In the 80s I watched Praise The Lord/ TBN, day and night!! I looked forward to relaxing after work with all the Wonderful people on each day!! It's so hard to see it gone by the wayside as the Strong Program it was in those days!!☹️😥
I should point out that TBN is running classic Praise episodes Monday thru Thursday nights, and that this was the second edition of the Praise open. And, there was another announcer prior to Jim McClellan, Ed somebody.
HERE WE GO!!! I haven't heard this song in *ages*!!! :-) Now if I can only find an instrumental recording (or at least a recording without the audience or the announcer)... :-) UPDATE [30 July 2020]: Clarification: I wish that I had a clean recording, but I do not have one. The smile next to my second sentence is a smile of hope for someone to find & preserve this beautiful, uplifting music.
MeloaEpiphany Do you want a clean copy of the 1980s TBN Praise the Lord closing theme and the 1992 TBN Praise the Lord opening theme without voiceover and audience?
@SaintMichael305 I should also mention that the "...some of the most beautiful prayer partners in the world" line was changed to "prayer partners from around America" in around late 1988-early 1989.
Alex Clarke Like The TBN ID at the time was actually done by The Post Group of Los Angeles (they apparently found Cranston/Csuri too expensive...and too far away in Columbus, Ohio).
Oh my god, the correct answer is..... The "some of most beautiful prayer partners in the world" line was changed to "prayer partners from Around America" in 1990

As a Christian, this is the coolest channel ever
The hosts of the program, are actress Crystal Bernard's parents. She played on "Wings" and "It's A Living".

I would also have to say I prefer the older open chroma key. Brings back good memories. thanks for posting this.
I remember this opening when I first started watching TBN in the early 90's, I think this is before they changed the theme.

@@AlexClarke619 If possible, that would be splendid, and I would be quite grateful. :-)

I love this!!!!
@johnnyafairbanks
i do have that on a tape somewhere. i think it's on a broadcast Beta SP tape and I can't dub that format at the moment.
@jgee201066 Based on the Christmas decorations, this appears to be from December 1987.
the late 1980s TBN Praise the Lord open done by Image West and Cranston/Csuri Productions

Where may i find computer graphics with pics revolving the earth?
Good night, Philadelphia!
wow, this is right when Jim started announcing for th network
@DerrickLee2006
his name is Jim McClellan. Very nice guy.
@SaintMichael305 Do you have the 1998 version of the 1992 TBN Praise the Lord OPEN on a Beta SP tape?
Yeah I know what you mean. Trinity had a certain energy during the 80's that has been lost.
@SaintMichael305 Well it's also been almost 30 years, lol.
Oh, and one other thing: Image West in Hollywood did the animation.
i also like the old open's chroma key, rather than the newer open's simple dissolve...
@14DaveHunter
i heard that but i don't think it's true. i'll check-
0:53 JUMPSCARE!
@johnnyafairbanksak Edward Doring.
i believe he has since laid off the caffeine! lol
This opening makes me dizzy.....
Cheese at its best
