Dear Lord, I offer gratitude for everyone’s past and present intimate journey, for tender gifts that help to heal “internal” scars and fear of being damaged. Men as women have been hurt too, and can feel tremendous pressure to perform. I pray our culture chooses to collectively express tenderness as connection, rather than Gonadal. I pray older individuals from the “free love” generation, move in your direction, commitment, revealment as opposed to sex as recreation and hormonal fitness. As Jesus so dearly taught love is the greatest healing power there is. And for me Lord, personally, you know what is in and on my heart. Please free those of us carrying grief, and return us to ourselves that We may once more believe and share life as bounty and touch as prayer in your holy name. Amen
12 min. and 10 seconds in, Holly mentions chewing noises. I paused the screen and fell out laughing. Do you know this has been THE thing that has annoyed me to the utmost lately? I only say something maybe every third time because I keep wondering, "Maybe this is a test. Maybe this is about my patience. Maybe this is about NOT putting up an unnecessary wall between us just when our marriage is finally getting on the same page spiritually after 21 years." But oh my goodness, I felt like that statement was just for me. I am constantly in my head yelling for God to give me some serious patience while I'm cringing because that is a gigantic pet peeve of mine. Thank you for keeping it real, Holly. Thank you both for going down these particular rabbit holes. Very encouraging stuff.

What a beautiful intimate conversation about marriage and I agree with Holly that this is a cheat code/sneak peak into solutions before you have the issues that face soooo many Christian marriages and even relationships! There is so much fear this and that from the pulpits about the Lord rather than He created this beautiful relationship for you and I to seek and weave deeper into the fabric of our families!
