I've especially identified with their songs about androgyny and gender roles. since I've been called "fag" for wearing makeup. Saying you have to be gay or bisexual to "get" Placebo is like saying you have to be black to understand hip-hop. Just because you don't belong to the group, doesn't mean you can't understand the emotion involved.
I love all placebo songs. This particular song took me through rehab for depression. To this day I crank this full volume to remind me of how it took me through to my current happiness 💛💛💛💛

I wonder why some people seem to think that some bands are only "theirs" as long as they're not so well known. Bands don't 'betray' their fans when they become more popular, and if they still produce great music (like placebo e.g.), it's just natural that more people listen to them. I dissuade from accusing musicians because of the fans they gain -.-
