Loving these video reviews and your written ones. Slightly off topic, I own a C298 (and a Denadrips Ares II) and am curious what preamp Jay uses with his NAD? This is part of a dual-purpose system for me but as I move towards building my 2CH rig the Hades/Thallo combo is top of my list, but I’d also consider using my 298 for amplification. Thanks
Nice review. I have the previous generation Synchrony bookshelves and totally love them. I like the info about the stands, and I think I might have mine too high. I didn't realize the on axis was mid woofer and not the tweeter.
yeah i have my alpha P3 for my desktop and very heavy bass for 4"... really impresive but muds the midrange and the port fatigues when listening in the near field solution: seal the ports, and for me the sound improoves a lot, and you can use tone controls or EQ to enhance response and well... lets say i don't use my 6" subwoofer anymore... there is just no need for that
These look awesome makes it harder to choose between these B600s and the Buchardts s400 mk II, Without a subwoofer which of these two would you choose Jay
@@Jayiyagi That is surprising answer, considering qualities of the tweeter in PSB B600 (which is the only weak point in S400 mk2). What about Arendal 1723 monitor, which one would you prefer? I think you've tested the tower version.
Jay, At some point, it’d be wise to invest in a custom made ( sized ) pair of Sound Anchors 3 Post Monitor Signature Speaker Stands, as someone whom has owned 4 different pairs of them since 1993, and being that I’m a mini-monitor lover by choice, I’ve come to believe in order to get the very best performance from said designs, this brand of stands is more than worth their cost.
You forgot the part that it sounds like a robot. No musicality.. I had to buy a couple of Kef LS 50 to get music back. Going from Kef Ref 1 to B600 is the hardest fall i've had in hi-fi. Just glad there was some LS 50 for cheap used. I tried them with Pioneer LX-82 AV amp, Devialet 200, and lastly Rotel RA-1592 mk2. The last two works on anything, apart from this speaker. I can't hear many adjectives from Jay either. I bet he didn't like them. I just want music to be played, this over engineered speaker forgot all about the music.

Man these speakers are sexy! I hope you get the new LRS + at some point to review.
We agree - it's a beautiful design.

Personally I would choose the buchardt mkii even without sub but that’s just my preference. Id choose the psb over the original buchardt.

Nice review. But what is the the bass like?

Better than the dedicated PSB speaker stands?
Can’t get in the UK unfortunately
PSB is made in China… 😉 just FYI not Canada!

I did a double take and was like wait what channel am I on?
Jay does our Take 2 segments. Hopefully you'll subscribe to see more!
@@soundstagenetwork I am. I enjoy your topical videos.
They’re not made in Canada. Designed and engineered here though.
