I absolutely love this channel and the way you celebrate all women. This feels like such a safe and inclusive place for the gals to get together and explore new ways to express themselves.
Ok I have so many thoughts! 1- I definitely wanted you to find a way to wear pink that you would ACTUALLY like so doing a whole pink outfit would not have been very strategic 🤔 2- I actually love the zipped up leather jacket! 3- emotional support loafers... i have those too 🥹 4- 7:09 those pantssssss 5- The last outfit was my favorite! I love how you made all the trends fit into your unique taste and they all worked so well!
1. ok slay glad I'm in the clear hehe 2. thank you!! watching it back I didn't hate it as much haha but it felt so weird 3. we are the same🥹 4. my coolest pants!!! 5. thank you!!! can't wait to go watch urs and comment all my thoughts too hehe THANK U for collabing with me, it was so fun!!!
Liz, I soooo appreciate that you talk about sensory comfort when you describe your styling choices! Comfy clothing tends to be disregarded in favor of “suffer for style”, but you constantly show us that we can have both, and the value of respecting our sensory comfort.💖🌼
this comment makes me happy, thank you!! Comfort is honestly my highest priority lol it has such a big impact on my mood, my day, etc; it matters so much!!
I second this! I’ve been struggling for years with accepting that comfort is my no 1 priority when it comes to clothes because I would automatically assume that comfort = no personal style/boring clothes … but I’m starting to realize that actually expressing myself through what I wear and actively enjoying what I wear also means a lot to me. So a video that explores those concepts would be very cool to watch 🙂
This is such a fun video idea :) I really think the boots make the first outfit even though they wouldn't be what I would think of to pair with a cozy cardigan
I’m so glad you did low rise with a longer top. Yes, Britney in 2000 was low-rising with barely anything on her top half, but the rest of us had jobs and lives, and the constant belly-out wasn’t something that appealed that much. ALL trousers and jeans hung lower, so a lot of the tops and t shirts I have from that time are at at least hip length. And if my top didn’t meet and I had to be more covered up because of the situation (I was a primary teacher), I would layer and wear a vest or t shirt under the other top. It was just so normal to wear your trousers there, and felt old fashioned not to, but only the clubbing girlies (and Britney) were out there with the super-low jeans and the belly tops. The rest of us were just going to the supermarket and doing our daily grind, not worrying about who could see our backside when we bent over. 💕
I also don't hate lowrise bc of how it looks but bc of how it feels! It just reminds me of being in middle and high school in the 2000s and how much I struggled with clothes, everything was uncomfortable, everything felt ugly. Sitting down and getting up 100 times in a school day in lowrise jeans was just a constant battle of pulling my pants up to avoid crack exposure even tho they couldn't get any higher! When higher waistlines came into style I realized I actually liked wearing pants! xD I don't think I could go back.
I was truly so shocked at how normal it looked because it felt SO WEIRD on lol!! comfort is generally my highest priority so yeah I'm stickin with the high rise hehe
Exactly! I was in my late teens/20s during all that, and it still blows my mind that I can easily find flattering pants now because for so many years even "normal" jeans were just weird and awful: low rises, no butt room, gapping in the back, and did not work at all with my female body.
Okay that first cardigan was really colorful and I enjoyed it Also the really colorful outfit with the collared shirt and pink sweater and crazy pants and reddish coat looked awesome
For someone who doesn’t wear pink a lot, you styled the pink jumper really well 😍 the colours are unorthodox together like you said but work really well!!
oh i LOVE that sheer outfit, especially the way you layered the shirt with just the top button done. I'm totally going to have to recreate that with some of my own pieces!
8:23 yes. I do think it will depend on your genetics, lifestyle, and age. For example, if you have a high metabolism, a teenager, and go to school you're more likely to have a flat stomach than a 20 something WFH or Hybrid professional. If it sounds specific, it's because it is lmaoooo let it be known that bodies really do chance when you enter adulthood. It's like puberty part 2
I want you to know that I comment on almost every video bc you tell us to do that, Liz. You’re bringing this upon yourself. This was so cute and fun, and I especially love how you were trying things out of your comfort zone without buying anything new just for this challenge!! You are literally my sustainable dream, I want to be like you when I grow up (I am an adult, but still). Cant wait to watch Maia’s video! Girl, wear your glasses!! T^T your incentive to take care of yourself can be that we love you and want what’s best for you.
Girl when you tried the leather jacket as a top in the second outfit, I was thinking that it would look sooo good if it was a denim jacket, and then you did just that and I screamed 😂 i love it when I’m right 🤭
I think if you really wanted to challenge yourself and go for a full-on pink outfit (not that you have to! just an idea), you could pair the top half of your Gucci-inspired outfit with your "low rise" patterned pink skirt. I think that would look really cool!
oo I like this idea!! & I have actually styled that skirt in a different full-in pink outfit before and loved it (it was in this video: ua-cam.com/video/vyCRIMD8c3E/v-deo.html hehe)
I’m so happy that I found your channel! You’re style is so unique and cute and I love your videos so much!! They always cheer me up if I’m having a rough day ❤️🥰
Ok the low rise skirt has me chuckling because I just had a similar conversation yesterday about not going back (yes back… low rise was in during my high school years and I fully partook 🤪) I loved the last look!
Another fun to watch video from you! When I saw the dragon top I was suddenly reminded that you asked us in an earlier video if you should do a rerelease and I think I'm in favour. And the drawing at the end was the cherry on top~!
Kudos for going outside your comfort zone! Favorite outfit was definitely the red and pink with morning glory pants. I wasn't sure at first, but it really grew on me 💞
absolutely adore the last look!!! suits u so much 🥰 also on the jacket as a top trend I find that when I’ve styled leather jackets as tops I’ve had to tuck/roll the jacket a bit at the bottom so it becomes more cropped and it brings the outfit together (imo)
I think the zipped up leather jacket might work with a mini to knee length skirt that has some texture & volume, like tulle, or pleats. That way it might look like a dropped hem dress silhouette (the bottom hem of the jacket sort of being that cinched dropped hem and the layer underneath the 'skirt part') if that makes any sense ^^
I love sheer anything but I take it as an opportunity to wear clothes that hug my body since I don't feel comfortable wearing anything that shows my shape 😂 also really short shorts and very low cut tops, or as a layering element under sleeveless tops that are a bit too low on the cut for me (I recently did that with a white top only to discover it was so low that I could still see too much from the sheer layer, so it needs a bit of fixing!)
hmm, the idea of pointy toe + roomier pants thing has me intrigued. I think my pointed toe oxfords w/ cargos would be too much contrast for me, but I wouldn't mind trying it with like my pointed black Chelsea boots and straight-wide jeans wide-fit full-break slacks with pointy toe dressy shoes could be considered a very classic version of this in men's fashion so I guess it's not that abnormal
As someone who dislike low rise for the same reasons as you, but like to experiment with trends. My tip for you showcasing this aspect of the silluette without feeling weird is showing just a bit of the hips instead of the full stomach. Other option I feel would be cool its with your assimetric hamline top
Thanks for another great video. I really like your content and format. And your style rocks. Gives me so much inspiration. Really loved the third outfit with the pink pullover. Would definitely where that 💛💛💛 but also loved the last one, even though I would not have the confidence to where it. You look so great in it, and loved it so much more than those bodycon lace dresses. So much more quickly and cool 😎
the third outfit is so stinkin cute oh my god. i love it so much i am also a low rise hater but in my case it's because i have weirdly shaped hips and whenever i wear low rise things i feel like they're 0.2 seconds from falling down 😭
If you haven’t seen it yet, a movie called “Orlando” from 1999 is one I think you’ll love for the amazing costumes and presence of red hair alone haha.
Oh the pointy toe out of wide legs…. Yeah that is straight out of late 90s, 00s fashion 😅 I remember my older sister (who is very stylish and loves clothes till this day) having those very pointy heels. They were so cute! ❤ I myself have been wanting some pointy shoes. They give off witchy vibes and I love witchy things. And I love the way you styled it 💗 Very cozy but with a stylish twist!
thank you!!! & That's a great combo idea I hadn't even thought of! I was trying to go more fall in this video but I will have to try that combo out in the future:))
@@beepwrld I love and appreciate how your weekend videos have been getting me excited to re-style my things in the coming week!!! Thank you for your amazing and wonderful work!!!
I don't think it's a flattering or easy cut for pretty much anyone regardless of body type. I mean if a person likes it, they should have fun and be free, but went through my teens and 20s in the late 90s/early-mid 2000s when low rise was so much the norm it was hard to find pants that did not gap weirdly in the back and show half your backside if you squatted down or rode a bike. Even just "regular" jeans that weren't meant to be a fashion statement were fairly low, impractical and frustrating.
that sounds so infuriating i cannot image how it must've felt to basically be stuck buying jeans that you weren't a fan of. Hopefully your luck is better now with all the verities and shops that sell them.@@BC-np8cb
I'm so sorry but the leather jacket one looks like the styling choice from a kids movie where they try to go incognito or undercover 😂 but, hey I guess that means it's stylish enough for a costume designer. 🤭
The sheer outfit looks really good, but I think the added sweater around the waist is too chuncky compared to the other light fabrics. Maybe changing the undies to something bigger and less exposing is an idea. Like white boxers or something
Also, no, I don’t think any woman has a truly fat stomach when relaxed. I’m not sure if anyone at all does? That’s the comfort pouch, and we just gotta accept that no matter what size it is.
Last look was my favourite, but the pink outfit with the blue floral pants were a close second. I don't think the skirt went well with the overall look in the second outfit. Something about the floaty lilac pattern just didn't mesh with the bold leather red boots and jacket for me. It was better when you switched out the leather jacket with the denim.
This summer I am realizing that my comfort ability and desire to show more skin and be more naked in public is driven by the heat. I live in Austin, TX and it’s been a real hot one this summer. I remember last winter thinking “maybe little tiny skirts and ass out isn’t for me anymore” but as summer has kept coming I am more and more comfortable with very little clothes. I know it will shift once things get cold again, but for now I’ve been enjoying wearing as little as possible. Also, since I am going swimming a lot it feels like “ok I can wear just a swim suit and it’s fine, so why would it matter if my ass is out the rest of the time?” Plus I feel some reasonable deniability that I am wearing a swim suit if someone says something.
So this is random but you look like a mix of my sister and me. Her eyes and nose are like yours and then my face shape and mouth is like yours. When you’re modeling the clothes my brain gets confused because i can’t decide if you look more like her or like me!! Just thought id share!
Dainty pointy shoe toes under folds of rugged saggy denim is prob not your style because it doesn't look good 😆. It works with dressy slacks, but I never liked the whole rugged jeans with glitzy heals and fancy tops look. I am loving the shear looks. For me it depends where I'm going if it feels too much or not. Thick full coverage but cute bra or mini shorts underneath seem like a good balance.
Both the pink outfits are fire! ❤🔥Pair the sheer top look with jeans because being uncomfortable is not The Way. (I'm never going back to low-rise pants, not because of modesty but because I already spent the better part of a decade yanking my pants up. This is, again, not The Way. eep.😆)
I absolutely love this channel and the way you celebrate all women. This feels like such a safe and inclusive place for the gals to get together and explore new ways to express themselves.

I live in Minnesota and am also a freeze baby so warmth and comfort is the number one priority. My go to is a long cardigan

The last outfit is sooo fairy ✨
I loved the denim jacket as a top look. I think it would be perfect for fall, depending on your climate.
agreed!! definitely more of that look to come for me hehe
7:18 is my fave. Great colour combo and bold pattern!
The jacket looks were both soooo good!

Yeees the outfit with the blue floral pants and the pink! Sooo cute (also you look beautiful w your glasses)
thank you!!! (about the outfit & the glasses hehe ur too kind)
I’m so happy that I found your channel! You’re style is so unique and cute and I love your videos so much!! They always cheer me up if I’m having a rough day ❤️🥰
the denim jacket nailed the skirt vibe too :) baby blue soft blue light wash
The Barbie pink outfit was my favourite, but I'm also really partial to the skirt in outfit number four :)
thank you!! haha that skirt is so good, an excellent pink item I must say
You have such a great eye for colour and texture. I wouldnt pick these items together, but you look sooooo good
Thank you so much!! :’)
i loveeee the barbie pink (& other colours) outfit!! its inspiring me to do the same ! love your videos

Obsessed with the pink geeky outfit!!! So good 😍😍 you also made me want to venture into low rise… maybe 😅
thank you!!! It's geek chic fall baby!!
& haha omg that is the highest honor. it's honestly starting to grow on me more and more.....
can I just say I love how bold you are with colours and I aspire to be like that as well! slay
omg thank you! slay!
yay love this collab and both you !!
thank u!!!
I think olive cargo pants would go well with Barbie pink

‘diaphanous’ is such a good word 😮
hehe it's true!! I love a good specific word:)
So much more quickly and cool 😎

thank you!! that might be my fave

thank you!!!
The denim jacket was a better option 👌
I agree!! lol
i'd like to see the lowrise skirt with a tank top/string strap camisole and ginormous open cardigan :D both in a khaki/nude color :) or black tube top
With the leather jacket, maybe play with the lengths, tuck the waist up or roll the sleeves up… play with dimensions of the fabric on your body 🙂
I wish I could, it's just too heavy and stiff!! love this vision for another jacket tho
💓💓amazing quality video 💓💓
thank you!!
We’re opposites because I actually just hate the way low rise looks, period; I just don’t think it looks flattering on anyone.
I feel the low rise hate because i got hip dips and low rise makes them so prominent!
I don't think it's a flattering or easy cut for pretty much anyone regardless of body type. I mean if a person likes it, they should have fun and be free, but went through my teens and 20s in the late 90s/early-mid 2000s when low rise was so much the norm it was hard to find pants that did not gap weirdly in the back and show half your backside if you squatted down or rode a bike. ur so right for this. we all require the comfort pouch!!!
Pointy boots + oversized pants = guaranteed tripping over your own feet several times a day.
I HATE low rise because I have a very high hips to waist ratio and low rise are sooooooo uncomfortable for me.
This summer I am realizing that my comfort ability and desire to show more skin and be more naked in public is driven by the heat. I live in Austin, TX and it’s been a real hot one this summer.
