Cathrin, I love your content! One thing I've noticed in your last few vlogs is that you constantly bring up your past 'I used to," "I remember when I would" etc. Be kind to yourself! Stop looking back because you're not gong that way. Life changes with the seasons and you'll find ways to adjust to this new season in your life and all new seasons to come. Two cups of water is amazing! Audiobooks are incredible. Keep finding ways to adjust and live in the now. You're so inspiring 💞
7:36 baby girl, he isn’t temporary. He is a permanent fixture in your life for forever, the sooner you learn to prioritize self care the happier you will be. It is so hard, I know, I have two and do it all alone and it took me wayyyy to long to realize how important self care really is and I suffered because of that. Take care of yourself bc if you are a sinking ship then he goes down with you.
I’m sure it’s reassuring for new moms and dads to see what you’re going through, which is completely normal. We tend to put ourselves on the back burner to care for our kids, aka “ service mode.” Great to implement small things to help yourself feel better! 💕🌺
Hey Catherine Stopping by to say hello and that ahhhhh once again I watch your vlog, but it is as if I had recorded it about my life 13 years ago.
One thing I would say that if I could do this over again, I would have hired a nanny sooner. It's amazing that you can work from home thus be present and pop in for a kiss or a hug any moment you WANT vs when you MUST.
If you can afford to hire staff, don't get an editor, get a nanny for the baby and dogs. At least for 4 hours a day. You will have undivided attention to yourself and your work without any interruptions.
You are still going to have 20 hours (!!!) of the day to spend with your son and the 🐕 🐕 .
Trust me it will make a HUGE difference in how you feel and what you can do.
Whatever you decide to do, this too shall pass.
Yeah I agree. I feel like her strategy of "prioritizing little man when he's awake and work when he's not" is going to backfire in a year or so when he's more active if she doesn't. I already feel like it is
@@laurenschwamb It is a lot easier to judge someone from a far. Living in the moment and experiencing is part of our life lessons. I wish Catherine and her family only best. She is strong, she will eventually get where she needs to be.
Coming from a good place a mum with an adult child and currently bringing up her youngest grandchild, 😊do self care while he’s awake, cook, clean, do yoga. Let him cry a little, let him know you’re there then carry on.
You can’t pour from an empty cup, on a flight there is a reason you are told to put your mask on first. You are a fantastic mum, if you ever doubt it think of kids around the world, there are kids surviving in 3rd world countries without water on tap, no heating and no target.
Happy mum, happy baby x
I saw the title and automatically I knew I'd love this video 😊
First of all, I freaking love the boy Mom things sweatshirt. Oh my gosh that’s so cute and it looks super comfy too! Secondly as someone who suffers mentally every day, I totally get it sometimes if you don’t take care of yourself, there’s no other way to do it you just have to put everything on hold and let yourself be better! I really need to figure out how to budget so that I can start having an audible subscription myself because I used to love to read myself, but physically I can’t because it hurts my neck so much being wheelchair bound and bending over now so audiobooks are definitely something I should invest in!
I’m really proud of you. You’re doing as much as you can to get back to yourself. I notice that when I stop prioritizing my body movement & meditating, I suffer quite a lot. Again I’m so proud of you. You got this girl
Only 3 minutes in and GIRL... I feel ya. I don't need anything from Target but it feels SO GOOD to get out of the house. My in-laws couldn't understand, but as someone who used to go to work 5 days a week and is now a SAHM, I feel cabin fever every day and just getting outside for an hour feels so nice.
Along my journey, I learned to heal first with deep no BS trauma therapy and found I received what I needed not want I wanted. Wising Up, Slowly.
You’re doing a great job Cathrin even when you don’t feel like it! When I had my baby I was literally everywhere. It wasn’t until she got into a routine I felt better. Getting out is soooo important!
We are dedicated mamas but we should also take care of ourselves (I'm so guilty of not doing that and running myself to the ground until I can't anymore :D). I would do the same and go shopping when I couldn't go to the park
Sending 💕 I know what a challenge prioritizing yourself can be especially in the first 2 years. I’m only now getting a routine down and that’s because my baby is older. I went through the no drinking water phase and anxiety/guilty feeling phase. It’s normal because you’re trying to create a new normal for yourself AND your little. It takes time and a lot of grace. Considering you also work for yourself, that’s also a challenge. Maybe once you’re settled. You can look at part time care so you can give yourself that mom time you need or your man will help out. It’s a journey and a season. ❤❤❤
I love your content! You're such a great mommy
Yes that book is amazing!
I don't know how you've been doing this all by yourself the entire time. You area superhero! I couldn't do it!
Omg I’m also listening to that Manifest audio book, it’s SO good isn’t it 💖 Love how aware you were that the yoga practise wasn’t serving you and then changed it 🙏 I think you might enjoy mindful intuitive movement and I find it a good place to manifest and embody your manifestations at the same time 🤌✨ x x x
Your doing amazing 👏 !!
to not be taking care of yourself you sure do have great genetics! You are gorgeous, and I love your home!
Wow you put so much pressure on yourself to do things and be organised. You've just had baby. Things will never be as they were ever again. Really appreciate your baby. The time goes by so quickly 😊
I'm struggling with the water/eating/self care as well, but I don't have a baby. I'm glad you're working on taking better care of you! I'm also interested in that book, just have to decide if I'm buying it now or later
Haha motherhood really messes with your routines. I have 3 and I cannot keep a routine of taking vitamins, cleaning, working out, etc. There’s always so much they need that I forget about me.
12:29 beautiful!! I love to be in the rain!
I’d love to learn more about your manifestation practice. I find the concept fascinating but haven’t done any actual reading on it. I loved this video, I’m so happy you ran out in the rain, that must have felt amazing ❤❤❤
I love this video Cathrin. In regards to where to put your vitamins so that you remember to take them, have you thought about putting them in the bathroom right next to your toothbrush? It's what i do to habit stack, and i never forget now.
Good video. One thing I did to get my self to drink more water is use a 2L juice jug and I clean it out then put a lemon teabag into it.
Love the bloopers, my mom loves doing that exercise yoga, Iam more of fitness 🥰🥰🥰
13:00 I’m laughing Katherine. Nice
Watching from the gym… day 2
New here loving here ❤
Seriously I was just talking about this water situation and finding it on my nightstand at the end of the day! I constantly wonder if we are related lol. My mom was a manning.
You should watch Deep Dive with Ali Abdaal where Roxi was a guest.
13:06 you're welcome ;)
😍😍😍
13:17
Yay!!🙂❤️✨🏠🔨🐕🍼
I go to Starbucks and I get 4 26 oz of water
The moment you said you have TikTok I went ahead to search for your name bcus when i go to ur link it will ask me my log in and I forgot them lol anyhow there are 3 Cathrin Manning there in TikTok and which one is you? cause I don’t want to follow the one that only copying you cause I know as a content, creator myself it is not easy to make a video and then everyone or everybody will just steal it from us..
9:03- 10:07 we really can’t see you.
didn‘t you move?
Yeh I’m a bit confused too.
Not yet. She only had movers take some of the stuff to their new destination.
