This pattern was a blast from the last for me. In 1972, I took a crocheting class as an elective in junior high school. This shawl was the first pattern we learned. I did mine in fuchsia.
Made one in black , worked really well and fast. Thanks for the tutorial, I were having trouble for the decrease, but the video helped solving the problemes
Ummmm okay this is DEFINITELY getting added to the queue!! I loooove this!
My daughter would love this. Have it on my to do list. Thank you for an easy project. Well... you make it look easy.
Wow, I just finished it and it's exactly what I needed! I am using it as a head scarf for church; the ends are long enough to wrap around your neck and the triangle part covers your head and rests just at shoulder length, perfect! I didn't include the fringe as I was just using it for a scarf. It worked up in just a few hours and was really simple. I used a 4.5 oz skein of Red Heart With Love Metallic in a pale grey and still had yarn left over. I agree that you must work the 124 chains soooooper loose which will make the dc row easier and faster to do. All in all a great pattern and I'm sharing it with friends! Thanks :-)
I just came over from your 2020 News Years video. I love this beautiful fringed triangle shawl, it has a great shape and so easy. Can't believe it's been over 2 years since the tutorial. Hope you have an awesome 2021.
I LOVE THIS VIDEO, the quick gift idea and the color so amazing, thank you for a wonderful 👏 tutorial.
LOVE, love this pattern. I'm on my second scarf. I fell in love with the pattern, drape and fringe! I had to start another👍🏼😁. Thank you for sharing!
Very pretty shawl and so easy - just what I am looking for! Thank you!
It’s beautiful and I’m going to start making this one now. Thanks for sharing it with us 😊
Exactly what I've been looking for! Starting right now as we speak 😅 btw youre gorgeous!
I love this shawl and the fringe are awesome although not really into them. But they look so good with this shawl.
Very pretty! It look like it would be very fast to make. Thank you!
Love it! Simple easy and beautiful 🤩
Hi pattern is super and easy to do. Thank you for the easy pattern
What a lovely easy make Melody. I love it.Im doing a shawl in Seed stitch at the moment, which uses, LOTS of stitches, and gets bigger with each row ,so this will be a lovely make after . Thankyou.x x Amanda 😊💞
My pleasure! I love seed stitch! This will be a great palette cleanser afterward and you will have it done in no time. :)
I'm looking forward to making this. It's very pretty. I just printed the pattern. Thanks!!
Love ❤️ it, I've made a few in different colours, thank you.💐
You’re welcome 😊
Pretty, and great for the summer.
Trish Bresolin thank you!!
I like the airiness of this pattern! Is there a multiple or can I just crochet any number of chains if I want to make it longer?
Love the shawl, but I used a different yarn, and it shrank as I went along. Will just practice more. The right tools are everything. 😌
Pretty shawl! Happy New Year!
I love this, going to make one off these with the yarn I got for Christmas this year.
So pretty! Thank you very much!
Hey just made this with Caron Cakes. Love how it turned out: Can you tell me what your measurements were. I went up to a 12 mm hook.
Debbie Procek Wow, what color did you use? 56” wide and 16” deep on my N hook.
Thanks, I used blueberry muffin. I like the color Changes. I’m just doing the fringe right now% I’m going with 6 strands rather than 8 and I want to make the tassel like in your blog post. When I’m done I’ll tag you on instagram.
Were did you get the patten ?you make it look so easy .How many rows do you do ?God bless you been wanting to make one .thank you .💯💯💯🙏👏🏻❤️🤗
Gurrrrlllll.. why have I never seen this before??!!??!!!

I need to do more tutorials. New goal...5 this month. I can do it, yeah? LOL ((hugs)) hope you are having a great day, girl!
5 tutorials in 1 month?? Possible... hahahaa..
I'll be right here waiting 😁
Thank you
This would look great in Mandala yarn! I plan on making it in Mandala wool-ease inspired by the Greek gods and goddesses in the color Poseidon!
Hi I'm wondering how to make this smaller for a toddler? Instead of chaining to 120 should I cut that number in half?
I would say even smaller. I would try chaining 50 and make the fringe shorter, too. That will make your first row have 23 chain spaces in it and it will end up about 10 rows long and will be about 10" long before fringe.
You can use the same size to make the fringe, attach it and then secure each attachment with a little fabric glue (they sell it in the sewing area anywhere you find one) and then give that fringe a good haircut so it's shorter for safety. Please, let me see if you make one! That sounds adorable. What a wonderful idea!
WOW! LOVE IT!! Thanks
Very cool. Thank you.
Very pretty!
I love this. I finished it in a few hours. I used Lionbrand Jeans yarn. It came out much smaller. Did you block yours?
We are Hawaii
I have done a little homework and even though the ball says you are getting the same weight and length of yarn...the Jeans yarn is just smaller. I would never guess it but holding it in my hands and comparing to my other 100 gram balls of yarn its just a much smaller ball of yarn. I am working on a purse in Jeans right now so I got a chance to compare it to several and its so odd! I didn't block mine. How big did the shawl end up?
I love it ❤
This is a very pretty
wao amazing I will try
Can this shawl be made bigger by adding more chains at top?
Yes! Just keep going onto a second ball of yarn.
Soooooo beautiful
Hi nice project
Thanks so much, Tina!
Can I add more chains in the beginning? To make the shawl is wider?
Yes! But, it will take more than one ball of yarn. Totally worth it...the only reason I made it one ball of yarn is because we all have that one weird ball of yarn in our stash and this project is great for that. But you can make this as big as you like. :)
Do you have any instructions that are broken form further or slower. I've never crocheted and I cannot keep up with this. I macrame but this is very different.
Do you know you can slow down the speed of a video? Touch the screen and you'll see three dots on the right hand side. Choose playback speed. You can slow it way down. Realistically, you need to learn the bare basics of crochet for any project, even an easy one. Don't give up! Learning something new is always a bit of a challenge but worth it!
how did you put it on in the picture of you wearing it?
Im not sure which one you are speaking of...But usually I put the long center in the frong and then take both sides around and behind my head and then let them hang in front on my shoulders. Its stays in place really well that way because of the tassels. :)
Cute!
Thank you!
how many to chain to make this larger?
jan schildknecht hi, I’m not an expert, but I can tell is multiple of 3 +1, I just assumed it for the way she wrote the pattern 👍🏻
This is awesome! What are the multiples because l would like to make this a lil bigger? Thanku 🙂
Lisa Marsh hi, I’m not an expert, but I can tell is x3 +1, I just assumed it for the way she wrote the pattern 👍🏻
i would like to make it a little bigger too
My name is Melody too 😊
I want to make this
very nice
Is this ok for a bikini pareo?
It would be great for that!
En español :(
Cristina Inostroza hola, no te desanimes. Visita su página, el enlace está en los comentarios. Copias el patrón (es muy pequeño) y lo pegas en el buscador de Google y lo pides traducir a español 👍🏻 sino puedes me preguntas y yo te ayudo.
The fringes reminds me of bed hair. Messy and uneven.
