I took the chance to sample two BD11s on the 101, an Ee on the 262, a BZL on the 58 and an Electroliner on the 86 to compare this afternoon. I’ve been riding buses since the late 70s and driving them since the 90s and the BD11s were the warmest buses I have ever known as a passenger. I wasn’t particularly impressed with any of the others - the BD11 was the best of the lot and - sorry for anyone who doesn’t like them - there are going to be thousands of these things in London (assuming they are adequately reliable).
I’m still on the lookout to check out these BD11s. I’ll be going too 108 tomorrow to check out the Citaros before they go! 2025 is gonna be crammed with bus openings and withdrawals and first days, it’s gonna be wicked!

The sound when the front doors open and close is amazing agreed?
Agreed! With Zip cards travel on buses are free however on trains you travel at a discounted price or if you stay touched in for longer then 3 hours (if I remember correctly) TFL Charge you maximum fare + a single fare :((

I dont think the BYD is going to be built as well as the Geminis, sure, it may last longer than an ADL before it starts rattling, but the BYDs will definitely start to rattle a lot sooner than the Gemini 2s did. We have some ex-first (london) Geminis that refuse to rattle, which is impressive for 13 year old buses.
One good thing about Electric buses is the Door are not harsh like I was on E200 on the B15 the Front was harsh and the back door flinged open I was like it was going to fall off the BD11 are mid for me also have you seen the Single decker BD11 I think It’s called the BD10
Probably not for the 108 citaros as I’ve heard that they will still be in service for a bit more longer but maybe for the 117 being the last ever route with citaros in London!
Unfortunately gal basically go ahead have stop doing byd enviro400 evs and the single decker byd enviro 200 evs the 325 route is going to get different single decker electric buses but go ahead hasn't confirmed it yet
@@HasanYilmaz-c6u before the new year, the electric charger installation at River Road hasn’t complete. I think they took longer by installing new chargers.
I prefer buses that are really loud and rattles a lot, it’s just very familiar and enjoyable rather than silent buses that you’d probably never be able to hear coming

@ they’re getting brand new and existing Enviro200 EVs. The existing one will transfer from 376 as they have 5 of them. So don’t worry.
These BYD Enviro200 MMC EV for the 325 was built last year in April
