- This video is about my passion for Big-Air extreme kiteboarding. I don’t really have a competitive mindset, but with Big-Air kiteboarding I want to be the best, and that’s what I strive for.
It will reveal you some of my hardest crashes and biggest highlights. After winning the Red Bull Megaloop Challenge in 2015 I started to have bigger dreams.
VIDEO PROJECT:
When I started kiteboarding as a child I used to watch every video from the pro kiteboarders like Ruben Lenten, Aaron Headlow and Kevin Langeree. This had such an impact on me!
Performing in a video like them has always been a goal for me and apparently this year everything seemed to fall in place. I’m really grateful for that!

I saw Lasse last year training in Tarifa. I'm a kiteboarder since 12 years now and I can truly say I've never ever seen anybody pulling megaloops like him before. He was just disappearing high and far away on 45 kts with 8m kite. When he was landing he asked me to grab his harness coz he couldn't stand his ground..

Cannot believe I only stumbled across this video today, great story, looking forward to see you progress following you with more intent from now on.
I am new to kiting...
on that huge fall you took in 2016 which resulted in the 6 months recovery... it looks like you shot the kite out to far in front of you and not high enough over top over you.
The wind looks like it pulled the kite horizontally making you almost just as high as the kite at your max peak.
The kite then dragged you forcing you into the water, without giving you a chance to ease your way back down to the water.
Hope you doing better, that was a gnarly slam!!!

Can i ask you a question please : what was exactly the cause of the accident ? Why didnt the kite pull you during landing ? Is it because the lineslack ? Or is it just a bad reflex ?
Probably a wind whole just after the loop. This happens quite often in Big Bay!
