Thank you for your lovely comments! Please let us know what you love to do with Washi Tape! I bet everyone needs new ideas on how to use it! Leave a comment and let us know! Thank you so much!
The brown tape can be found in the flooring dept. of most hardware stores. It's typically for carpet installation. And the white is in building dept. and is used for drywall, or paint dept. 😊 I always love watching you create, Suzanne. Your voice is beautiful, and designs are inspiring.
May I add that white paper tape in 2” width or other sizes are just masking tape found in Walmart, Joann or Michael’s stores in the USA. Home Depot, Lowe’s also have them but more expensive. I bought mine for $2.50 or so with Joann coupons.
As far as I understood, this is not self-sticky like masking tape. For these ones you need to ad a tiny bit of water to make them sticky. This tape is used to close big post packages (in Germany).
Thank you! I have no idea if this is the same tape. In Germany it's called Nassklebeband and it's used to stretch watercolorpaper before you paint it. Some people also use it for bookbinding. Happy you like the videos!
Fun to do with pre-gummed tapes but can also be done with 11" strips cut or torn from sheets of letter-sized papers. The ripped pieces would be nice. Then these DIY strips can be glued to projects. SO many possibilities!
The paint hues and combinations you chose are just brilliant--especially with the effect of the texture plates creating patterns in the layers. I just love this technique. Thank you for a wonderful idea and inspiration!❤
I loved the way that you laid down 3 strips of tape and stamped simultaneously, allowing the stamps to overlap the tapes. I have some large stamps that would work out great for this technique. TFS!
So lovely. Very inspirational. The brown tape is called Kraft tape. It can be obtained online or from craft stores & is often used to secure pictures or paintings into frames.
I’ve seen this video twice already so I apologize if I’ve commented already. BUT I love this idea. I’ve done this with rolls and sheets of labels. I will def work with this idea. Loved it! 🖤
Wow, this is brilliant! Thank you for the video. I have so much left over acrylic paint that I don't know what to do with and I don't want to toss it out. This will be ideal to make my own washi tapes. Can't wait to get started! It will be awesome to make them to my own specs so I can fill in my art & junk journals with truly unique designs.
Thank you so much Suzanne, I really really enjoyed watching you create these beautiful and wonderful washi tapes. I am very very inspired indeed. I absolutely love ❤❤❤❤ them, and I think you created something amazing too. Please stay safe and well too xxxx Mags ❤❤❤❤
Lovely tape! Really like the vintage vibes! May I add that white paper tape in 2” width or other sizes are just masking tape found in Walmart, Joann or Michael’s stores in the USA. Home Depot, Lowe’s also have them but more expensive. I bought mine for $2.50 or so with Joann coupons. They are great for reinforcing junk journal spine.
Love love looooove your handmade Washi tape ♥️I have the brown tape in big quantities as I use it to make my own body doubles for sewing😃I will definitely try making washi tape as well. Thank you Suzanne 💖🌷💖
Lots of goodness there! I love the colors you used, and the stamps you chose are a perfect match for them. It's a great idea to make your own washi tape. Thank you for showing us how to do it.
I love it! I have one page shipping labels that I bought at a thrift store and will use them. I can then cut a strip of any size. Your video shows us great ideas!🙂❤
This was very inspiring… i loved it. Was the side you would glue down plain paper or was there already adhesive or glue on it…. If not what do you do…glue it down? What kind of glue ? Paper glue?? Just wondering about that part of it.. the project is beautiful and looks like fun !
Hi! I recognize you & know you’re in the US! (I watch your channel!) I’m very confused about what kind of tape this is! Wonder if you could explain & whether it’s available on Amazon? It seems like it might be gummed & therefore not double sided tape that you pull a layer off of?? I think some use label pages & you pull the backing away? Thanks so much & I hope you don’t mind I reached out to you! Erica❤
this is a game changer for washi tape! Absolutely a genius idea! Thank you so much for sharing! One question, does the gummy side of the tape loose its stickiness once you stamp it,paint it,etc? Does this tape need to be brushed with water before sticking to a JJ? Thank you so much and your tape came out so great!
Hallo liebe Susanne, eine tolle Idee. Ich werde es mal ausprobieren 👍🏼 Könntest du mir vielleicht sagen woher ich so ein Tape bekomme? Hättest du vielleicht einen Link?
I am very sorry! We are not allowed to ship to Sweden, thanks to an EU restriction. We must pay a packaging license, but it is so expensive for Sweden, that we decided not to ship to Sweden, as we have almost no customer there.
Thise tapes are normally used to fix watercolour paper to a board and schould be able to be found in the watercolour supply section!! Have bought it there myself. However, the brown tape is more commonly found ...

Wow they look awesome!!!
Thank you so much!
I love how you created your tape. I found a large roll of smooth brown tape at Daiso last month. Now I wish I had bought more!
Well, I checked the tape from Daiso and it's sticky on the back. Not super sticky, but maybe it can be placed on some sort of backing?
Well, the tape that I tried was an utter fail. It is slick as all get out. I'll be finding true paper tape next week.
That’s a perfect way to put marks and color on your tape ❤ Thank you for sharing this ❤ Now I need the tape ❤
You are welcome! Thank you!

There is glue on it, which activates with water. It's called gummed paper tape. Thank you!
waouh ! super intéressant ! biz

Dear Erica, search for gummed paper tape. I think you should find that on amazon.
Loved it!
Thank you!
Really cool ❤
Thanks!
They are looking great...

You paint the side without the gummed glue. The paint on this side doesn't affect the glue on the other.
@@SusanneRose thank you!
I really love these!
Thank you!
Yessss!!
Hallo liebe Susanne,

Thanks for the tip! That's what I bought it for and then never used them!
Super schön👍👍👍👍👍😍👏
Danke Dir!
Can you get those stamps "state side" id Us?
Yes of course we ship to the US.
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
❤
I prefer anything that can be handmade, because you will never see tape that 50 other people have used in their projects.
That's true! I like that too!
