Wow look at the mind of a 16 year old... Imagine if every 16year old could think like her wow all I can say is her parents did an amazing job
So many more do, but we adults suppress them or refuse to truly listen to them. I meet hundreds of them every year.
I agree.
I definitely wasn’t fucking around
Wise beyond her years... i'm 17 and I wanna be like her when I grow up
how're u now?
The youth are beyond powerful, thoroughly enjoyed this and was motivated by it
lhamilt I could not agree with you more! Such a beautiful generation coming our way!
She broke down why media affects biases so well.Anyone that could look at Yara's breakdown and they say they don't get it must be trying not to.
So beautiful and important for people to hear! Yara is so bright!
Yara is so well spoken , elegant and wise beyond her years. very inspiring
I could listen to her talk all day
And I’m 100% serous I could quite literally sit in a room all day and just listen to her elegant way of speaking
I feel exactly the same
Same I’m doing it now
She is a good speaker
Yara been preaching for years now. Bless this girl. I love and support her so much. It's ridiculous. What a job her parents have done, what Yara has done. And she's only gotten better. And is unfailingly HUMBLE about it. Wow, indeed.
I love her why can't there be more ppl like her on social media instead of Kylie Jenner or azelia banks
Paloma Hunter Azalea Banks is smart but unfortunately she chooses to spend all her energy on negative things and people, if she did what Yara did more people would give her the recognition she deserves. Plus I do think she’s dealing with personal stuff on which she lashes out on, she needs to learn calmness and humbleness. Plus she’s just like her mom who also lashes out on people
hey it is not good to compare
This was amazing, wow, I'm in love its official. I think its important to note also how young she is influencing a new generation of girls to love themselves and be proud of their ethnicities - I love that.
PURE ELOQUENCE AND EXTREMELY WISE BEYOND HER YEARS. THANK YOU YARA FOR GIVING HOPE TO OUR GENERATION.
WOW has God got plans for you. This incredible girl is going to make a visible mark on the world. I can't wait to watch her soar😍😍

Wow wow wow First time here. The world is changing or has changed.
Everybody ready? Humbled.
You are so Amazing. Thanks
this is amazing! but i was wondering if you could please add captions so that it's more accesible for d/Deaf/HoH people, and as well as for people whose first language isn't english so reading the words is easier and more understandable? it would be super helpful thanks
nice speech! really hit on a lot of important dynamics of diversity on screen. media is the most influential form of communication today. what we see on screen has profound effects on society at large. you ended your speech with something like, 'does art reflect society or does art effect society?' are there ulterior motives at work within the film industry when it comes to diversity on screen? a powerful tool the media is in this day and age... watch the trends... i dont think they're accidents.
Excellent speech, especially the part about failure being the expectation and success being the exception. We are all exceptional if only the world will see us.
Truly a gifted young lady 👌🏾
Love Her!
I was moved 👏👏👏💯💯💯💪
She is nothing short of special and extremely necessary
This is one girl who can steal hours of my time without me regretting it.
I love this beautiful young lady.
yara we love you❤❤
She’s amazing
yara shahidi is so inspiring, she is so mature, and beautiful. I look up to her so much and hope to be like her when I am older. She is trying to make a difference at such a young age. She graudated at age 18, she is so smart and independent and I hope one day before or during or even after my days of fame (which I hope happens lol:}) I get to meet her and talk to her. I love her so much, she is a true queen.
Yaya has inspired me and I hope to meet her someday
Can someone put subtitles on this video if possible please.
Yara should run for president in the future

She looks a lot younger when she has on less makeup, and still very beautiful!

Black and Iranian that's a lethal combo!! Haha
Say that again💯💯💯
she is the reincarnation of the great Malcom X.
A smart person knows a tomato is a fruit. A wise person knows not to put a tomato in a fruit salad. This girl is as wise as a steak milkshake.
04:15 dharma is a very specific word to use, i think she's brilliant
damn Im so stupid
Kinda Cute🤦🏾♂️
mmmm Iranian is not a race, her dad is white, his ethnicity is Persian, his race is White.
*middle east*
tv show about a bunch of light skin ppl called Blac-ish I mean nigga come on that title by itself is just racist, through half season it piss me off when they always switch a dark skin girl to light skin, and its always been like this ppl jus dont see it, Aunt Viv, Claire Marie Kyle, My Wife and Kids, and the list goes on.
okay but three of the family members are light skin and the other three are not so...
jonjon so I take it that you're the one down vote?
Keep the good work YARA
I'm in love
