He could have exed the mayor, but he was clearly not planning what to do next and tried to appear still not suspicious.
He won by pure luck:
That night there were 4 townies alive and two mafiosos, one mayor, one doc, one vigi and one bg, versus a tt jailor and a godfather.
The last townies alive were suspecting Pipetron(as you can see from Bg will choosing to guard someone else the N5, althought he changed his choice at last second) for killing 1 so propably they would have lynched him next day or caught gf, because at that point it was obvious who was who, so mafia needed to kill at least 2 townies (including mayor) to win and make sure that vigi did´t shoot Pipetron who has no defense.
So Pipetron lied to vigi to make sure he got ride of Bg the only one capable protecting mayor,(remember that one of Gf claims is bg due to invest so it´s not a surprise), to avoid lose mayority next day, he would exe the doc and mafioso would kill the Mayor cuz he assumed that Bg would be on Pipetron but the Bg suspected Pipetron and was going to be on mayor.
And this is were they had luck, if the Bg has trusted his instinct and had be on mayor that night, Gf would have died to Bg, and Mayor and the remaining vigilante would have killed Pipetron after seeing the doc exe.
If it were me i would have jailed the bg, and assured the win, but maybe because Pipetron thought that vigi wouldn´t buy that doctor was evil he choose to get doc, and let Bg to vigi, thinking that bg was on him.
As I said pure luck.

I've only been TT once and that was doc. We won by me basically acting as a normal doc and the two townies who were left with me at the end were trying to convince me the other was tt. It was glorious.

I'd love an update where we can split chats, so we have a seperate tab for

I'd especially want it for the first one, it's really messy and annoying at times imo.
Or make it so that mafia and Medium can't talk with other mafia/dead because in theory it doesn't make sense if you're locked up.

You should have exed the mayor instead of the sheriff. You'd say that TT mayor is too powerful so you had to take the risk. Town still had voting majority so you would have still had the trust of town for another day. You could then exe the vigilante getting rid of all the town's killing power winning you the game easily.

I haven’t played town of salem just watched videos but I came up with a strategy and was wondering if it could work. Essentially it boils down to are victories shared or not, so is it just as valuable that town wins and town and for example survivor wins.
The strategy is cooperative jester. Jester reveals first day he is jester and promises not to kill if voted and then doesn’t kill. Essentially if this would become meta, jester always wins and town gets a small advantage over mafia and serial killer since they have one less threat to worry about.

Jester if lynched will always kill someone no matter what unless he leaves the game after being lynched and before the night ends. You cannot simply choose to not attack as a Jester after getting lynched.

In late game, couldnt you just exe the vigi? Maf kills mayor because they cannot be healed. This way, you wouldnt have to convince the vigi to shoot a townie

So the Consigliere or Coven Witch (trust me it's a way better name than CL because she is a WITCH but with her own coven instead of solo and with The Necronomicon!) is the 3rd best role in the game because you're going to win the information warfare! right? The CW, The Consig, The Body Guard and The Mayor are S tier (in that EXACT order) and all the REST of the roles are ALL A Tier or below!!!!!!~ Jailor is GOD Tier because he can talk to his victims which turns him into A GOD!!!!!!!
