@Weaver0x00 nah just like with everything involving Tekken 8 people are stuck in there ways. They saw Shaheen in T7 and said he's boring. For T8 they carry there T7 opinions into T8 so because of that they dont actually research they just default to there orginal opinion.

Personally its because his lore and appearance doesn't really say anything about his fighting style. For example, Miguel works because his lore, design, and animation meshes well together. When you look at his appearance, you just know that the guy doesn't give a fuck. Then when you watch how he moves, he still doesn't give a fuck. Then you watch his story, now you know why he doesn't give a fuck.

Remember AK entering the FGC scene as a kid in Tag 2 so it’s good to see his growth to winning a major tournament like this
from knee and arslan struggling to adjust to tekken 8, to them returning to their old mains and still topping
the storylines just write themselves man
Arsalan made it to the grand finals even tho he was struggling a bit at getting used to tekken 8 but crazy how he adjusted so fast just few months to arsalan and knee and they would be back on track
@@Frizzy125 i think Arslan has not quiet adapted to t8. He's still playing his old defensive Style and tries to win with Mindgames. That nothing Bad at all, don't get me wrong. But that's the reason why he's losing to the new Gen. The Shit on those old Tools and Beat him eventually with the new Tools. He is using the new Tools poorly - still is an outstanding Player No doubt about it, tho
(I do get that Tekken on the highest lvl is won by Mindgames, opponent conditioning and 50:50s)

@@delacroixii I ain’t copin dumbass it’s a completely new game it takes time to learn because tekken 7 wasn’t aggressive it was about good defence strategy and all of the pros adapted to that style but now in tekken 8 there is no defensive strategy and that is why you can see under dogs winning
the contrast between watching the old gods and the new blood fight is so drastic

farzeen vs ak was just pure rapid, but not mindless, aggression

I think we are finally seeing why Namco designed T8 the way they did. The reward for discipline and playing in frame in T7 made it look more like a turn based game instead of a fighting game.

I watched the AK-Farzeen set live but watching it again made me realize that this may very well be my favorite set of TEKKEN 8 (so far 👀)...the back-and-forth of how close it was made it so hype and the non-stop aggression really made it fun to watch and I think that's what the TEKKEN team was aiming for

i think part of the reason people like Knee struggle to get rid of the T7 instinct could be because of practice partners too. if everyone you play against still has those same instincts, you aren't pushed to adapt out of them
I want Knee to stick with Bryan and win so badly! I always rooted for Arslan in the rivalry, but now for this game I am team Knee since he got this far with Bryan.
love the format, live commentary is amazing, Phi. Big thumbs up. Breaking it up in parts makes sense, just wish I could binge-watch all of them at once ;D but then again, this way I got something to look forward to. (and I guess it probably makes sense from a channel-growth perspective too, regarding the algorithm?)

This combo is ridiculous. I’m nowhere close. Either I drop the d2 or the third ws3. Then after I still have to dash up and do the snk cancel fc df2 after the screw. It’s so hard.

Wanted to say this in the previous video but waited till it happened here, bear wr1+2 is very much steppable (like the rest of their kit apart from bf2, b1+2) and if someone starts stepping it bears have to take risks and play really unsafe to actually get anything started. Its not unsteppable at all.
Yes it is definitely on paper, but I think with high-level player realignment it introduces so much variance that it's better to just block

Wasnt AK that Kid who Cried his Eyes out Years ago when he lost? I cant remember if he was it its so long ago but i saw AK in T7 in Tournaments in the Philipines and his Paul and Shaheen where allready sick back then. So glad all is effort pays off now.

Who would have thought shaheen would win a stack tournament. It shows that, its the player that matter. But shaheen is better than his T7 variant. But AK used everything in shaheen arsenal and his slide .... you can not see it unless he does it intentionally to make you hesitate for a mix up. Farzeen and arslan match with AK is insane. Everytime at grand finals its been insane.

Peak Shaheen was played by Ahsan Ali in Pakistan's Baaz Gauntlet tournament. He came runner up but his Shaheen was far more aggressive and creative than AK. AK played a more solid and defensive Shaheen.
Not that we dont like Pakistani players. A lot of us just dont want a viktor to win. Shaheen was so fun to watch and im so glad he won it was well deserved

I never understand why AK does Shaheens (way cooler looking but) weaker combos that are far easier to drop. He is leaving like 40 dmg on the table every time.

The game is so aggressiv and fast, they should play only bo5 in top8. I think the games are to quick to play bo3. It would be way better for my opinion.

Arslan also had problems adjusting, but has successfully adjusted in this game throughout the Top 8 itself. It was very impressive, and I mentioned that multiple times

I feel like i cant enjoy watching tekken anymore which is crazy, it was always the most hype esports for me. when i saw All the thumbnails about how crazy it was i was optimistic but when i watched those matches i didnt felt any hype at all. I just hope it can ignite that spark again, would be a shame to no longer enjoy tekken
