles, meatballs, the marinara sauce and ENJOY!!
