The thing that strikes me is the cleanliness everywhere...IloIlo certainly has become a city to consider as a retirement destination IMO...Lots of nice areas, medical options, cost of beer low (at least in one of the bars you pointed out!), etc. If I was a big city dude, I'd spend time there...I'm a country or small village kinda dude so closeby to such a city is preferable...Nice tour, James! This is great, I have never seen so many quiet little "nooks", and well maintained roadways outside of a major resort area. The tourist vibe is definitely here though ! Very unique place, thanks for sharing, best regards to the Missus.

I admire your respect in not filming many people , especially the females , HOWEVER on a lighter note , is it possible that there could be OTHER beautiful , hard working and family oriented females there BESIDES your wife ? Thia comment is meant with all due respect to the both of you and NOT as a joke. Getting back on topic , that city shows a class and refinement found here in the usa where I live on the east coast. There are many older run down and crime ridden areas here which are now starting to be torn down and rebuilt. In closing I want to TY for these and all your videos . If I ever get to the PHILS , I would enjoy meeting you and since I am first generation ITALIAN and can cook , would be my pleasure to cook a meal for you . CIAO

I love Illio Illio...I took the Bus there to Antique...it was the old Red Philippines Rabbit....it was like a big giant ROAD RUNNER...no comforts at all...a lady with 3 roosters sat next to me....😅

Another place on my bucket list is to stay in IloIlo City and go for a run on the Riverside Boardwalk (I know it gets really hot out there, so it will probably be a short run :) ). I saw Foie Gras on the menu - yup that's upscale but only costs 850 pesos which is a bargain when compared to the USA. Keep the great videos coming!
