I enjoyed this, i was pleased to hear you mention King's Sutton it is one of my favorite stations. Reading is pretty much a new station unrecognizable since 2010, many happy times spent there with my then lady friend. Thank you for this one.
Lovely day Keith with plenty of variety and Lord Dowding as well - smashing stuff! I must say the new GWR livery really suits the locos and stock. You certainly picked a great to travel and a very enjoyable watch, well done!. Best wishes. Ken.
Keith this is a very informative video travelling to Reading. What a good collection you got at Reading seeing a steam class 57 new unit, then a doubleheader class 70s, very good planning with sunshine too.
Pretty good selection there Keith, especially getting a GWR 57 in the daytime at Reading, plus of course the Class 707 on test and the nostalgic 43002. Those GWR Class 387's aren't bi-modal by the way but are dual voltage - although they will only use AC power on the lines out of Paddington, they have previously been tested from Wembley to Brighton using DC power.
Mainline Trains lucky you I'm from MCR my favourite UK station sister in law lives there spend all my time on the station. love the Chilton 68's and the very early morning freights nick red shed 66077
Hey Keith, noticed when you were riding the Western Tracks..from Didcot towards Reading, there was metal rigging and overhead wires....so how far West are the tracks wired now then..?? ~ as last time I was down that way, quite some time ago though...wires only ran from Paddy..to about Slough..>>??
I really don't know mate. Did not take that much notice. Word has it that it is all connected up as far as Reading. Have you seen my other channel. ua-cam.com/video/IyUX8Fiw18Y/v-deo.html
Nice to see the 707. I'm sure I caught a glimpse of one passing through Epsom the other day. It's a shame they won't be around for long now that sadly Wirst/MTR have the SWT franchise from August. They want to order new stock & in time get rid of the 707s, 458/5s, 455s & 456s.

Amazing the amount of money that is being spent on rail and trains and how much is then wasted
