Lol I am just used to using the original Z Flip and have been flipping for over a year now. It becomes muscle memory just like anything else you do

@@mobilkameran9577 Probably not. Since it survived jerryrigeverytjing's test i'd say it's fine. BUT,i think the hinge will get a bit more loose overtime. I played around with some display models a few days ago and they are fine,but they feel to have a smaller resistance when they open and close compared to mine
I did that with my original flip once....and never did it again for fear of throwing it and or hurting the screen.

I'm using the strap case from Samsung. And honestly, I love it. I recently realized that I get like a natural haptic feedback out of it when I'm charging and typing while lying in my bed because the end part hits the wire.
Bought it 2 days ago got the clear case with the ring ,am getting a lot of compliments in the city while using it. Looks awesome because I bought the black version flip.

Got couple cases with mine by using the Samsung credit when pre ordered and honest I love the white one with green strap the most..stands out best and get compliments on it all time..not to mention the the functionality of the strap while using front facing cameras when phone is closed makes it feel very secured in hand whole time.
When I get the flip I’m definitely getting the clear case! Right now I have an x with a transparent case on it just to show off that beautiful crystal colour you end up getting of the phone! Anddd of course I love the ring it’s such a cool feature so it’s a perfect case for me!

I like the silicone ones with the nice round Loop for your finger. I have small hands and I think that would work best for me. Good job on your video!
Thoughts on using a pop socket? I'm trying to figure out which side to place one or perhaps one on each part of the flip. But I also want to be able to use a wireless charger.

I noticed all of the case reviews check wireless charging for simple confirmation it starts. Unfortunately it isn't a simple yes or no situation. Introducing a larger gap between the phone and charger will reduce the charging rate and/or generate more heat. It would be great to report on how fast it's charging... Is it running at 10W or at a reduced rate? Verification of phone-to-phone charging may also weed out cases that would have issues with higher speed wireless charging. Something to think about for future reviews. Thanks for sharing the info.

In South Korea, they have a lot of official designs for the Z flip strap since you can switch them if you want. The clear version's loop can also be switched with many designs. I wish they're widely sold outside as well!

I got the white strap case about a month ago, and I too was worried it would get dirty quickly. Surprisingly, the white silicone is as clean as day 1, and I do put the phone in my bag, and in my pockets, where there is lint and dust and stuff, so that was a pleasant surprise. The strap, on the other hand... It's filthy, I'll have to toss it in a laundry bag and wash it in the washing machine to get it clean, probably.

Do these cases require or come with stickers so that they don't slip off? I've seen stickers provided with other cases.
This makes me want to stay by the window now and wait for the UPS. I love the clear with the hook looks functional but a beauty if there is such a thing.

Got the clear case. Though I like it, I find that it scratches way to easily. Spent a few days, nothing too crazy, found tons of rather deep scratches at the bottom corners already.
Thank you for your review of the cases. My hubby is turning 60 next two weeks and the my 2 kids is chipping in their student allowance to buy the phone for their dad 🙂 for his suprise BDay gift. It's a nice phone but not cheap in Down Under as well as the cases.

Good content. The flip phone to me at least is just a fashion phone. how much protection will these fashion cases give if dropped? And when it hits the ground will they protect the phone or will it pop off the phone thus damaging the phone?
Could you use the ring attachment on other cases? Sense it's not attached could you put it on the inside of other cases to add the ring to all your different cases that don't have it?

I ordered the navy/orange strap case mostly for looks, I’m struggling to find any use for the metal bit at the end of the strap. It seems to just be added bulk, have you found any uses for it? I imagine hooking keys up to it could potentially scratch the outer screen.

That film in the clear case is for decoration purpose. It is actually popular for Asian women. They put some cute stickers on the film and assemble the clear case. So, the stickers are protected and visible through the case.

Might be picking up a couple. Already ordered the clear one and a charger from Samsung but my z3 won't be arriving for another month. I ordered mine and paid in full for some Google fi credit. Kinda disappointed they're shipping so damn late compared to when other suppliers are shipping it seems. Thanks for the review I headed complaints about how the clear case ring comes out during use. Good to hear no complaints from you about the issue.
That clear case design is just weird, its not very user friendly as far as setup goes. No one is going to want to take it off after they put it on lol. Good looking nonetheless!
@@ShaneSymonds Good to hear some other opinions and a early warning. 😂 Drgardless of how bad or good the case is I love I love the phone and I'm exited to see what cases come out for it so it can be more protected and take full advantage of the phones features. I enjoy custimizing and making things more personal that's why I got the clear case for now. I'll just be extra careful not to drop the flip 3...
Btw I ordered my phone from t mobile. I also ordered a clear case from them but it was none of these. Its more of a silicone case ( brand is Tech21). My only issue is that the case does not stay in place. They slide ride off. The case does have a very thin line of double sided tape inside but it doesn't help much. Of course i wiped the phone down from any finger prints before I put the case on. After a couple weeks I decided to try to apply some adhesive promoter to the phone but that barely helped. I think Im just gonna apply more double sided tape... I don't like the clear case much. Shows the tiniest amount of dirt between the case and the phone. Already put some vinyl wrap on it and it looks so much better

Shane, I know you tested wireless charging with these but I have the strap loop cases and we CANNOT get them to work on our wireless chargers. We have a semi upright samsung wireless stand and a pixel wireless stand and they don't connect right on either. The only one that works for us is our samsung flat wireless charger. Something to note for people with chargers with a different orientation other than the flat variant.
Thanks for pointing that out - I have all flat wireless chargers at my house so I haven't had any issues, but that's unfortunate to hear about upright chargers
@@ShaneSymonds little follow up as well, I'm having a tough time with wireless chargers across the board. Wireless car chargers especially don't quite line up right which is unfortunate but this doesn't really change my excitement or feeling for the device. Just something to consider if you're looking to pick up this little beauty....

Hmm... I noticed you've been showing the phone vertically and using the rings and straps being utilized vertically.
But what about horizontally?
It doesn't seem functional for the ring or straps if you were to hold it horizontally when you need to take pics, film, or watch videos.
