no that is normal on all k5 and k6 1000s. They are just noisey engines, dont go messin with your bike trying to fix it you will never fix it and will chase the problem forever. every single k5 k6 sounds noisey.
Mettel M No. K5 stands for 2005. (K6->2006;K7->2007; etc) up to K9->2009 after that it's L0->2010; L1->2011; etc. So the L5 is the newest model right now.

Dosent suit the k6. To modern looking. needs a yoshimura tri oval exhaust of the peroid.
