If these aren't cheaper than regular houses it doesn't matter we need homes under 110k

I like the more consistent and regular bead layer of concrete with the ICON 3D printer. Looks a lot more finished and high grade.

There seems to be a gap between the metal roof and the wall... maybe they could have used caulk? wonder why they left the space there in case bugs come in

Evolution in house structure, very solid home. No mold and flooding, No siding to replace and no fragile drywall. Next step is to create roof with concrete and finish structure in two days. I am very amazed and hopeful with this technology. Future is amazing. And one phrase from Elon, Future should look like future like Cybertruck.

Pumicecrete is by far the best building material on the planet Pumicecrete is a mixture of pumice cement and water mixed and poured into a set of reusable forms walls are poured from 12"to 24" thick pumicecrete is fireproof termite proof rust rot and mold proof and has a high R value and good sound attenuation solid poured walls means no critters can live in your walls Pumicecrete can be built for a fraction of the cost and time and pumice is one of the few building materials that can go directly from the mine to the job site ready to use without any additional possessing and zero waste Google all the walls of my house are made of pumicecrete

@@lilwalks There is 5/8ths inch rebar set in the foundation pour and sticking up every 4 feet or so. They print the wall around this rebar sticking in the air, by looping around it, creating like a vertical tube of air around the rebar. They extend the rebar up through the top of the wall (and the tube) with a threaded-on coupler. Then they fill this tube around the rebar up with grout. Then they affix an engineered, pressure treated board to cap the top of the wall, pushing the rebar through holes in the board, and then bolting the board on top of the wall, effectively completely attaching the wall to the foundation, and since the roof is affixed to the wall, it's also effectively attached to the foundation as well (within limits).

This tech was never meant to make homes more affordable. This was a lie. This was about minimizing the cost and maximizing profit. Anything starting off with a lie is never worth your time. Not a single home this tech has built and sold was cheaper than the surrounding homes. The "cheaper" they talk about is all regarding costs of production, not your cost to buy.

In hurricane country, a large overhang is undesirable. In places that aren't hurricane-prone, it's nice to have a big overhang to keep the rain and the sun off of your walls and your front and back porches.
