I must admit, whenever I see that you've covered a game I'm wanting to learn, it's the first video I watch. Your Lacerda videos are the tops. Thanks for the fun and clear rules explanation.
I have to say, I really appreciate this video, and what you guys are doing. Where I live, there's not much opportunity to try a game before I buy it. I can research a game well enough to see if my group and I will enjoy it(I have a pretty good success rate with that), but teaching a game I haven't myself gotten to actually play is a challenge. I played this video for my group, and they all got it. The only things we looked at the manual for after that were for explanations of the iconography. Your videos are the best rules explanations I've seen. Rodney Smith explains them just as clearly, but not quite as concisely, and obviously not with anything close to your level of production. The two of you make it a lot easier to introduce games to a group, so thank you.
Hey Christopher, thats great news. When I create the videos, I really hope that they are used in this way. It saves time on game night if everyone watches it first. Or, you just play the video with everyone there before you start playing. Teaching games can be hard, and there is always the chance that one person messes up a rule, so its good that everyone learns how to play from the "source" :)
