Grosvenor Museum is Arts and Craft not Renaissance Revival ( no such thing). Chester and Cheshire is one of the best places in the world to see Arts and Crafts architecture. Many of the best things in Chester are hidden behind later facades. A couple of examples- there are some of the oldest shops in Europe and in one shop there is a priest hole and room at the back where Prince Arthur spent the night with Catherine of Aragon. The newly opened market is really good and the nearby Storyhouse arts centre. Telfords canal basin is also interesting. This dumbass video also managed to miss the fact the city has a racecourse in the city itself and you see everything from the walls. Probably the nicest thing to do is walk by the river on what is called the Meadows. The best time to come is the annual Heritage open day when many buildings not open allow public access.
