Absolutely! THE SUSPECTS are definitely one of the best bands on this compilation!! I also enjoy VITUS DANCERS, OMEGA TRIBE, DESTRUCTORS, ANTHRAX, CHUMBAWAMBA and BOFFO, THE PITS and TOBY KETTLE as well, IMO. But I honestly love listening to the entire comp from cover to cover!! Such a great sea of sounds, vocals and experimentation!.So glad to finally own a vinyl copy!!

I hate sounding like a snob, but, if it walks talks & sounds like a duck.... I recommend starting the comp at Let's Get It Right. I wanna, I really wanna tell you to start it at the prior track, cuz Kronstadt Uprising rocks, punk-rocks, & there is a hook, several, several catchy hooks to Receiver Deceiver, but, the chronic-sonic-phonic quality ain't there (like the tracks precluding). Hence why the No Label track hits hard right off the bat. It's gotta be a real studio recording, as opposed to a 4-track cassette dub (or even boombox/single deck table top tape player/recorder). IF YOU THINK I'M WRONG, I will just assume you used yt-dlp (youtube-dl) to import the audio (in)to a DAW & FIXED everything. In which case, can I hear your remix??

Hello, just to let you know that "Let's get it right" was indeed recorded in a basement studio. I'm the vocalist who wrote the track and paid for the recording to be made.
Well I think you do like sounding like a snob, or you wouldn't have posted your opinion. Crass accepted the direct sound of whatever recording was made as it was more representative of DIY and democratic. A polished sound wouldn't have enhanced the passion of the songs that were sent to them at their request, so Crass didn't care about that. "Bullshit doesn't pretend to be a flash production, it's a document of what people are doing" from Bullshit Detector Two. BTW there were no 4 track cassette recorders at that time.
Comparing to the 1st bullshit detector compilation this one has really a beautiful sound. I listened to it near 40 years ago and even the first tracks of this album come back in my mind from time to time, while I listen many something else today. I cannot consider this album without its 1st tracks.
